Love this spot! Great quality food for the price and wonderful service. Very famioy friendly. The décor is quite upscale for a buffet and the price is very fair. This is our go to spot when we are hungry!

The best soul food tasting Chinese buffet I ever experienced! This place has a WIDE variety of dishes and sushi. A lot of the dishes that I’m use to eating in southern cuisine taste identical if, not better, like the cabbage, ham, fried soft shell crab, fried fish and fried plantains. Unseeingly from the outside, this place is very large. They were hosting multiple private parties, as I was part of one, and there was still ample enough seating for general dining. Our servers were great and efficient. The buffet is always clean, neat, and replenished. The price for both lunch and dinner are under $ 20 w/drink included. The only con is the bathrooms. A bit messy. Maybe if they had someone assigned to solely do the bathroom that make have a huge impact. Other than that it’s perfect!

Flaming Grill in Baldwin NY is one of the better Chinese food buffets in Nassau County. I have been to most of them, and this is the only one that i will eat in each week. The food quality is good, and flavorful, with a variety of spices and seasonings used, and there are like 150 items that are available including many seafood items that are real seafood„ including shrimp prepared several ways. They have a pretty decent hibachi grill and the chefs are always pleasant. Desserts are mediocre, as they are in most chinese restaurants. The servers 99.9% of the time are courteous and attentive although they are only serving beverages, not full service but its a buffet right. The place is massive, having a very large main dining area, two somewhat smaller dining sections and also a big party room available toward the rear of the place. The bathrooms are well kept for such a high traffic place. The place is immaculate. And the price is quite reasonable after all. The management and the front people are treat you in a professional manner. I have been going there ever since the first day they opened, and i highly recommend it, as a «good buffet restaurant».

I really really liked it here! not quite 5 stars, but a good solid 4. Better than most buffets, good tasty sushi selections, fresh salad bar items. I’d return, it seems to have plenty to make everyone happy. A nice surprise is the hibachi section as well as the buffet. That’s where you pick your own raw ingredients and they grill it up to order. The place is huge, plenty if seating and even have party rooms. I was there with my bowling league for awards night and we had such fun! This is definitely a place I’d return with my family.

The food here is so so. It’s a very busy place so be ready for the rush. Oh they will take away for fork if you go back to the buffet more then 2x lol.

The food was awful. The only thing edible was the marshmallows in the chocolate fountain!

A co-worker and I were hungry so she suggested going to Flaming Grill Buffet for there to go platter. It’s a mix of Chinese and American food, two of my favorites combinations! So we went to Baldwin and I knew the area, I lived around there for about a year. But this place was new, maybe just a year under its belt. Its nice to see them building up the area. When we walked in my co-worker asked for her meal to go and they gave her a container for her food, I did the same. The prices were great also and they let you make your own plate, another plus. I noticed the staff was always replenishing the trays and they worked fast. They looked like they know what they are doing. Also they cook some of the food in plain sight. I went in for the coconut shrimp and the chicken. I was a pig and sampled some of the food, I was impressed. After getting back to work I sat down and began to work(on my plate that is). It was one of the best buffets I’ve tasted in awhile.

Great place! Price is cheap and the food is pretty good for a buffet. This is my go to buffet even though it is far but there is always parking. They even have a good hibachi bar. Just pick the stuck you want(uncooked), give it to them and they cook it in front of you. The people at the front desk are nice. The only reason I took a star away is because of 2 of the servers(2 ladies). My friends and I(party of 3) were there for about 30 minutes into eating. We had 2 plates and we’re pretty much just talking and catching up(still working on our food) when one of the women dropped the fortune cookies. We looked at it but weren’t finished so we pushed it over towards the edge of the table to give her the hint. We all got up and got ice cream, not another plate of food or anything, just an ice cream to finish off the dinner(I know people get far more than ¾ plates so I thought 2 and an ice cream would be ok. One of my friends spoke Chinese and overheard one of the waitresses say«they’re still here and they got more food. When are they going to leave? They’re just sitting there» We were so confused as to why they said that when there were SOMANYSEATSEVERYWHERE. Not gonna let those 2 women ruin it for everyone else though. I’ve had really nice servers there! Many of them are attentive and nice. Some you won’t even notice they’re there. Just not those 2! This place is definitely worth going to. Plus they refill the food very fast!

