One of my favorite pizza places, but today was a rough one! Delivery took over an hour and the gentleman who delivered smelled VERY strongly of cigarette smoke. So much so, it stuck in my house for a while after he left. In fact, the six-pack of sodas he handed me ended up smelling like smoke as I drank out of one… Gross! I had to pour it into a separate cup to drink it. My pizza was lukewarm when it arrived. Too bad, because I usually really like Rusty’s.

I struggle with Rusty’s. I worked there in college so I know that it is actually a clean restaurant. The delivery is fast. I mean, super fast. When we order, we typically get our food within 20 minutes. And when that pizza is delivered«hot and fresh»(as they like to put it), it’s actually pretty delicious. But as a former employee(and that was a looooong time ago), I know that when it gets busy and the pizzas are finished, they are placed on top of the pizza oven to stay warm. But the problem with Rusty’s is that when it is not entirely fresh out of the oven, the quality of the pizza deteriorates very fast. I’m not sure what it is, but the crust turns cardboard-ish and the cheese gels creating a not-so-good pizza. There are some pizzas that are as good or – dare I say — better after they’ve cooled out of the over of sat in the fridge overnight, but not Rusty’s. Eating at the restaurant is the best choice because then you get your pizza straight out of the oven. Using delivery is a risk, but since the delivery is so fast, it’s a risk that my family ends up taking more often than not. While I recommend the pizza(and I love the thin crust with pepperoni, jalapenos, red onions, black olives, and bell peppers), I would not recommend the chicken and wedges. Too much grease for me. And Ranch? Forget about it. That’s just wrong… One last thing: Rusty’s is expensive. It’s probably the most expensive pizza in town. A large pizza with the above toppings is $ 25. A large Rusty’s Special(combination pizza) is $ 21.55. It’s a heck of a lot better than Little Caesar’s, but it’s also a heck of a lot more money as well.

Arrived at 6:00, ordered 2 small pizzas… one combo, one cheese… got the combo quick…30 minutes later after asking two separate times we finally recieved the cheese. The man cleaning/bussing tables was very nice and apologetic.. the man cutting pizzas behind the counter acted offended when I asked a 2nd time for my small cheese pizza that should have only taken a few minutes. Seriously! What ever happened to customer service? ! What a jerk!

You have to get thin crust. It is amazing. I’ve heard they can be stingy with the ranch, but that has never been my experience. Wedges are top notch too. I crave this place and order from them or go to this specific location whenever I come to town.

Delicious pizza! We ordered the Rusty’s special and the Canadian Bacon with extra cheese, along with the wedges. They’re battered! That was amazing to me. The environment is casual, the staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and patient(as it was my first time there, it took a long time to decide on what to order). They joked back and forth with me, all with smiles. They were quick to clean up messes, and get the food out to customers. Someone suggested asking for the wedges to be extra crispy, and they’re supposed to taste even better– I’ll keep that in mind for next time!

They are amazing! They saved my life tonight! They close at 12:00am. I walked in at 11:58 and they still took my order! With no hesitation. Great staff! Pizza was delicious! Thanks Rustys staff! :)

First I would like to say I love Rusty’s Pizza! It is a childhood favorite and was very pleased that it was in Santa Barbara when I was a college student there too! What makes this location unique is the wonderful staff; specifically Eddie! The service was fast and friendly! I was greeted and helped immediately! Both of these employees went the extra mile to make my experience a happy one! This is probably why I have been going to this specific location for over 20 years! Pizza tastes better when you have great service, thank you Rusty’s!

Not the best pizza… have to eat it all cause the leftovers suck. DELICIOUS salad bar. Hard to find one these days so that’s the big seller for me. Soo overpriced but damn tasty garlic cheesy bread. So it’s good and bad. I live right around the corner so pluses outweigh the cons for me.

We ordered a large combination and a large pepperoni and chicken wings. Pizza was ok. The crust was a little«frozen pizza» tasting. The wings were good. But nothing special. Delivery was really quick and the delivery girl was friendly. Probably wouldn’t pick them again based on taste tho.

Rustys has delicious pizza, greasy, but delicious. The service at this location is fast and we eat here often and have never had a messed up order. It’s my families go to pizza place.

