incredibly rude, incompetent staff. it doesn’t matter if the food is good when the staff is so slow and horrible. every experience here in the past couple years has been horrible to the point where i have walked out without even getting my food. wouldn’t come back if you paid me!

Called in an order for dinner tonight(to feed seven people). It was ready for pick-up when we arrived. Two young men working the front. One of them had taken the phone order and prepared the food(sandwiches, wraps, salad). They double-checked the order when we arrived to make sure it was correct before handing it over. Both were friendly and efficient. The consensus was that the sandwiches and wraps were prepared exactly as requested and were delicious, as well as the Caesar salad. Definitely a nice change from Subway. Much better quality in my opinion, so understand why cost more. Excellent customer service tonight. No complaints at all!

Don’t go here. Their service is horrible and their food is just okay. Really not worth it. When we walked in the music was so loud I couldn’t even hear the young lady taking our order. Then when I went back to ask for a to go box, the workers pretty much ignored me until they stopped talking to their friends that came in. Really bad experience for just okay food.

I absolutely love this place. I do agree with most of the comments, the service isn’t the best. But on some occasions I’ve had great customer service experiences. Now let’s get down to what you’re really here for. The sandwiches are amazing. My favorite sandwich is the hells bomber. It’s not on the actual menu but it’s a pastrami sandwich with avocado spread Swiss cheese and cajin sauce. It’s amazing. They’re a little pricey but definitely worth it. I absolutely love this place. Ps– the bread is made there.

We came here on a Saturday at 10:30 in the morning. The staff was very friendly and patient as it was my first time here and I had to take in the extensive menu. The bread is baked fresh every day and they have a nice selection, including pumpernickel. I had the BLT with avocado on pumpernickel, toasted. It was a decent sandwich, a good size, though not sure it was worth the $ 9.49. The sandwiches come with a dill pickle spear and your choice of cole slaw, potato salad, or chips and many choices are priced well below that. I guess I just have that champagne taste. The restaurant itself was clean. They sell their day old bread and bagels(which are huge) for $ 2 and you get a LOT in a bag, much better deal than the grocery store and without all the HFCS and soybean oil. We’ll definitely be coming back!

An old favorite I can come back to when I’m on the northwest side of town, food is good sandwiches are big, customer service is memorable. Love there brownies ! Can improve the cleanness of the tables. Price is high but the food is worth it.

I love the food here. My favorite sandwich is the Cajun turkey with avocado, egg salad sandwich, and the French dip. Their potato salad is really good. Love the daily fresh cooked bread and that they have diet dr. Pepper on fountain. Dislikes: The staff is very rude They hardly answer the phone when you want to order Togo They have more than once forgotten my side dish

I am giving a star more than I want to as maybe the sandwiches are in fact good. The staff completely turned me off upon walking in there. Just kids yelling at each other, rolling their eyes, smirking and seemingly not wanting to be there or garner any new business. It was just about dinnertime on Saturday and there was only one other customer. Think I will skip this place. Zero customer service.

I finally tried this place after hearing good things. It was quick service. I wasn’t particularly fond of the girls working there .I felt rushed and even when I explained it was my first time, Frey didn’t offer much explanation or help as far as specialties or anything. The bread was excellent. The sandwich was just a sandwich… nothing particularly spectacular, especially for the price. The only stand out item was the bread it was on. Obviously very fresh. The inside is decorated weird and the layout is awkward. I probably won’t be back unless someone else is dying to go.

The food is always good but the service isn’t great. The staff seems unhappy to have to work and the place is never very clean. Seems like it used to be better…

Home made bread and sandwiches the size of your head that taste amazing! Always fresh ingredients and a menu large enough to please all different sandwich tastes. You’ll pay the same price for a Subway sandwich, but why in the hell would you? For all of the reviewers complaining about service, you must be unfamiliar with what a deli is. You walk up and order a sandwich, the service is someone makes you a fabulous sandwich to your specificity and that is the extent of it. Perhaps you should look into or friend finder if you want more then a sandwich.

Came in before 11 it was slow. 3 employees in the back on their phones while I’m waiting for service. The service is BLAH. I liked my sandwich but wish the service was better. Came here because sequoia WASNT opened yet. Anyways … Maybe I will be back. Need friendlier employees.

I’ve had good experiences here and not so good ones. The lunch rush can get pretty crazy so I suggest getting here before noon. Some people rave about the Cajun turkey with avocado sandwich. It’s ok, it’s still a turkey sandwich so it’s hard for me to get excited about. However the Bronx Bomber, which I have always been reluctant to order until now, is pretty damn delicious. It’s a pastrami sandwich but with egg salad on it as well. Yep, that’s right. Egg salad and pastrami. Just try it. They also do a good Reuben sandwich. The service here has gone from okay to bad. They went from hiring friendly semi-grown-up employees to teenagers who think it’s perfectly acceptable to check their text messaged in between customers. I understand how hard it is to go without an Emoji in your life for more than 6 seconds so I won’t remove a star. With all that being said this is a good place for a huge sandwich when you are in a pinch. If I had more than 30 minutes for lunch I’d pick somewhere else.

