We were tennis members Laurelglen when it was a tennis club and it was great. The takeover by in shape has been disastrous for the Tennis community and not at all helpful to the gym enthusiasts either. I’m afraid to corporate management at In-Shape does not know how to appeal to the tennis community or run a tennis club and yet they have by far the best tennis facility in the community. Best thing they could do would be to sell it to someone interested in developing the tennis club again.

This location is now a diamond level club. I assume because of the tennis courts? It’s the most outdated location in town. It previously was a tennis club, purchased by In-Shape, and never remodeled(at least not that anyone can tell). It hasn’t been updated since the 80’s and it looks it. All the décor is dated. Showers and sinks are broken, light fixtures flicker, and the equipment is old and run down. The outdoor pool is nice but the jacuzzi hasn’t worked for years. In fact, many of the issues with broken fixtures, etc, have been ongoing for years. I don’t think anyone is doing maintenance at this location. Some of these things would be tolerable if it was set at a lower level club, but to charge extra to workout at this dump is ridiculous. The only thing worth using here is the tennis courts, and you can pay less at other tennis clubs than In-Shape wants to charge you for this one. This location is NOT worth a diamond membership.

They changed this gym to a premium location recently. I have to say that this is not by any means a premium location. The actual gym area stinks of musk and sweat and all the equipment is old and dirty. The tennis courts are nice and all, but the gym area is lacking. I don’t think they are justified in trying to charge a premium price for access to this non-premium location.