This place is literally a buffet on steroids! I’ve never seen anything like it. They have everything from crabs, to sushi, hibatchi, salad, american food, shrimp, fish, chicken, kimchi, desserts and sooo much more. It’s honestly a sensory overload. And sadly I’m one of those people, who when presented with too many options, finds it difficult to choose what to eat. The food, while plentisome, was average buffet food. I was a little disappointed in the taste of some of the items. A lot of the offerings were greasy and only mildly tasty. The dessert also offered very few options such as cake(that looked dry) and some stale cookies. I ended up dipping some marshmellows into the chocolate fountain to suffice.

The quality of the food satisfied the hunger pangs without over doing it. Albeit we only tried the veggie dishes, there are enough variety to satisfy any wandering taste buds. Food gets turnover quickly from what I have seen. Same with the service which was attentive and mindful. Overall we will come back and attack some other sections which we failed to reach on this trip.

Been here a couple of times — a guilty pleasure. good service, variety and options nice hibachi setup Like Kimchi Sushi options Hibachi options and service Some of the hot items Good ambient décor I am not sure I would want to know how their food is sourced… but this is very solid value for the famished.

I workout next door all the time and never thought of ever eating here. I had a friend who didn’t have anything to do for his birthday so I decided to treat him to some good old Chinese Buffet. I was impressed with the price and the variety. I’ve been to some buffet spots in Nassau that was similar in pricing but no where as close to what this place has to offer. The price is much more better than any buffet spots in Queens. You will not find the price and balance ratio anywhere else than here. The only draw back is that it is far from my house so the trip there can be annoying. The facility is very clean and the staff is decently friendly.

We’ve been here before, and the food was mostly decent, but this time there were issues that were inexcusable. The biggest issue is that they advertise sushi, and when we got there just slightly after opening(11:00AM), there was NOSUSHI ready.(I would understand if they were just putting the food out when they opened, but about half of the regular food still hadn’t been put out yet as well.) 35 minutes later, there were a couple of the low-end rolls, but still 80% of the sushi was missing. Finally I asked, and was told they were still making it. I was told we should ask for what we want, but sadly we STILL didn’t get it. An hour after sitting down for lunch, they finally had some of the sushi out. They only had ONE guy making all the sushi for the restaurant — and clearly it wasn’t enough and should have been started earlier. For them to just start making the sushi when they open is ridiculous. We were already having dessert when they finally put out the regular sushi. This was inexcusable for ANY restaurant — no matter how low end. To make things even worse, the hot green tea(that we paid for) wasn’t yet ready when we sat down for lunch. However, when they finally brought it out, it was lukewarm at best. When we asked for a refill of hot tea a short time later, it was lukewarm yet again. We won’t be back — there are so many better places where they actually RESPECT and value their customers.

My new favorite buffet place. I heard about this place thru a friend, who kept raving about it, so I had to come check it out. Definitely two thumbs up. I always look for three things for a good buffet. Quality of food, prices and variety. Flaming Grill meets all three. The food is good, you really can’t beat the prices and they have all different types of food options. There’s a sushi bar as soon as you walk in. Along with some cold Asian option like Kim Chi and tofu. Then there’s Chinese and American stuff AND you can get hibachi. There’s a section of raw food and you pick out what you want and they cook it for you right there. Pretty cool. They have meats, vegetables, noodles and your own Fried rice. There’s a huge chocolate fountain there with marshmallows as wells as cakes, fruit and ice cream. The ice cream is actually a reach in cooler with ice cream cups and ice cream sandwiches! The set up itself is nice too. You pay before you sit. The food is pretty much in the center of the restaurant with the seating surrounding the food area. There were two seperate dining rooms that I think you can use for parties or large groups. Plenty of parking as they are actually in the Baldwin Shopping Center, a strip mall off of Grand Ave

This place has not been open very long, but somehow manages to pack out half the parking lot of a strip mall. Maybe because they send out a ton of coupons every week in the Pennysaver… It looks very nice and new inside. The food and clientele however, is another issue. There is always an extremely rowdy few groups/families, rude/obnoxious, lurking nearby and waiting for certain items(like crab legs) to be refilled, and then piling their plates as high as they can. Yeah, I get it, they’re expensive and this is a buffet. But wow, really? You can get up more than once. Most of the food items here have little taste, even if they’re slathered in sauce. A lot of the seafood entrees look pretty questionable. My daughter tried something from the hibatchi and was not happy. The chocolate fountain looks like a bacterial infection waiting to happen. I will not bother coming back here again.

