Sykotic Ink

I have had 2 tattoos done here and was very comfortable both times. Everyone was professional and the shop is kept very clean and well organized. I was so impressed with the way I was treated that I brought my own mother earlier this year to get tattooed for her birthday. My latest tattoo was done by CJ. She was very gentle and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. My design was simple and required very precise line work. It will look fantastic for years to come. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

I went in for a small tattoo on my left ring finger and I am very pleased with the work. Anthony did the work and he was friendly and answers all of my questions. He also made sure to give me all my after care instructions. I will defiantly return for more ink :)

It took me almost a month to write this because I’ve been so busy, but the more time I’ve had to reflect on my great experience the luckier I feel!
Background: I lost my mom unexpectedly a couple of months ago. The day before the two month mark I decided I was ready to get my tattoos for her (or at least the first few little reminders). I had heard nothing but GREAT things about Sykotic and about CJ in particular. I called and she was booked that night, but said she’d come in early at noon the next day for me (on the two month anni of losing my momma).
I told her I wasn’t going to be off work until 12:30 but that’d be great. I ended up getting off early and didn’t want to wait an entire hour. She wasn’t there yet, so I went ahead and commented her on IG that I had gotten off early. I was willing to wait tbh, but wondered if she’d come in early. Most artists don’t. CJ came in for me about twenty minutes after I had gotten there. That impressed me so much.
CJ has a great demeanor. I never once felt uncomfortable. I talked to her a little about my mom, despite the fact that I’m usually extremely private about personal stuff, because I felt comfortable. I had her replicate one of my mom’s tattoos on me, and she took the utmost care to get it perfect.
She worked efficiently, was reasonably priced (NEVER GET CHEAP INK JUST BECAUSE IT’S CHEAP. GOOD ART ISN’T CHEAP. IT’S FOREVER AND IT’S AN INVESTMENT!), and SO WARM and extremely kind.
Her work is my favorite. Her lettering is absolutely stunning.

I cannot recommend CJ enough. The shop is clean, CJ is the best, and you will not be disappointed.

Out of all the shops I’ve been to in Bakersfield, this is the one I will always recommend.

Great environment in a lovely shop. Awesomely funny artist. The artist are all amazing at what they do. I get my tattoos done by Cj. I currently have a sleeve done, working on the next arm, some on both legs, foot and hands and thinking of doing my neck. Lol. I recommend coming here for piercings and tattoos. Check their work out on any Social Media.

Got my septum here a while ago. The first time I had it pierced, it was placed way too low. It looked REALLY wonky. So I took it out and had it redone (both at Sykotic Ink). Kinda sad I spent $ 80 total ($ 40 each time I believe, and I tipped.) Since then I have retired my septum due to dental surgery requiring me to have an air tube on my nose and the hole closed up by the time I was conscious :(
Maybe one day I will come back and get it again!

My wife and I got a tattoo from CJ when she was a guest artist in VA. She was very professional and did a great job. Her line work, imho, is amazing and she had good prices for the quality of her work. She did multiple layers for colors and was very particular about making small adjustments to make sure every piece of it was perfect. Great person to chat with while she was working and she was humble the whole time. Very impressed all around, I’ll look her up if I go to Cali.

Got two of my kids footprint tattoos done and my nose pierced here. by far the BEST PLACE EVER very well kept and everyone is nice and welcoming most definitely will be my main shop to go cuz i definitely got more tattoos to come!

This is my second tattoo with Cj and I absolutely love her work she completely made me feel comfortable I gave her my idea and she had full control over it i wanted her to do what she wanted and she did more then I could have imagined love love love my tattoos! Already thinking of what is next…

My boyfriend brought me here for an impromptu nose piercing since my old one closed up a long time ago. We haven’t heard of this place, but I’m so glad we found it. The shop is so clean and nice, the staff is so sweet. We spent a little time looking at the art in the books and it’s great! The girl who pierced my nose did it so quick and seamlessly that I hardly felt it. I COMPLETELY recommend coming in here and checking it out.

My boyfriend and I stumbled across this shop and we are hooked! The shop is very clean and professional, Staff very welcoming! Our artist of choice is Anthony! He is a definitely good at what he does! Takes his time to give us exactly what we want! Can’t wait to get more INK!!!

Amazing work! Definitely my go-​to place whenever I’m urging for more tattoos!
I honestly can’t get enough of this place. Since day one the artist have been more than friendly with me every time i come in. Everyone is really nice and friendly which creates such a relaxing atmosphere for some one getting their first tattoo or for some one getting their hundredth tattoo.
I personally get my work done by Angel. Really great artist as well as a good sense of humor. So far he’s completed a post apocalypse tattoo on my right arm and a Native American girl tattoo on my left arm. He’s currently working on my sleeve on my left arm, I decided to give him as much artistic freedom as possible with the sleeve, I told him the basic things I wanted to incorporate into the sleeve and left the rest to him; so far he has not disappointed!

Awesome place!!! Not sure what the bad experiences are about… CJ is absolutely awesome. Lines are straight and perfect. Love my coverups of old tattoos. She truly cares about her business and her customers. Shop is very clean compared to others in town. She pierces really good too; got my lip done and didn’t even feel it. The other artists there are all very nice and hospitable.

Friend and I went in today for her to get a tattoo. Were there for two hours discussing a tattoo that the «artist» printed off the Internet, no art of his own to be done, two colors and he kept upping the price. We ended up sitting and waiting for two hours while people got pierced ahead of us and the «artist» claimed he had to leave to get change, but was really siting in some guy’s car. Looked like some shady transaction to me. Finally walked out since no one really wanted our business. Had heard great things about the shop. Too bad.

Got my ears pierced a couple weeks back, gotta say it was quick and easy they were very professional about it.

Never would i have thought that a tattoo artist could mess up something as simple as a freaking star.
my friend and I went in this past week and she wanted the word «tethered» in white ink and a small gold star. when the guy showed us the word it looked super nice. only did we notice after we left that 1.) the star looked disgusting, none of the sides were proportional and it looked like some jr high kid drew on her with a sharpie and 2.) he spelt the word wrong! He added an ‘a’ to the word so instead of ‘tethered’ it was ‘teathered’. the spelling could be looked over since not many people would notice, but the star is just god awful. if Angel (the tattooist) cant even draw a star or spell a word correctly then how could someone trust him doing a whole sleeve?
Find a more reputable place in Bakersfield if you want some good work done. This place is run by amateurs.
