Service was outstanding. They were attentive and when it was taking a long time they out an item on the house. Food was outstanding.

Ordered the family combo(feeds 4 – 5), wasn’t exactly enough for a family; was only able to fill up 2 adults(my brother and I)…if anything I would consider it more like a lovers boat(meant for 2). The sushi/sashimi is definitely fresh, and well made.

If you’re in the mood for some good fresh sushi, this place will not let you down. Nice intimate setting, great for lunch/dinner dates. Must try.

I sadly think that Whole Food’s sushi better. I walk by this place everyday. And… I’ll still go somewhere else for sushi.

Delicious! We had the dinner combination, which was an excellent selection of fresh Sashimi and entrée for a really good value! Would definitely come again ;)

First of all, I’ve never had a bad meal in harbor east so I had high expectations. I really liked the hot towels before and after the meal. The rainbow roll I got had very fresh fish and was really tasty. It didn’t have that super fishy taste or smell. The miso soup and side ginger salad were good, but a bit small. I think next time I will get more sushi or perhaps try their dumplings. My sister got the soup with seafood since she already had eaten and the waitress was nice and asked if she should bring the soup with my meal. I thought it was thoughtful of her to ask because we all know watching someone else eat when you have nothing can be weird. Overall, I would say this was a good sushi experience and I will be back to try more!

The sushi here is very good and fresh. I think the quality of the fish here is much better than most places in Baltimore. It is a bit pricey considering RA’s happy hour prices just a couple blocks away however. But this is a great place of you want something less fusion-y and more traditional.

I don’t give five stars easily and I have to say this place deserves every one of them. We were greeted with friendly smiles and welcomes. Seated to hot towels and menus with a plethora of rolls(raw and cooked) to select from. Service was great and the sushi was fantastic. Rolls were fat and nigiri was sliced thick. You get your money’s worth for sure. There were two(very) minor negatives. The first is that the sushi chefs don’t speak much and don’t seem to have much personality. The second is that I was charged $ 1.95 for my green tea and I’ve not been in many places where they would charge you for green tea. After we were finished we were given fresh hot towels to clean up with and some Japanese bubblegum along with the check. All in all I wish this place was closer to home. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Baltimore. k

We came here for Happy Hour and it was absolutely delicious! The food prices were great for happy hour, and accordingly sized. We got the shrimp tempura and the shrimp egg rolls. Then, we had a sushi roll with spicy tuna, spicy mayo, and tempura flakes. It was amazing, except the shrimp tempura could have been crispier. Service was great! You get warm hand towels before and after your meal, which was something different!

They were nice enough to let me use their bathroom when Whole Foods had bathroom issues. I’ve eaten sushi there before and remember it being an overall good experience. I think lunch deals are where it’s at. Noticed they started to serve ramen! Need to try it… that tonkotsu broth looks promising…

Went to Sushi Q for the first time today. I only ordered sushi for takeout, so I cannot comment on completely everything. I really liked the feel of the restaurant; it was inviting and the lighting was nice. It’s not a big restaurant but the tables have enough room. They also seemed to seat people in different areas so as to give more space. I ordered my sushi for pickup in the restaurant and sat down to wait for it. The rolls were ready in about 2 minutes, very quick! The sushi was delicious. I got a California roll and a salmon avocado roll. The salmon had a ton of flavor and was very tender; the avocado was perfectly ripe. They also gave me soy sauce and one other sauce with my sushi; the other sauce was amazing, not exactly sure what it was though. The prices were very reasonable! Each roll came with 6 small pieces. I will definitely return for a full meal at sit-down!

When it comes to sushi in the area I recommend: Chui’s for Lunch Ra for Happy Hour(las vegas rolls) Asahi for Dinner Azumi for an empty wallet and Sticky Rice for ‘Explosive’ food poisoning Chui’s is nice and quiet, the service is often a bit slow but the lunch portions/combos are very generous. If you have the time it’s certainly better than the the sushi at Whole Foods but It’s not really worth a trip in from the county or even across town If you’re already in the area though, it’s an OK option.

I used to come here regularly every Friday night with my girlfriend(though haven’t gotten the chance to in about a year). The service was always great, and we came here often enough that the servers recognized us and knew what we wanted, since we almost always ordered the same thing. What did we order? We usually got the Sashimi Deluxe(which comes with miso soup and a house salad), an additional miso soup, and sometimes a sushi roll if we were particularly hungry. For dessert, we always got the Tempura Ice Cream. The Sashimi Deluxe had yellowtail, tuna, and salmon(my favorite!) and was always very fresh and tasty, and I can’t complain about the size of the pieces either. We’ve tried a few types of rolls: Triple Delight, Dynamite, Ya, Picasso, and perhaps a few others. Our favorite was the Triple Delight. The Tempure Ice Cream consists of vanilla ice cream surrounded by a thin, crispy layer of tempura. The portion is pretty large and it’s delicious! Food is great, service is great! It can be a bit pricey though.

Sometimes for lunch I want to grab something quick when I’m at work. Sushi is the perfect quick lunchtime meal and I heard Chiu’s Sushi had some good rolls so I headed over. When I sat down, I knew I wanted something to warm me up but I wasn’t in the mood for soup so I decided to order the Vegetable Egg Rolls. These were obviously warm, which was perfect on the cold day. They were filled with shredded veggies and came with a sauce for dipping. The sauce was good, but I wish it had a little bit of a kick. I also ordered some sushi. I went with my classic go-to, a Spicy Tuna Roll. The roll was filling, but it wasn’t nearly as fresh as the sushi at RA Sushi around the corner. The sushi wasn’t bad by any means, and for the price it’s definitely worth it! If you’re looking for a quick lunchtime bite in Harbor East, Chiu’s Sushi is worth a visit!

My girlfriend had never been to Harbor East before and wanted to try out some restaurants. We both love sushi and the menu seemed pretty extensive, so what could go wrong. We sat down and were given ok service, the four or so women working chatted in Chinese a few tables from us until we looked towards their direction. Once we received the food, it was adequate. Nothing exciting, to be honest the casing was a bit think and the roll could have been tied tighter. I’m not too sure I would go again.

The service was good and the happy hour deals were appealing, but it’s pricey in my opinion, which is why I stuck with the happy hour menu. The sushi was okay, but nothing special. For the rolls we ordered, although fairly basic, I would have thought would be easy, but they lacked in flavor. The California roll and the Philadelphia were cut extremely thick as well which made it hard to eat.

Food — Got the wasabi shui mui. Has the right amount of wasabi n meat. Service — Cannot get better than thism. greeted by a cheerful hostess with a hot napkin. Very patient with the order. Good suggestions based on your taste preferences. Wraps up the dinner with a refreshing hot napkin. Hats off to the japneese hospitality. Cost -~$ 20 per pax

A good place to go for work lunch. I go to this restaurant with my coworkers and get their lunch specials. You can get sushi rolls/teriyaki salmon/chicken in a bento box for about $ 10. I have tried dinner and thought it was a bit overpriced for what you get.
