Waited 45 minutes for a $ 30.00 pizza that had just been sitting in the warmer. They put the old, sad looking pizza on a fresh tray & actually tried handing it to us!!! Watched them put it bk in the warmer before giving us a refund. Get home & look @ the receipt to find out that they only refunded us the menu price, not a full refund w/the taxes we of. We actually spent $ 78.00 before getting our refund so they still got almost $ 50.00 out of us for a very disappointing family night out. Had our order been served to us on time, we would of spent another $ 20.00 on drinks for sure. Not only did they loose our business tonight but we won’t be returning to this place period…

Tony’s is one of our favorite pizza places in town. Slightly pricey, but tasty. Chile Verde is always a hit and Marty’s Meat Lover is really good too. Only thing I’d steer clear of is their hot wings. They’re squishy. That’s the best word I can think of to describe them. They don’t cook them long enough and the skin is just, well, squishy. Otherwise, we’ve never had a bad pizza.

GREATPIZZA… GOODSTAFF… But the people who hang out in this restaurant make me want to kill myself… EVERYTIME I go to this location it is just filled to the brim with loud cussing people who just let their children run wild and bother EVERYONE… There is only a main dinning area, a small arcade area and a smaller sealed off dinning room for parties and the like… Kids run full steam screaming at the top of their lungs from the dinning hall to the arcade and then bust threw the doors of the meeting room just bouncing off tables and people as they go, then into the main dinning area jumping over and under tables as they play tag or some other game where they bump into and disturb every person in the place… Their parents just act like nothing is going on as they prattle on about everything in Spanish… As far as he food… JUSTGETITTOGO… Their Pizzas are VERY good… The Chili Verde is one of the best I have ever tasted as well as their BBQ Chicken… It’s a little on the pricey side as far as Pizzas go, but it is worth it… I would go much more often, but I can’t stand how they just allow people to let their children run through the restaurant knocking things(And people from time to time) over… They should either ask the parents of the rowdier children to keep them in check or to leave the restaurant… Until that time, I hit up other Pizza places more often than this one…

Tony’s is the reigning pizza champion of my tummy. I always get the meat lovers and they do pack on the meat. I’ve never really seen the place packed, so service is usually fairly quick. Prices are very reasonable as well. The only little nitpicky thing I’d change is, stop charging for refills. This is America! Home of the free refill. I can go to just about any other restaurant and get a free refill. This is a travesty and shall not stand! But seriously, they have good drinks with crushed ice. So for all my fellow crushed ice lovers, you’ll enjoy their beverages.

One of my favorite pizzas in Bakersfield. The Meat Lovers and the Hawaiian are my favorites.

Very rarely do I not enjoy a pizza but this pizza tastes like a frozen pizza, bland. The crust had no taste and the cheese was bland. The sauce was just basic with little Italian seasoning. Good thing for the mushrooms or I could not have eaten it. Usually it is hard NOT to overindulge in pizza but this was not worth the calories. Little Ceasers and Dominos are better. Kids running all over as there are many arcade games.

I haven’t explored many pizza parlors in Bakersfield and don’t need to. This pizza is perfection! The pizza had a thick crust that was crisp on the outside with a chewy center. The sauce is super tastey and they don’t scimp on the cheese. Decent tap selection as well. I think the inside is pretty cool with all the fire department décor and it brings awareness for our service men and women who protect and fight for us. If I’m back in Bakersfield, I’m eating here.

Good very good… not great but yes up there. Atmosphere is bright and sterile but clean. Hit wings are frozen then baked. Same as wedges. Pizza is legit though . Games are old but kids don’t mind. CD Juke box is so loud it’s annoying if you want to see a game/tv. Staff is attentive and nice enough. For east side, pizza is best… in town top 5.

WHAT A SHAME… Well I am sad to say that the once five star best pizza in town has failed. The last three visits to the Mt. Vernon Tony’s has been really bad. First of three visits I ordered a large combo and a medium chili verde. The chili verde was very good however the combo was not cooked thoroughly and was Doughie, yuk. I brought this to the attention of the very sweet young lady behind the counter and she apologized and said that they were having a problem with their oven. She offered to cook another pizza but I didn’t have the time to wait but wanted her to understand that Tony’s is my favorite and that I just wanted her to know so the next guy didn’t get the same gross pie. The second of the three visits I had raved to a co-worker how awesome Tony’s combo was and took him for lunch. Low and behold the combo was extremely under cooked again. I apologized to my co-worker but didn’t feel I was obligated to tell the person behind the counter… It’s pizza for God sake. The third and which will be my last visit was today 12−27−14 with my wife. I thought I would try something with less toppings to ensure it would be cooked properly. We ordered a large BBQ chicken pizza(which is one topping) ANDAGAINNOTCOOKED. Also on this last visit, the tall young dark haired 20 something girl that took our order had a junk attitude… That was the final straw. I am sad to say Antonio we are done. Good luck and good riddance.

Tony’s USED to make good pizza; in fact, the cheese and sauce are still of good quality and flavor. However, their assemblage has become inconsistent, at best. The cheese only covers about 2⁄3 of the pie, leaving much too large of a crust, and the toppings are unequally dispersed, as well. We have attempted to talk to staff about the issue, on several occasions, but all we get is weak excuses of «some of our pans… blah, blah, blah», without any resolution other than«sorry». This isn’t the way business is supposed to be conducted. There was a time when small business’ cared about their customers, and cared about the product they produce, and I for one am tired of giving my money to those who care so little about these things. So long, Tony’s Pizza; we gave you too many opportunities to make things right, and you simply didn’t care. SEEYA! We, too, had the same experience as David I., on 9÷24÷2014. Discount for years, and now all of a sudden we were never offered that deal? What the heck? Yes, we did get the discount… don’t try to tell me we never did. Poor, poor service.

