Triangle Eye Institute

This is an awful office. I went in for glasses and contacts and paid for both. I was going to get sent the contacts and I had paid for them and my lenses but then they fired the manager I was working with. Apparently she was giving me too good of a deal. Then, instead of honouring the deal they tried to sell me on more services and refused to even refund me for the products they never sent me.
I don’t live in Bakersfield and so it doesn’t make sense to use them as my permanent office, and when I told them I’m no longer in Bakersfield they demanded me to show them receipts of the money I paid them for a refund. It’s not my job as the patient to keep those records, it’s theirs, and when I did show them the receipt for money I paid for the contacts they refused to accept and then changed what they wanted from me. It was such a hassle I eventually let the whole thing go but I’m still upset about it.

If there was zero stars, I would rate this place a zero. Highly UNORGANIZED staff, especially the front desk. I called to reschedule my appointment and was put on hold 5 times. Every time someone picked up the phone those 5 times, I was asked what I needed help with. I got fed up and asked if I need to explain myself multiple times. It’s a small office, people should be communicating.
I can probably write a novel about the multiple times I’ve notice how unorganized their staff are. People in the front need to be retrained. There was this one instance when the doctor had to go up to the front and say multiple times the price I should be charged because of my insurance. The lady that was taking care of my payment was still confused.
The wait also takes more than an hour for a scheduled appointment.

Got to my appointment 30 minutes early, and ended up waiting over an hour to be called back. Doctor seems nice but this place is highly unorganized

I’ve been to this office 10 times since September. The opthomologist is very good. Staff very sweet. However the optimal person is horrible and rarely does her job. I have actually set in this office waiting for 2 hours. Never go on a Wednesday.

I went to triangle eye care for a routine exam, and got more feedback than expected. I had arrived just at my appointment time so expected to wait a while, but didn’t expect it would take two hours for for a doctor to see me. The Eye exam was routine typical steps, but then doctor started to make recommendations of cosmetic Botox and Latisse. Considering I was there for eye care, I found it very unprofessional he felt the need to explain how I move my eyebrows allot and reoccurring wrinkles may be a problem, and he also explained how my eyelashes were long but «gappy», and Latisse would help with that. He also explained they offer a discounted promotion at the moment through his facility and wanted to let me know.
My first thought: I am a 24-​year-​old young lady, is he serious right now? I did not appreciate Dr. Yaplee’s need to comment on my personal image when information wasn’t requested on these products, and I honestly felt disrespected. I think these comments were outside of his scope and was not any way related to my visit (or subjective issues for that matter). After waiting for two hours to get the eye exam, I was left without words after my visit and didn’t even want to fill my glasses prescription because I was uncomfortable. Based on my visit, I felt the office is money driven and the customer service lacked; I think my business would be appreciated elsewhere. Because of this, I would not recommend this facility.

The most mismanaged office and doctor I have ever had the misfortune of taking my family to. Walking in we would see 20 people waiting ahead of us and we knew we would have a wait of over 3 hours ahead of us. Dr Yapley spends most of his time in delano as overbooks on the few days he is in town. Look for any other eye doctor in town before you head here.
