Big Kahuna Cantina

This place is completely horrible. The food is terrible. I ended up barely eating because it was so bad. I had to send my drink back 2 times because it tasted like a pound of sugar mixed with water. Service was dismal. Good location. Thank God they finally closed this dump!

Business model is being a tourist trap at the Inner Harbor. It was okay but haven’t been back. The tableside guacamole preparation was intriguing but a bit pricy.

I hate giving bad reviews but this place truly deserves it.
So when this place first opened up, I was very excited about 1) their location 2) that there was another chance for a good Mexican restaurant in Baltimore, and 3) their nacho bar. The nacho bar was a cool concept and actually pretty good (and enormous portions — too much, actually) but they did away with it after a couple of months, which was a disappointment.
After going there once or twice, it started going downhill very very quickly.
Once, with a large group of out of town friends, we went there and in my rice was some plastic piece of a bottle top. It was disgusting, like it just fell into the rice while they were cooking and no one noticed. I quietly gave my plate back to the waitress but didn’t want to make that big of a fuss with so many people enjoying their night out.
I gave them one last chance a couple of months later when family was in town and they wanted to eat in the Inner Harbor. Mexican was something everyone could agree on so we went back.
This time, I had the tune steak sandwich. I felt fine for a while after eating it, but while walking back to our car, I began to notice that I broke out into hives all over. I never had a reaction to tuna before, ever, and haven’t had one since, so my only conclusion was that somehow this piece of fish was bad.
After this experience, I will never ever go back to this place. It’s dirty — everything from the food to the bathrooms, and the service is nothing to praise either.
Hopefully, another restaurant will take over their spot one day soon that has higher standards.

Great location, but horrible mexican food. Baltimore is not know for its mexican food, but this really is at the bottom. Food is bland and really not comparable to other chains.
Good drink selection and outdoor seating. This would be nice in the spring for HH.
I would hit up others in the area.

This place is a Mexican style restaurant. But the food is fairly bland and not very exciting.
They do have a great selection of Tequila.
