Warm and friendly, excellent service. Atmosphere diner-like, but booth seats very comfy. Stuffed rigatoni ok, sliced pork roast with stuffing and squash good. Warm bread and garlic butter tasty. Salad dressed well. Rated 4 as very average food nothing special and lack of ambiance.

It is difficult to consistently deliver excellence. It fell short in our first visit. The soup was good but it was cold. My lasagna was ok but just warm. My wife ordered the stuffed shells. The sever brought the wrong order. Waited way too long to correct this mistake only to have it arrive only warm. My wife watched me eat my dinner as she waited and waited for hers It is a large restaurant with mostly large parties of four or more Mistakes happen and our patience and understanding was generous . All around us people were enjoying their evening . We did not. It was just not our night. I was pleased that an apology came after my initial review. The above has been edited

We were there last Sunday my wife and sister in law ordered the special. roast pork, mash potatoes, dressing, and squash. The mash potatoes were cold, sent them back, pork was very fatty and tasteless. waitress was very tentive. the seafood plater was very good. Seems like if it was a special it would be special… sorry probably won’t be back.

Calamari is the best I’ve had. Everything else I’ve had has been so-so. I’ve eaten here a couple of times but nothing besides the calamari blew me away. The stuffed shells were nothing special and the filet steak was good but not great. Some of it seemed premade(alfredo sauce). My boyfriend likes the clams quite a bit. I don’t know. Just eh for me. I think next time I go I will just order 2 of the calamari and call it a day. I don’t feel most of the food is worth the price.

The only good thing was the wine prices and the garlic butter, homemade Italian salad dressing was delicious. The calamari was chewy, the garlic sauce was disgusting. We also had to Wait 15+ minutes before we could be seated, when there were a ton of open seats. I had the chicken Parmesan and it was bland, dry and did not taste good. My pasta with vodka sauce was good. An 11 year old thought her Alfredo was awesome, the 41 year old thought it was not good. I will not be going back.

Food was really good, portions were large, and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. We had a big family dinner there to celebrate a birthday and a graduation. 11 people. The food was served quickly, drinks kept full, service was great.

Went for lunch. Food was good for the most part, they did have some decent specials, staff was friendly and attentive, however I felt like our waitress perhaps had too many tables as I would liked to have seen her more. There were a couple times our glasses remained empty during the meal. Will be back, would love to try the crab legs on Monday.

Good service, and clean place to eat. I had chicken parmesian, and tasted very good. The surprised me even though I had it for lunch.

A hidden gem. Wonderful Italian and American food, nice place for a family dinner. Typically they have some great specials too, I went one time for all you can eat crab legs and they were great, the servers really hustle to keep you going

If you want to dine in and have a good experience do not sit in the lounge they treat you like they are trying to get u out of there as quickly as possible. I felt strange, not welcomed. The bread and butter they bring is good, but it tastes exactly as the one from the Clam Bar restaurant. Who copied who? The calamari is well fried but nothing special, no seasoning at all. The main course came. We asked for the Italian combo. It was once again nothing special. The food was also cold.

Getting crabs is a good thing when you go to Tassone’s… Monday evenings is Tassone’s all you can eat crab legs night. Hands down, it is the best deal around [the greater syracuse area]. Moreover, since it is good quality crab, at a reasonable price, expect Tassone’s to be filled to capacity. It is strongly recommended to call ahead for a reservation, else you will only be smelling succulent crab from afar. Again, since crab night is a popular night, expect to be rubbing claws with the table next to you. The wait staff do their best to cater to the crab claw wielding masses. However, it is a daunting task and you can feel the wait staff’s frustration. Tassone’s décor resembles that of a generic diner or steak house, a little gaudy, and definitely out of date. The crab legs are piled high, freshly cooked and very tasty. A side is also offered with the order of crab. I ordered stewed potatoes; they were okay. For crab legs in the greater Syracuse area you will not find a better value than Tassone’s; just try to ignore the crab claw wielding mob.

The service is terrific totally great. The ambiance of the place… is only ok. It’s dated and not as fancy as the prices of the food reflect. The food is good… not great… and are on the expensive end. Their wine selection is spot on.

