Cinertain Drive-In

Had a blast… Caught the Jurassic Park/​Jaws showing this weekend. Not sure if the Sam Lynn ball park is a permanent location for these guys, but it worked. Screen is smaller than your «old school» drive in, but adequate. It was set on top of a flat bed trailer which brought it up for better viewing. They had a snack trailer and snow cone trailer. Rocks taco truck was a no-​show. The picture quality of the projector set up in the back of a truck was fine. The sound is provided through your FM radio. Kids running around. Airplanes flying over… The occasional shooting star. yep, it was a great time and cant wait to catch another movie.

So much fun I would recommend this place to everyone. It’s $ 20 per car load no matter how many people are in your car. You can sit in your car or bring chairs and sit outside. The staff are super friendly and help you find the best parking depending on the size of your vehicle. There’s even a radio station so if you’re a bit further and can’t hear the movie from the speakers you can listen from your car! Will be telling everyone about this place and coming back very soon :)

CUTEST place ever! Came here today with my friends for the first time, and it was such a cool experience. They play old songs before the movie starts and even do a little trivia game about the movies they’re presenting where you can win a couple prizes. They have speakers out there, but you can also turn on your radio to a certain station because they have the movie audio playing there as well. Overall ¹⁰⁄₁₀ experience! Great group of people trying to get a drive in back in Bakersfield. They only show double features on select days. You have to check their website or facebook page to find those dates out. Currently, they are showing at the parking lot of Sam Lynn ballpark. They have a concession stand that serves your normal movie snacks (popcorn, candy, sodas, etc.) and they also have vendors who come out and sell stuff like tacos and shaved ice. The volunteers are super friendly and are always very welcoming and appreciative of your patronage. They have a large blow up screen and project the film (just like other drive ins). The quality of the movie is great! You use your car speakers or a radio for the audio. They also have speakers they use for the sound as well, but using your own definitely helps the sound quality. They also let you put out lawn chairs and stuff if you would like to sit outside of your vehicle or sit in the bed of your truck or back of your SUV. It is something great to do with the family. So, come by and support these guys.
