Taqueria Los Amigos

Just stopped in on our way to Palm Springs because we were starving and the line at in-​n-​out was out of control. We had their carne Asada burrito and it was delish! Meat was tender, beans were creamy and green salsa was tasty. Will definitely come back.

I give them a try on a Saturday since people around me talked about their menudo, saying that was wonderful…
So i went in the morning and request 3 large menudos, with no hominy (i asked for the hominy at the side) as well for a piece of beef feet (pata).
I quite don’t understand why they charge 1 more dollar for it so means that if i ordered with the regular order it will be a different price?
Means if the LG menudo is 7 dollars, the menudo with pata will be 8 bucks?
BTW the beef feet was cooked separate so means that they don’t let it boiled with the all soup that gives it a plain flavor
Anyhow… I paid 22.20 for 3 LG menudos, that includes as usual onions, limes, chili & oregano, btw their tortillas are handmade, but they just gave me 5 tortillas for 3 LG menudos, not even 2 per order… I wasn’t expecting 25 tortillas but at least 2 – 3 per order, c’mmon is menudo! 1 star minus
The taste is good but the meat was (for my personal opinion) a little bit small, and the amount of meat that i get for the tree orders doesn’t justify the price of it, I Took a pan for them to give it to me and don’t carry the foam containers, but seems that the amount of meat that you get is count by hand or weight, another star minus.
The flavor was not outstanding, is average menudo flavor-​taste, the thing that i can say about it, is that taste well cleaned & cooked properly 1 start add
The location adds another star since is close to home.
As final coment, for the price, taste, amount of food I will not buying it again that minus another star…
I mean, we are in a latino neighborhood we have menudo in almost every corner, more flavory, bigger portions probably same price
So… Not again sorry…

This place was mentioned by my nephew who always comes here with hia friends. Plus it had high ratings on Unilocal.So decided to try los amigos with my husband. Ordered carne asada burrito with onions, cilantro, beans & rice, my husband ordered the wet burrito with carne asada & nachos. All I gotta say is eww not sure what meat I had but it wasn’t asada. Totally disappointed beans are canned and the red & green chilli had no flavor. And to top it all off my husband bit into bone in his carne asada burrito. I wanted to post a picture but my husband wouldn’t let me. Out of the six soda on tap only 4 worked. Two items that we tried to order they didn’t have it. Overall I am sure I won’t return to this place. Not sure why its still opened.

Really good carne asada… I havent had anything else but its really good. Today trying some papas tacos… well see. but the service is good, the lady is nice and good lookin, i do recomend this spot to anyone lookin for good mexicana food

I always Go Here and they have the BEST MEXICAN FOOD AND ON TOP OF THAT Low Prices, Excellent service, Very Welcoming, I Would highly Recommend it to you All! :)

The chef is an older woman and she’s amazing! Asada tacos are delicious

Not too sure why so many people like this place but to me it isn’t so good! Food is mediocre at best! Tacos, menudo, chilaquiles… all the same! Try somewhere else instead!

I have only been here once, but I loved the carne asda tacos. They just melted in my mouth. Need to go back soon.