Never been big on rusty’s. Got the thin crust pizza this time in hopes its better. The thin is worse than the thick one. Pizza was too saucy for me. Wings weren’t anything special and we’re pretty regular tasting. The potato wedges we’re really good though!!! I like they’re cool fountain drink dispenser too cause you can add flavors to your soda. Stick with the thick crust! Thick crust is 3 stars for me. But today I got thin(1 star). Ill rate it in between.

Disappointed with this Rusty’s location. Chicken and wedges were lukewarm, pizza was«OK», nothing to hoot and holler about. I understand that most places have an off day… but this is the 3rd time I’ve been here and the product has been less than stellar. After ordering 2 large pizzas an order of chicken wedges and super wedges, we were only given 2 little containers of ranch… when I approached the counter to ask for another couple of containers of ranch I was told each order of pizza, chicken and wedges come with a predetermined number of ranch. I let them know I was aware of it, and according to their«rules» I should have 6 containers of ranch. They looked at me as if I was speaking German or if I was asking them for a tub of ranch. After their weird looks, I was told if I needed more ranch, I would have to buy it. I declined. If you want better pizza with better service, avoid this location. Go to Me & Ed’s or visit another Rusty’s location.

This review is simply for the chile verde pizza. Not worth the money. Pizza was thin n chile tasted like it couldve been from a can. Nice attempt but def not Rustys specialty

Tried to have lunch here. Went in, ordered, tried to pay with $ 100 and was asked if I had anything else. My response was«Yes, two more crisp $ 100 bills». I was told by some guy that looked like he didnt really want his job that they couldnt make change«first thing in the morning». This was at noon with a full parking lot. I asked to talk to the manager, was told smugly by a female employee that Mr. Unenthusiastic was the manager. I asked him for the general managers name and was told HE was the general manager. I left hungry, went to Tonys across the street and had no problems at all. If you cant do basic things like make change for cash paying customers or leave a bank in the till… you probably shouldn’t be in business. Rustys has lost mine.

We’ve had this pizza twice this week, both deliveries, both arrived within the hour. Tried the combination and the barbecue chicken, both on the thin crust. Pretty much the best pizza I’ve had in a while. I have a sensitive stomach, and a lot of pizza places make me feel sick and bloated after, but not this. It was filling, but didn’t upset my tummy at all, even after four slices. The thin crust is really nice, it’s thin, but not too thin. Somewhere between the thin crusts and regular crusts I usually see. I was really happy with all the vegetables on the combination. They were perfectly cooked with a slight crunch that made them seem really fresh. It really feels like you’re eating«real» food, and not processed crap. The barbecue chicken is just delicious. The hint of cilantro really adds an interesting flavor. Ingenious. Must try.

I love the pizza here and they have friendly staff just like everywhere else i guess. The call center is local and thats a nice touch. The pizza is great; good crust, great pizza combinations but the prices are a bit steep. If you can get past the 20 dollar asking price for a pie, then its a great place to eat and one of my favorites. LOVE the wedges, and they offer beer!

The customer service is hurting this restaurant! I ordered pizza two different times of the month, one they lost the ticket and the other was over an hour late and did not arrive until after I called their«call center». The manager ERIN should not be a manager, her customer service skills are lacking. A leader must be stronger than their workers… She lacks this extremely. I did get a call from the GM which wasn’t helpful. We will not be ordering from Rusty’s again and this is a shame because their pizza and chicken are good…

I was feeling like pizza for dinner last week, so my husband and I went to this pizza parlor for some pizza and wings. He heard about this restaurant from his coworkers and they all raved about how it was a good pizza place in town. Plenty of parking in the lot. Interior had booth and table seating, plenty for customers. Interior vibe & furniture was a bit outdated. We ordered: (1) pizza — we had one of the specialty pizzas on their menu(El Diablo Fuego(The Fiery Devil); got a size small for the 2 of us with a side of anchovies. it was a decent pizza; we enjoyed it. (2) chicken wings(at least 12 small pieces) — the wings were«so tiny»! there was barely any meat on there. very spicy and doused w/buffalo hot sauce (3) small soda — the drink machine was so awesome; not your typical soda machine, you have to check it out yourself (4) large salad — one trip to the salad bar only, but you can fill it up as high as you want You order at the counter and they bring your food to your booth. They forgot our wing order until I went to remind them at the counter & they forgot my side of anchovies until I reminded them too. The entire experience was a 3-star! I liked their pizza the best out of all the things we ordered.
