I was very impressed with Lobo. The french onion dip is so delicious, I highly recommend starting you meal with that. They make their own ginger beer, so when I order a mule, it was a little different tasting than what I am used to, not bad, just not as bold flavored. I also recommend the chicken and corn chowder. It was delicious and came with a piece of fresh bread. I could eat that everyday! The atmosphere is great as well!

Just ate at Lobo for the first time, and I can tell it’s going to be my new favorite spot in the neighborhood. Everyone working there was super friendly and attentive, without hovering or being over-eager. The space is cool and laid-back and has an all-around good vibe. We got onion dip to start because it was one happy hour(which isn’t restricted just to the bar — a major pet peeve of mine) and it was great. I had a great sandwich(Asian pork — yum!) and some really good cookies for dessert. All in all, a very pleasant, easy, and enjoyable dinner!

This place is a hidden gem in Fells Point. A fantastic selection of cocktails, wine and bubbly beverages. Also a scrumptious array of appetizers and light dinner selections. The service is outstanding. If you haven’t tried it, you are missing out on an exceptional local venue.

The seafood there is really cheap, compared to the ones on Thames Street, and fresh… it was all great, until the next day when both my dad and I had food poisoning. To be fair, it may be our fault since we ate too much(we ordered a seafood tower with lots of extra stuff) I’ll give it another try next time, and if I’m fine next time, I’ll pop up the rating to 5 stars.

Lobo is one of the best places in Fells Point to get a cocktail! The bartenders who know their stuff and the food never disappoints. I have tried more than half of their menu and everything has hit the mark. If you haven’t visited Lobo you are missing out!

At 7pm on a Monday night it was an hour and fifteen minute wait to get into Thames St Oyster House. Found this place on Unilocal. An unpretentious friendly spot with a yummy raw bar and delicious fare. Great service, really nice people and away from the tourist trap of the Fells Point waterfront! The charcuterie plate was brilliant!(Plus we left our credit card and they immediately calked us and that’s some great service)

Casual spot for seafood and charcuteries. It has a nice neighborhood bar feel to it. We caught the tail end of happy hour consisting of –Spanish cava: very good glass of bubbly for $ 5 –oysters and clams: they were definitely better qualities than a lot of oysters you will find at bars at Fells point for similar price –Chef’s snack plate: our favorite, it is a small charcuterie board(meat, cheese, and pickles) and really good quality again For dinner, we tried half lobster tails and mac and cheese and I liked both of them. Great service as well!

My boyfriend and I wandered into Lobo’s on a Saturday around 5 just looking for a drink and possibly a bite to eat before getting our night started. We were so pleasantly surprised that we ended up staying for almost three hours and went through a chefs board, paninis, dessert, and three drinks each! The chefs board was wonderful, it was a mixture of three cheeses, three meats, jam, mustard, and an array of pickled vegetables. The paninis were delicious, although I do wish they would expand their menu. The bread pudding that we had for dessert was phenomenal! This will be a favorite spot of ours :)

A cute little place. I kinda liked that it’s a couple blocks away from the packed Thames street restaurants if you want a little bit of a quieter dinner My roommate and I got the oyster flight to split and I got the curry chicken sandwich. The oysters were delicious, and the waiter was kind enough to explain to us how to eat them properly, haha. I was also impressed by the selection of unique sandwiches.

First off let me say… the service here is AWESOME!!! :) Pleasant and welcoming waitstaff is always a plus for me:) First time here and it definitely won’t be the last! Me and a few co-workers decided to venture here for Happy Hour after work! Again, great service and with a very homey neighborhood bar feel. I had the mussels, chef snack plate, onion dip, and cheese bread(forgot the name of that one lol). To order only apps and to be somewhat full I applaud this bar! Happy hour is definitely a must here! You get $ 2 clams(my friend said they were delish), $ 5 wines, and some other small plates. Next time your near Fells Point give this place a try!

