Best bar on Earth. Or at least Bakersfield. This is the quintessential«real thing,» not some imitation of it. Wonderful people, great music, you’ll feel at home as soon as you walk in, and you’ll feel homesick right after you leave. A place like this can’t be replicated by a corporation — it’s born from someone’s passion.

Say hello to the cheapest coldest beer in town-music(bands, and Juke Box) Diverse crowd, cool atmosphere and one of the sweetest bartenders/owners. Keeping alive a traditions and serving your icy beverage with a smile.

Great little bar, with live music on Sundays. The brews are ice cold, and the atmosphere is definitely local BAKO and laid back. The jukebox has a good variety of tunes for when there is no band, and the folks are cool and easy to get along with; a few even are entertaining on several levels. The place was once a Southern Pacific Railroad freight house, but has been cleaned up some and is quite a good study of the local history.

No cussing, no shorts, no tattoos. And yet I love this place. Millie rules. Beers are cold.

Mrs Millie is the star of the show. she is friendly but firm in not let shenanigans amuck. She has put together a history lesson with the photos and art and made the old train station in a great environment. The saloon is clean and patronized by decent working class folks. There is decent amount of domestic and craft beers to please everyone. The bar is well stocked with a fair amount of premium liquor. Cash only but there’s a ATM if you need cash. This a low key place but well worth your time. If your looking for a rowdy place — this isn’t the bar for you. Give Mrs Millie and the saloon a chance and you will be surprised.
