Asada Grill

Ever since my husband and I tried this place, because we were desperate to eat something near oildale, we have been completely obsessed with it. My husband gets ½ and ½ asada and chicken in his burrito and I get either the chicken or chile verde burrito and it is amazing. It costs us about $ 15 for two big burritos and 2 drinks. You go to chipotle and you are stuck paying more than $ 20 for the same thing. It does take a little time to make your order though, but that’s because, unlike Chipotle or Victors Grill, they cook your meat to order. We live in shafter, but try to make it out there once a week.

Asada Grill is OK. Good combination options. 3 taco, rice, bean, drink $ 7.50.
Be by the server… pick n choose toppings. The Usuals available. Pico, onion, cilantro, whole bean option, cheese option, salsas, etc.
Carnitas is really good. Asada ok but chopped pretty tiny. Pastor Tasty. I would give the Taco’s here maybe 4 stars if I compared to my 5 stars Fav. El Buen Pastor Truck, Carniceria El Amigazo,
Don’t think Asada Grill here is anymore Tasty than El Taco Loco Truck Panama Ln or Los Tacos Wible or Fuego’s on Rosedale.
If I come back to Asada Grill it would be for their Carnitas Combo plate. I would choose whole beans rather than their RF Beans.
Gauc here is bland tho chunky.
I would rate Asada Grill 3.75 stars. Maybe 4. Because food is quality, with generous portions given. And that Drink included with the Combo.
Its a good solid lunch here. But my 5 stars Favorites for tacos are just a Yummy Level or two above. And I’ll drive a Bit to get to those Heavenly Foodie’s Joy in Bakersfield

I started to work off Pegasus and i went to get a burrito and i was surprised by the good flavor and the staff was very friendly and i like its close to my work, i will have to try the breakfast burritos next

This place is a huge winner! The food is fantastic and the people are even better. The owner «Sonny» is a gem. My wife and I will stop here every time we pass by between LA and Fresno. God bless you guys at Asada Grill !!! Step aside Chipotle. Here comes Asada Grill. !!

By far one of the best places around! The breakfast burritos are off the hook and the owner is all ways in a good mood and super friendly.

Heard a commercial for this place on the radio (Groove 99.3). OMG it is a hidden gem in Bakersfield! Absolutely delicious, clean place, freshly cooked food, reasonable prices, & friendly staff. I had a combination plate with tacos, rice, & beans it was amazing! I can’t wait to go back & try the other items during lunch!

I noticed this place when we stopped for gas next door so did a quick Unilocal on them. Yup, they deserve their reputation. We’re both gluten free and pass on the rice and beans so we ordered 3 carnitas, a chile verde and an asada taco with a scoop of guacamole. It was all delicious– as good as it gets. Nice selection of beers on tap is a nice touch.

Went there today for lunch for the first time… Overall food was good… feel like the cook over filled with condiments my tacos and that made it hard to actually enjoy the tacos and the asada. Overall good first experience not too expensive

I eat here often and always love the food. The owner is attentive and keeps quality up. I have tried most of the combinations and they are all good. Asada is grilled fresh and items are made to order. The Verde sauce is some of the best I have had.

Parked the truck and got some tacos here today, out of this world tacos, yum, might take the belt from el buen pastor, naaaaaa, extremely close though. 3 tacos rice and beans and a drink for $ 7, I’ll be here all the time, ready to go back.

I was heading south down the 99 and needed a stop and decided some food to go would be a good idea so I could keep driving to catch my flight out of LAX. Merle Haggard drive is a great stop for this purpose. While at the Starbucks, I looked around to see if there was any food near by. This place came up across the road so headed over to give it try. The young lady who served me was very kind and made sure that my burrito was extra fresh with the idea of «I want you to come back» she said with a smile. The ingredients were fresh and tasted great! The extra free chips in the bag were a huge bonus since they were stellar! Out the door for $ 7.75 was a much better bargain than the airport food that awaited me inside the terminal. I thankful I found this place so the next time I am south bound, I have a food stop that rivals anything in the area and it’s right next to coffee ;-)

Just good simple Mexican food. If you are in the mood for good affordable tacos this is the right place. I will be returning for more.

This place has one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve had. My crew and I go there all the time. We eat alot of burritos and this place is our favorite. The carnitas breakfast burrito is amazing. The Chile Verde is also very good. The staff and owner are very nice people. I highly recommend this place.

While the service can be slow when they are busy, the food is definitely worth the wait. Nearly everything is made fresh and tastes awesome. Friendly service and decent prices make this a great place to eat.

I ordered a carne asada burrito and was not disappointed. Everything was fresh and made to order. I ordered mine with salsa and cheese. The red salsa is a bit hot if you’re not used to it so my burrito was a bit spicy but in a good way. The interior is clean. I would have given this 5 stars but this is my first time eating here and I will definitely be going back to try something else. All in all it’s a good value for the money and I would definitely recommend it.

Been driving by this place for a couple months now and decided to give it a try. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The husband and I got the taco plates, 3 tacos, rice and beans. I really enjoyed the carnitas tacos. So much flavor! My husband ordered asada tacos and it was yummy too. They also had a happy hour of beers on tap. Looking forward to trying their breakfast burritos. We will definitely be regulars!

Been here twice and both times the food was awesome. The carnitas tacos are the best. They have a pretty good hot sauce too that goes great with their chips. Will definitely be back.

I have never eaten such garbage in my life!!! If I wanted to chew on cartilage I would have chewed on my dogs chew toy. This place sucks so bad!!! I’m so pissed!!!

My coworker recommended this place to me and I ordered the three taco combo with chicken tacos. Everything was full of flavor and delicious. They are more than reasonably priced too. The employees were also extremely friendly and introduced themselves, but in a genuine, down-​to-​earth way. No complaints!

Better than the barn. Let’s start with that.
The barn is made to move volumes, while this place is slower but they freshly prep it for you here, especially at 5am.
When I ordered my bacon breakfast burrito at 5am, there were 3 more people waiting to order.
Now on to the food, everything is great because it is fresh with the exception of the bacon. I tend to like my bacon crispy and not chewy. A good example of the crispness that I love is the burrito from Fabulous Burger. Maybe next time I will ask the cook, Mario, to cook the bacon a little longer.
They accept credit cards, mine for some reason takes like 3 swipes.
They are still finishing the construction, so the interior is a little vanilla still, but it’s clean! So they will serve beer, they have the taps in place.
Good food for cheap prices. Will come back again.