Meet a couple coworkers for happy hour and fell in love with this place. The bartender was so knowledgable on to mix as far as drinks. The establishment was very classy yet divvy at the same time. The happy hour specials were reasonable and the food was delicious. I am upset with myself for not taking any pictures, next time.

Great little place for an enjoyable date night! There’s a decent sized bar to sit at, as well as tables. The kitchen is located in the back of the restaurant’s dining area, so you can see the chefs work their magic. There is also seating around that area if you want a front row view. My girlfriend and I were seated at table in the back so we we were able to see the kitchen, which I thought was cool and enjoyed. We started with cocktails that were made very well. We had an order of oysters and a panini. Both were good, the panini was served on a neat wooden platter. Great spot for a date; intimate lighting, not too formal, and great atmosphere.

Great neighborhood spot to hang out and have a nice drink or some raw bar food. The menu is very small as it includes raw bar items, charcuterie, soups and sandwiches. We were here with another couple on a Monday and it had a nice little crowd. I thought the service was excellent. Everyone was knowledgeable about the menu and our servers were also very friendly. We had the Tuna tartar which was really tasty and a charcuterie board that also had a nice selection and we all enjoyed. We also tried some of their soups which we really enjoyed. Everything is served with their fresh baguettes which we enjoyed but by the end of the meal felt like all we ate was bread. The curry coconut mussels are amazing and if you like mussels are a must try. A sleeper on the menu is the hot apple cider. It was delicious and perfect on a cold night. My only complaint is that there isn’t more of a selection on this menu but everything was very tasty and we will definitely be back for an appetizer and a drink.

Really 3.5stars. They don’t take reservations but when we called, the hostess graciously held a table for us while we walked over. The place was crowded and had a nice ambiance. According to my husband, the draft beer list was just ok. The cocktail list is pretty extensive — the warm cider and honey boona(don’t remember exact name) were ok. For food we got the cheeseburger tartare which tasted like the cheeseball(which we also got) and both were mediocre. The mussels were quite good and the charcuterie plate had some good meat but came with nothing. No accoutrements or bread — perhaps because our cheeseburger tartare had crostini, they didn’t add more to the charcuterie. We also got the asian pork sandwich which may have been the best thing of the night, the club which was ENORMOUS and the beet salad which was pretty standard. The banana bread pudding came piping hot and fresh and was delicious but ONLY if you ate it with the salted caramel icecream. On its own, it lacked flavor. The service was good — seems as if they were understaffed as our server was constantly hustling around. Despite this, he paid attention to us and we got refills pretty fast. Not sure what we missed at Lobo since everyone else seems to LOVE it but perhaps our expectations were set too high going in.

Lobo has some charm. the place has a very welcoming vibe and tons of seating. It’s right on the outskirts of Fells on Aliceanna Street; I think I have passed it repeatedly. I do suggest going for happy hour, as it seems the specials are great. We had a really nice time, but I think everything we ordered would have been on happy hour. The kitchen is completely exposed and really quite tiny — I am not sure how they are doing such upscale bar food in such a small little spot. I think the exposed brick and warm wood bar makes for a really inviting spot. I started with a Willamette Valley Pinot Gris, but they have a nice selection of whites. I eventually switched to the Vinho Verde — a little cheaper and still really cheerful. Chef sent out a little appetizer: cute little crostini with an herb purée, which held us over as we worked through the menu. After perusing the menu, we started with the Chef’s board, a mix of cheeses and cured meets, plus some dips and house made pickled items. It was an easy choice when the group couldn’t decide between the charcuterie, cheese and pickled plates. My only complaint was that there wasn’t nearly enough bread for that much meat and those huge chunks of cheese. Am I the only one who likes bread and or crackers with her cheese??? Next, we went for the oyster raw bar: Malpeques, Warshores, and Choptanks. They serve them on ice with lemon and tons of sauces, no need to choose: cocktail sauce, fresh grated horseradish and three mignonettes: champagne and melon, red wine, and ginger and rice wine. I couldn’t decide. I kept trying them all.