I ate at Tassone’s on 8÷15÷14. Tassone’s is a hard review for me to write. It feels like it should be a 2.5 star review. The portion size was generous. The menu had ample choices. The ambiance of the restaurant although in what looks like a transition was nice. The service was fair. It felt like our waitress had an number of tables to service and couldn’t over extend herself on ours or any one table. The food was just okay. I had a baked ziti but tasted nothing but cheese. In conclusion if you don’t have anything else to choose from Tassone’s is fine but as far as Italian food goes I would have preferred Olive Garden over Tassone’s.

A solid but not exceptional Italian restaurant. I went here while visiting family in the area. It’s a large venue and I’m sure they do a fair amount of banquets and events. The service was friendly but only fair in terms of speed and attentiveness. The actual food was okay. Probably in the olive garden range of quality, meaning that it was perfectly fine but not noteworthy. They did make up for quality with fairly large portions on most dishes. But it did feel a bit overpriced for what we got, probably 10−20% too much. Overall all not bad but probably not high on my list for a repeat visit.

The people here are so friendly and happy. I love going into a place where they want your business! The food is pretty good too, love their white sauce with pasta, wings are awesome! Also I had to change my reservation time twice and they were super sweet about it, had it all set up for us!

My husband and I went to Tassone’s for our first wedding anniversary. We live in the area and wanted to try something new and had heard a lot of good things about it. We have mixed reviews: THEGOOD: the staff was very friendly and service was great. We had the fried calamari and hands down, it was some of the best I’ve had. The lemon garlic and cocktail dipping sauces were amazing and the calamari was crispy, fresh, and not over-salted. The garlic bread and salads were great. Once our entrees arrived, we were ready for an awesome meal… not! THEBAD: We were disappointed with the décor and ambiance — out dated and old. We are in our late 20’s and all of the other patrons could be our parents or grandparents. The entrees were just not good. My husband got a chicken dish with crab and veggies. The chicken was dry and the«crab» was imitation crabmeat. GROSS! I got the Chef’s Special — shrimp, scallops, and crab in marinara sauce over pasta(I subbed the pasta for rice). The marinara sauce was greasy and tasted like ketchup. I’m African American and my Italian food is much better! The shrimp and scallops were great, but here we go again with the imitation crab-meat. I’m sorry, but for $ 19.99 per entrée, you expect real crab. Overall, we had a lovely anniversary, but we haven’t decided if we would return to Tassone’s. I might have to, just for that calamari!

Been here a few times for dinner and lunch. I can’t understand the concept, the front has a late night pub feel. Big bar, with tables surrounding and quick draw. Then you continue walking and there is a formal dining room. The two concepts just don’t mix well together especially when you are dining late at night. The place needs to be updated the inside is just kind of blah. The food is just OK. I’ve had the chicken parm, paninis for lunch, shrimp cocktail, calamari, and broccoli over cavatelli. Nothing special, but nothing bad, just average at best.

Came here to have dinner before going to the Alabama Shakes concert. Loved it and we’ll be back! Portions are extremely generous — my fiancé had the haddock sandwich and the fish was twice the size of the bread!(it was fun watching him try to eat it!) The fries were good too, crispy on the outside and not greasy. I had the haddock eggplant parm, which was also delicious and HUGE and came with a salad and bowl of spaghetti(you get a choice of pasta). We both took home leftovers. So for a total price of less than $ 25 we got two giant meals and left feeling very happy about it. They also have amazing bread and garlic butter and snacks at the bar. The Olympics were on the TVs and we had a good time eating and watching the Olympics. We’d definitely go back if we’re in Baldwinsville again.

A heavy-portioned staple of Baldwinsville, NY. If you live in the area you have undoubtedly been here multiple times for family occasions and holiday celebrations with estranged aunts. If you are hungry and just driving through it is worth the stop. Like many places, avoid on weekend nights if you want to eat within the hour. They offer a classic Italian fare and do justice to most of what they cook. Their lasagna and alfredo sauce are praised by everyone I have seen eat them. Everything is quite heavy, however, so it might be hard to find a low-calorie option besides a salad. Most portions are big enough to split. Couple that with the decent atmosphere and this place becomes a decent date night. A solid 3 stars.