Good !! Some items are better than others but they certainly have a huge selection! They have everything from fried chicken & Italian dishes to sushi, rolls & Chinese. I was there around 2:00 pm & some items were just warm. I still prefer DJ’s International buffet on Stewart Avenue in Garden City !

Been here twice so far. Went with a group of six. The food was so good and there was so much to choose from I had a tiny bit of everything. The sushi was fresh and there was a good amount of variety not just your normal California roll. Of course they have the typical fried stuff you would normally see in any buffet(fried chicken wings, fries etc.) I was a little skeptical of this place at first and thought I was going to get sick but NOPE! no food poisoning here! The dessert is not impressive at all(at least to me), but then again who comes here for dessert. I will admit I wanted to see a soft serve machine or maybe desserts other than cake but they have a chocolate fountain to dip marshmallows in. They do have cookies and like I mentioned before cake, but it would be nice to see some danishes or cupcakes. The cakes always seem to be a mess from the customers taking piles full… Also, I find that the staff is friendly and helpful but the people here are pushy, rude and just too much. One woman was squirting soy sauce on me because she was in a rush for her sushi and didn’t even bother to apologize. I stared at her and said thanks. Overall, besides pushy people the place is great. Honestly the food is delicious. Give it a try!

Came here on Father’s day and it was a bit of a crazy chaos. I guess this was to be expected given it was father’s day. We waited 45 minutes after paying($ 15.99 per person b/c it was father’s day and there was lobster!) and putting our names on the list. Got seated and was ready to eat. During the 45 minutes, we had surveyed the perimeter of the food area and saw the large selection. There was a teppanyaki station — with proteins such as shrimp, pork slices, steak, imitation crab meat and a big variety of vegetables. Carb offering was a bit strange as it was mei fun and rice. I usually see noodle but it’s fine. You can also add additional chili or garlic before you hand over the plate to the cookers. There was also a sushi station — california rolls and various other rolls(included eel, imitation crab meat, tuna, salmon), salmon sushi and tuna sushi. Not the best, but hits the spot if you want some simple rolls. There were lots of seafood — nice steamed fresh flounder(with bones but soo meaty and flaky), crab legs, delicious stir fried lobster(super slow and gone in seconds), fried crab legs, clams, etc. I didn’t actually get to try the other hot food since I was focused on seafood but there were 2 full stations of hot foods. Also a nice station of salads and another for fruits including long yen, melons, kiwi, and fresh pineapple. Dessert included rainbow cakes(my fave) and cookies, cheese cakes, and more. The ice cream were Hershey’s and had chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and sugarfree butter pecan. There were also ice cream sandwiches, orange popsicle, and chocolate covered vanilla ice cream pop. It was a huge buffet selection and over all very good, but b/c it was a holiday, it was overcrowded, too hot(i was sweating during most of the meal b/c it was so crowded and were in the main dining room. The party room and the side room were a LOT cooler. Will definitely go back again but just not during a special day.

Though the location is far and in the middle of Baldwin or no where… Surprisingly I’m happy with this place! Just like the casino … You must pay first & then eat. $ 10.99 only… What??? Sodas and hot tea are separate charge. There were many rows of food selections, and a lot of seafood. The food was good and satisfying… Mussels, shrimps, fish. there is even a hibachi station all the way in the back. At the front of the buffet is the sushi section and dessert section. The rolls are ok, and the ice cream are all individually packaged. There is even a chocolate fountain. The middle of the buffet features more Americanized foods. Fried stuff… Etc. I merely glanced at them. This is definitely worth it, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back here at all!
