Neo Viccino

I feel lucky to have them in my area. Pizza, wings, cheestakes, buffolo or crabmeat topped burgers, you name it, they got it!

The five stars are for their calzones. These are New York quality. I’ve had broccoli, spinach, meatball — all excellent!

While the ambiance is nice, it’s not the first thing you notice. The first thing to notice is that you’re the only ones in the restaurant. Granted, it was a Thursday night but STILL. Even so, the service was less than impressive.
The waiter recommended the CRAB DIP which resulted in a «what a waste of 9 dollars» comment. The VERDURE PIZZA was missing the eggplant and had to be taken back. I’m not sure what they were thinking back there in the kitchen when they had a whopping 1 table to cook food for.
Should have gone to eat Afghan food (our second choice) that night instead!

I can’t comment on Neo Viccino as a sit down restaurant, as we didn’t dine here; actually, that’s a lie — we did a long time ago, but I just don’t remember it. But I digress.
Finding food delivery places in Baltimore is not an easy task. Very limited to say the least. I was then quite surprised to discover that XS delivered, and they have a pretty wide delivery range too. Still, wanting to find a decent pizza delivery place, XS wasn’t quite going to give me what I was looking for (sushi pizza anyone?). Then I remembered that XS and Neo Viccino are operated by the same people — a quick look on the website, and woo-​hoo, pizza delivery!
The pizza was very good, and very big too. The large is ridiculously large, although being the pig that I am, I still managed to devour it all. The toppings and cheese combine very well, and the base is thick enough to support the toppings, but thin enough not to be ‘over-​bready’. The edge crust is thick — thicker than I prefer, but would make a decent dipping crust if you’re into that sort of thing.
They don’t just deliver pizza though; calzones, pastas, subs, salads, appetizers (we also ordered the calamari which was excellent, and wasn’t soggy like we feared it might end up after the delivery process). I have heard that delivery can sometimes take a while, but we received our food within 45 minutes, so no complaints there.
A great addition for the delivery-​hungry folks of Baltimore.