Cross this also off the to eat list. So i wanted to go to a new place for H/H and decided on this spot, they dont have the offerings on their menu online. Nothing caught my attention unless you are into oysters and cheese plates and such. The sangria that i ordered off the H/H wasnt good, i returned that quick. So i switched to the regular and ordered a sandwich the pork loin sandwich to be exact. Decent sandwich,(bread was good) quite good, the side pasta salad was decent as well. I ordered a Mai thai, looking at the alcohol that was supposed to be in it, this was also a disappointment. No buzz whats so ever. So for H/H it was a dud, service was friendly, sandwich was good, hey its a sandwich, pasta salad was good. Will i trek to the other side of town probably not, if i happen to be in the area and i was walking by and they were open, sure i will go in. since i like places that are off the more touristy spots.

Got the Asian banh mi sandwich. The carrots weren’t pickled enough. The radish wasn’t picked enough. The sauce they used was like the spicy mayo put on top of spicy sushi. They call it a banh mi sandwich but it’s not.

Alright so I have been here twice now and I have now formed my opinion. This place is glorious! We have had fantastic service and food each time. Both times we came in around 7ish during the week and there was a small crowd, so we sat at the bar each time. The bar tender is super nice and knows the menu well. The beer taps are ok, you will definitely find something you will like, but beers are not their strong suit. This goes for the wine too, nothing great but you will be ok with the selection. Now, I’m here to talk about the food and the snacks. We have started off with the meats and cheeses. The cheeses are pretty good but they have some of the best salami, made by Olympic Provisions. I have been to Olympic Provisions in Portland and they are the real deal when it comes to all things cured meats. Trust me, get it. We have also had various pickles and they were pretty good as well. I would also recommend the baked clam to start, it’s top notch. Salty, briny, delicious. I’m slowly making my way through the menu so I will have more insight later. The Mac and Cheese does sound delicious! The menu here is tight and to the point. Nothing crazy but everything is very well made. I have had two sammiches here. The roast beef, which was delicious and I have the turkey club special with Nduja aioli.(Nduja is spreadable pork. Yes, I said spreadable pork. It’s literally pork butter. Now let that marinate in your noggin.) Both sammiches were spectacular and well made right down to the bread. It came with old bay chips or your choice of another side like pasta salad. Overall this is my new go to spot. Love the food, love the service, love the vibe. Great spot in Fells. Definitely give It a go. Hopefully they can extend their hours in the future, they are currently closed on Sunday’s because they only have a six day liquor license.

Owner’s/Management transplanted from One Eyed Mikes — can’t go wrong here. They pride themselves on great customer service as well as high end food and drinks at a great price. Beer(4.5 stars) Always a great rotating craft beer list on tap. We’ve had Brewer’s Art Resurrection, Southern Tier Pumpking, Union Duck Pin to name a few. My only wish is that they had a bigger tap list. Pickle Platter(4 stars) I love pickled anything — savory sour is so yummy in creative pickles such as green beans, pearl onions, and peppers with different herb concoctions. My hubby isn’t really into them, but I really like them. Don’t dismiss the limited menu. These are some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever(yes, EVER) had: 1) Smoked Pork Loin sandwich with broccoli rabe(5 stars) — Fresh French bread filled with a generous amount of sliced pork loin — so juicy and soft that I could see the flavorful moisture when I compressed the sandwich gently with my fingers. The cheesey rabe loaded with garlic complimented the mild pork flavor perfectly.(Note, this sandwich is different than the famous Philly pork and broccoli rabe sandwich but just as good) 2) Roast Beef Sandwich(5 stars) — Crunchy bread roll surrounds pink slices of roast beef, cheese and a nice touch of horseradish. Dip this wonderful sandwich in the onion-y au jus. Au jahhh. 3) Pastrami sandwich(3.5 stars) — nice flavor and satisfies… just not as good as two above. Lobo is still new and I have a feeling, they’ll continue to grow their menu options and get even better and better.
