Flavor of the day was red velvet. Ugh! Of course they had their original, which I got in a medium size with toppings. I got the four fresh fruits available plus mochi. It was good. The only bad thing is the size! Their medium was tiny. Yeah they pile it high but it is still small. Over five dollars. Pinkberry is definitely better, and dare I say a better value for your money. Don’t know if I will be back. What are they thinking? It’s Bakersfield, not LA.

I am a total Pinkberry addict. I have dreams, thoughts, fantasies, and things I hesitate to discuss in public about Pinkberry. Is this Pinkberry? Well, no — but for Bakersfield it’s as close as we’ll ever get. I stopped in today after reading all the Unilocal reviews comparing it to Pinkberry — curious, but ready to be disappointed. Instead, I was rather pleasantly surprised. The signage is barely visible if you are driving down the street, but it’s worth keeping your eyes peeled. I had no trouble finding street parking close by, Inside, the décor is cute. I like all of the purple accents — chairs, spoons, napkins; they give it a friendly cozy feel. The store feels bigger once you are inside than it looks from the outside. I particularly liked the multitude of artsy pictures displayed on the wall. There was no line when I arrived, but if there had been I could happily have spent the whole time in line entertaining myself by perusing them. They only had two flavors of yogurt, so I ordered a small original flavor. The smiling server put a rather small amount in the cup and then asked me about toppings. I ordered the strawberry and coconut, both of which seemed to be pretty fresh. When he was done liberally covering my small yogurt so thick with toppings I could barely see the yogurt, he went back to the machine and put three times as much yogurt on top,. I loved it! Finally an answer to the age old problem of toppings that slide off the top and out of the cup or run out before you reach the bottom! I was able to make them come out even without losing a single coconut shaving to the floor! The flavor and texture of the yogurt was excellent, too. Yes, Pinkberry will still be one of my first stops when I’m headed out of town, but Burrberry will do an admirable job of helping be slake my cravings when I’m at home. I’ll definitely be back! Often!

I’ve only ever tried their original flavor. It is so good that I’ve never seen a reason to try their featured flavors! I like their toppings, too. They tend to have seasonal fruit, which when I was there this spring was lots and lots of berries. They also have crushed candies, like Reese’s pieces to add on-top. The fact that they offer unlimited toppings for only a dollar more feels like a steal to me. My only lament is that they seem to close early for my tastes. I’ve never caught them open after 8pm. I don’t think they’re in a bad neighborhood, but perhaps they just don’t get enough foot traffic after 7pm or so. Anyway, this place is worth checking out. I highly recommend it!

Great yogurt. Tastes like pinkberry or red mango. Large serving size. Toppings a little light but friendly and clean! Their tart is delicious but if you are looking for lots of variety this is not the place for you. They only have tart and the flavor of the day which changes. I had blueberry which was great swirled with the tart.

Clean and cute little place downtown. Went here during a heat wave to try and escape the heat. I chose the blackberry from the two choices, the other being the original. Unfortunately the frozen yogurt was not pleased with the weather either. Because it was so warm it wasn’t setting, but was still good nonetheless. Plus I got free toppings to boot. Cool! The toppings are limited to a few berries and jarred maraschino cherries. A couple hard toppings and the usuals. The frozen yogurt itself was a great balance of sweet and tart. I liked that. This place was good, but not great. Something just seemed to be missing… I can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe it was the lack of topping options or maybe I was too cranky from the heat. I will definitely try it again and investigate further.

I just recently had PinkBerry down South in Irvine and I really liked it. I was concerned I wouldn’t find anything close to it in Bakersfiled because we tend to NOT have GREAT establishments, but I tried Burberry and Yummy. I had the original tart with fresh strawberries, blackberries, and chocolate chips… It was to DIE for. I also had a sample of the cheesecake; flavor of the day and that was yummy as well.

Yummy frozen yogurt! Fresh fruit toppings! Not open later in the evening. They close at like 6 pm, which sucks. Wouldn’t it be nice to grab a frozen yogurt after dinner at one of the near-by restaurants downtown? 9 pm would be a better time to close. I know I would patronize the place more if they were open later. But overall, good product and clean and friendly business.

Delicious yogurt, but I wish they had more kinds of yogurt each day! They usually just have the original flavor and a special of the day. Red Velvet and original swirled together is TODIEFOR. Not overpowering at all, but still has the delicious red velvet taste. I’m glad they have unlimited toppings, including blackberries! My absolute favorite. Kind of expensive but worth it, considering there’s no yogurt shops downtown.

Finally!!! A frozen yogurt shop in Bakersfield that serves original, tart yogurt with fresh fruit toppings. I was beginning to lose hope, thinking Bako only offered yogurt shops with frou-frou yogurt flavors and candy-only toppings. The yogurt wasn’t as tart as I like, but I’ll take anything that comes close to Cultive up in Davis. There is no mochi topping(yet, I may contact the owner), but the fresh fruit ranges from blackberries to kiwi. And for all you sweet tooths out there, there are the requisite candy and cookie toppings. The shop also sells coffee, smoothies, and some lunch fare like sandwiches, though my main goal was the yogurt. It was pretty slow — I was the only customer… but with it’s downtown location, I bet business will pick up at lunch. The close proximity to the Padre, Mama Roomba’s, and all the other downtown bars bodes well for those who want a little dessert after dinner or before they go out drinking. I hope BurrBerry succeeds… I know I’m their newest regular!
