John Marshall Catering

I have been at many events catered by John Marshall Catering, and every one has been superb. The food is always excellent and we’ll seasoned, and the staff is always pleasant and willing to go out of their way to make every guest happy. From weddings to graduation parties, and even tailgates, the food put out by John Marshall has always been good.
He even catered my own wedding a few years back now in 2010 before I was on Unilocal,and my wife and I couldn’t have been happier. Prime Rib, honey glazed carrots, stuffed chicken, all excellent.
I would definitely recommend (and I do) John Marshall Catering to anyone who is planning any sort of event where food is desired. The company I work for always uses someone else for their catering needs, and the quality is never as good.

What a great company! Everyone is so friendly and the food is fresh and delicious! I’ve been to several weddings that they have catered as well as several parties. They have all been spectacular. The owner does quite a bit of charity work and the co-​owner is a volunteer for the community. All in all a great company full of great people and great food! You can’t go wrong by choosing John Marshall catering!

Went to a wedding reception and the food was provided by this guy. Food was extremely salty and bland, servers were less than excited to be there. I stopped by one day to this location and it’s absolutely disgusting. Looks like Sanford and Sons dumped all there trash on his property. By the way I peaked my head in his kitchen area and his stove and hood didn’t look like it was cleaned for years. Place is a mess including his office and surrounding areas.

John Marshall catered my daughter’s wedding. Wow! What do you want? Great tasting food? Beautiful presentation? Amazing service? Reasonable price? Farm fresh vegetables? Fresh seafood? Homemade breads? Fun personable chef? Make your pasta dish prepared at an on site station? Crisp salad? Meticulous timing of food service with quiet non-​interfering clean up. And the asparagus! Well, you get all of this from John Marshall Catering. A beautiful bride and handsome groom with a perfect outdoor wedding on what one Pittsburgh weatherman called it a splendid Pittsburgh day, John Marshall added perfection.

While this review is going to be a departure from my ‘normal’ fare, I felt that they needed an honorable mention. Before I start this review I do want to quote a long time UnilocalER Carrie W. with telling me some thing inspirational «people eat with their eyes so always provide tons of pics» unfortunately I was not able to provide any THIS time. However there will be several in the near future. John Marshall Catering (JMC) has been managing the café at my job for some time now and I think it’s time that the Unilocal community know just how good their fare is. The serve a breakfast that runs the gamut from eggs (any style) to pancakes. Several different meats (bacon, sausage, etc.) and the gentleman that does the food prep goes out of his way to accommodate every request. They serve multiple styles of beverages from milk to juice and believe it or not, supplements. There are things like oatmeal, muffins, croissants yes croissants (damn the French) and again the cook will make it panini to open face. You tell him he makes it! They are also very economically priced. Their breakfast sandwich w/​a side of hash browns will only set you back $ 3.75. A good price for a filling sandwich. In addition to breakfast they have an assorted lunch offering as well. Now you are wondering why am I reviewing JMC since they are not a resturant per say, because they do CATERING and if you are looking for someone to host your next soirée this might/​could be the joint for you. If you have a chance to try some of their vittles I suggest you taste it and then you decide. I can assure you you won’t be disappointed. For a unique departure on office food or off site catering John Marshall could be the place for you!