Came in for the maple pumpkin cake, but walked out with three different types of sandwiches and some free sample cookies. I initially wanted to try the maple pumpkin cake, but when I saw it, I noticed they were end pieces which I am not a fan of. Next time I’ll come back when there’s a middle piece available. When my sister and I first walked in, they were quick to ask if we were ready. But with such a large menu, we needed some time to decide on which sandwiches we would order. We asked one of the ladies several questions about various sandwiches which helped us decided on which to pick. We took home the Cajun Crab Cake with the Marble Rye bread and extra Cajun sauce, the Coney Island Ruben on the French roll, and a Cheesesteak with Provolone on a French roll with a side of au jus sauce. We added all the fixings(jalepeños, lettuce, tomatoes, olive, etc.) to the sandwiches and paid at the counter. With each sandwich purchase, it came with a small side of potato salad(or you can choose coleslaw or bag of chips) along with a pickle wedge. They offered free samples of chocolate chip cookies and turtle cookies for us to take home. The cashier informed us that they were just testing this new recipe out, therefore, they would offer these cookies for free. When we got home to to eat the sandwiches, we all agreed that the sandwiches were 3 – 3.5 stars. I do wish I dined in at the place so that I could taste the sandwich while the bread was still nice and crunchy from toasting it. I did enjoy the Cajun Crab Cake sandwich, but I think it would have been perfected if the crab cake was deep fried or toasted so that it has some sort of crispness to it. Also, when I noticed the microwave was used to heat up the meats, I was a little disappointed. I try to refrain from using the microwave as often as possible. With the customer service, I would say that they are not the friendliest, but not necessarily rude like most of the other reviews claim to be. Maybe we just got lucky, I don’t know.

Went recently, ordered food.(After waiting in line for 20 min) the young man who was taking my order couldn’t remember my order 2 seconds after me telling him! I had to repeat myself every time 4x ! I finally asked him how hard it was to remember a friggin grilled cheese and a cup of soup? Really? The blonde woman(owner?) had a sour look on her face, just walked off and went to a table and are looking pissed off. This is my second time in here and I was not impressed. I walked Down to Athena’s Greek café and had an amazing experience with the staff and owner ! Get it together Heidi’s, successful people and business cater to their clients needs/wants. Thanks.

Pros: Bread is Amazing Cons: Meats are processed lunch meats, service is bad, too expensive. My advice, buy a loaf of their bread take it home and make your own sandwich. Would be cheaper too!

Pros– pretty good tasting food, good portion size. Cons– TERRIBLESERVICE, price is way too high. two sandwiches and one small bag of chips… over 20 dollars. WOW! Like I said, the food is decent, but the service is bad, and has been bad for years. I’ve been here about 5 or 6 times over the last few years. Every single time I have been here the workers are busy doing side work. cleaning, cutting meats and cheese, moving boxes… pretty much everything EXCEPT taking my order and making my food. Each time I’m here I have some new worker that hasn’t been there very long making my food. The short brunette girl that has been working there for a few years has a horrible attitude, the furthest thing from friendly. All the workers are complaining about working, or complaining about their personal lives loud enough for everyone to hear. A few times when I have been here, the older lady with blonde hair(manager?) will be sitting at a table watching her motorcycle boyfriend eat. She’s just chatting away while I wait for a teenager to figure out how to make my sandwich. Another time I had a new worker making my food, she had another employee over her shoulder«training» her how to make the sandwich. The line was long, other workers were complaining the the training girl should be helping while she trains, i agree. Instead, she just stood there, pointing her finger and telling other workers what to do. It was obvious to me that the girl making my food was working her first shift ever. The line stayed long because the girl that was training was not helping at all, just dictating. That was about a year ago, I thought things might be different recently when I went to Heidi’s again. Well guess what? Same ol’ shit. I walk in, I’m the only customer in the whole store. 5 girls behind the counter. The Blonde(manager?) and the short rude brunette were with 3 new workers. I walk all the way to the counter, still no one even bothered to look up from what they were doing. I’m standing there for 2 minutes ready to order. The blonde leaves, the brunette leaves, I’m left with 3 noobs(like always) «Hey will you help him» This is what I hear, then, «No, I’m doing my side work, Lucy, go help him» I honestly was half a second from walking out and never coming back. But I let some girl make my food, it tasted fine. Just would have been nice to not have to listen to the personal drama of these girls’ lives while I waited. I’ll NEVER be back. I’d rather go to Subway across the street. Won’t taste as good, but Subway is fast, and there’s no bull shit going on. Goodbye Heidi’s. You’re OUT!!! \

Today was one of those days where the girls in my salon including myself were in the mood to order out… Having ordered delivery before we all agreed on Heidi’s. Once we got our order together and made the call we were informed by another very rude employee that their delivery minimum was $ 50 now(which it used to be $ 30) and they weren’t even really delivering anymore. So we promptly chose to go somewhere else being treated so rudely! I honestly can not understand how as a business owner you think your going to make it being so rude! Working with the public you should understand customer service will make or break your business. The owner and her workers have poor customer service and are just plain out RUDE!!! I will NEVER darken your door again nor will I recommend your place to anyone.