In the past Ive been very happy however this visit changed everything. First we called an order in for the Chile Verde Pizza, They said ready in 20 minutes we arrive about 10 – 15 minutes later. Gave the clerk my name she rang me up then gave me a box to make my to go salads. the salads are made and we are waiting, and waiting, not the 20 minutes from the phone call but 45 minutes from when we paid. To top it off now my salads are more like soup when we got home and the Chile Verde pizza was not the typical CV it has been in the past almost like they used ground pork over a tomato based pizza. I spend almost 40 bucks for this meal and it tasted worse then if It came out of the freezer box. When I went to the web site to complain there is not even a link. Now that’s not good customer service. On a side not the facility was not busy at all, so there was no need to wait that long the kitchen was fully staffed even to the point they meaning clerks and kitchen help kept going back to a corner where they were all eating pizza. The work staff needs supervision as it appears its a bunch of college aged«children» running the kitchen. I had to ask for a receipt and even then it does not tell me what I order when it was ordered ect. I wonder how much money goes into the staffs pockets and not into the register. I USED to love this place, Im having second thoughts now.

You know I just love when you’ve been going to a restaurant being Tony’s multiple times and you’ve been getting a discount because of a place that you work/volunteer for and all of a sudden you have a smart ass teen behind the counter that wants to argue with you that you haven’t been getting the this discount because she has been with the family for 5 years and have never given one. Well guess what miss you lost my business for you attitude!!! And I hope the Management sees this post. As for the pizza too bad it’s my favorite because after tonight and the way I was treated it’s my last!!! Trust me Pete Titl will hear about his as well. Tony you should take take of those who say they are part of your family.

Boy, there are a lot of reviews about the bad customer service at this location. I’ve only eaten at the restaurant once and that was for a company get-together, so I really didn’t pay attention to the service. Now for take-out… WOW! I treated a construction crew to lunch this week. Ordered one each Combo, Mexicana, Hawaiian, Meat Lover, Pepperoni and Vegetarian. Every combo was great. Most flavorful vegetarian pizza I’ve ever had. Great spicing, heavy on the toppings, crust wasn’t too thin or thick — like Goldilocks, just right! 18 guys… not a single complaint. I’ve had pizza from Tony’s about 3 – 4 times and have never been disappointed. Certainly mid-to-high price, but worth it.

We loved this place in Delano and we love it at the Moint Vernon location as well. They really load up the toppings on the combination pizza and they don’t skimp on the pepperoni pizza, either. The fellas always request the wedges, too.

So my husband and I shared a medium half BBQ chicken and Hawaiian pizza. The pizza was very good. The only con was that we got way more ice than drink in our cups. Other than that we really liked the pizza and we will go back.

The pizza has slowly deteriorated! The past 3 times our pizza has been made carelessly. Only cheese in the very center. Pepperoni missing from slices. For the prices I would go somewhere else. Hopefully they improve with time.

Tony’s pizza always taste great! The problem was the horrible customer service. I had a birthday party at Mt. Vernon location because it was close for my son’s friends. There was one nice employee, blonde girl named Chelsea. The manager was hounding over her shoulder, didn’t acknowledge me when I walked up to the counter on 2 different instances. Another employee Erica was extremely rude, rolled her eyes and didn’t smile once. I couldn’t believe how awful and rude these people were. I hope Chelsea doesn’t learn her customer service skills from anyone there because it was just an all around horrible experience. I will never have another party here or dine in, Take-out only.

I love this place. It is super close to my house, the ingredients are fresh, the beer is cold and the girls are cute. They have a chili Verde piece of that is fantastic! This time around we got pepperoni and jalapeño. They certainly did not skimp out on the jalapenos or the pepperoni. They hooked it up! I would also strongly recommend the cheesy garlic bread. This place is really big and has tons of TVs to watch games. Table seating or booth seating, and a pretty cool selection of arcade games as well. The staff is super friendly and are very easy on the eyes. They have like four locations in Kern County so you can pretty much get this quality pizza anywhere. They also keep the place not too stuffy and not too cold, it’s the perfect temperature to relax and take it easy. The one thing to be weary of is a lot of cops hang out at this place and in the parking lots, possibly waiting for drunk drivers or just to write a ticket. So beware of Johnny Law!!!

You know what, Tony’s sucks nowadays. I’ve given them about 6 more attempts since my last review. Is the pizza tasty? Most of the time, yes. Is the location nice? Meh, okay. The problem is I’m tired of their rude staff. Tony himself is a jerk, and he apparently surrounds himself with jerks and inattentive teenagers. For those prices, it’s not worth it. Don’t care about service you say? Well they also get orders wrong, and then they get huffy when you point it out. Approach the counter and depending on who you get, you’ll either be greeted with indifference or angry eyebrows. Also, $.50 refills on soda? Tony, you’re not just a jerk — you’re cheap. Yeah, I got better places to go. NOTE: The Tony’s on California seems to be immune to this rude staff issue. Maybe it’s just because Tony spends more time at this one? TIP: Order from Mike’s Express Pizza on Wible and take home quality pizza without the fuss. Four large one topping pies for $ 24 bucks, man. Screw Tony’s pizza.
