I’ve been there for restaurant week and they had a fantastic 3 courses menu(for a great value if $ 25)! I’ve been there before as I live close by and food here is always fresh and of good quality. The owner is very nice and you can tell he cares abouts his customers. The staff is nice even if the place is always crowded. It’s definitely my place to go if I want to eat good American cuisine!

There is just nothing like the garbage salad from Regi’s. Every time I go I want to try their other menu items but I just can’t miss out on this salad. It’s more on the expensive side(the reason for 4 stars, not 5) but it’s a good size. And includes a lot of shrimp. Service is always excellent and servers are extremely personable. Love sitting under the tented patio any time of year! The place that true locals love.

I visit Baltimore 3 – 4 times/year. Being a Midwest inhabitant, always looking for Best crab dish in Baltimore. When I arrived, my hosts said«where/what you want to eat»? Regis’ my request! Just had their crab cake dinner-the best I’ve ever had! Will be back in March for more

Regi’s was on my to do list and I wished we dined here earlier. The crabcakes were solid, not too much filler. The cream of crab soup was also good, however a little thick, but plenty of fresh crab. The crab dip was top shelf, one of the best we’ve experienced. I saw the three cheese mac and cheese on their online menu, however it wasn’t on the dine-in menu. We asked and they served it up anyways which was awesome for the kids. It was outstanding, I hope they add it back to the menu. My wife had the chilean sea bass over vegetables — it was cooked perfectly, however the vegetables had a little too much salt in the light sauce. Regi’s is a bit expensive, however the quality of the food makes it worth it. We will be back, likely very soon.

We were walking past and the street sign caught our attention… Whiskey sour special with cranberry purée and cinnamon. We decided to stop in here for a drink before a football game. We sat at a high top in the bar. We just had a couple of drinks — no food. The whiskey sour was awesome and the staff was super pleasant.

We were looking for GOOD Maryland crabcakes and found Regi’s. Our wonderful server’s name was Meagan. We ordered the CRABDIP and it was loaded with crabmeat and so good! I ordered the crab soup. It was okay. I like spicy, so I would have loved some heat with this dish! The CrabCake Club which is pictured in the photo was delicious! And it was a lot of food!

My girlfriend had the twisted chicken sandwich and the chicken had obviously been cooked before and then reheated in the microwave. The texture of the chicken was rubbery and pretty much inedible. The menu also described that the sandwich had guacamole on it but there was none to be found.

I love love love this place! Best alcoholic beverages made with fresh fruit and strong! Food is equally fresh! Innovative menu relies on local products. Bartenders are friendly and when owner is there he greats all his guest personally!

My boyfriend and I came from DC today to go check out the visionary art museum ! Friends recommended that while in Baltimore we just had to come to Regis and try«AJ’s loaded tater tots»! We made a reservation for 1130 and told the hostess we were celebrating our anniversary. We got a beautiful table inside by the window but opted for outside seating to better enjoy today’s amazing weather. Before even ordering the famous tots were sent out by the owner complimentary and these really beautiful mini muffins! I had crabcakes eggs Benedict and my boyfriend ordered a breakfast wrap! Everything was simply great! Perfectly seasoned potatoes with old bay and fresh melon! The owner is welcoming to everyone walking by and the place is dog friendly! We will be coming back!!!

Made me a tuna steak sandwich even though they took it off of the menu without even batting an eye. Waitress was great and on top of everything. A nice place to escape from the usual fed hill crowd. My friend had the salmon special– with strawberry sauce and it was a unique but great combination.

Surprisingly this is one of the best places for delivery(via orderup) in Federal Hill. Everything shows up fresh and as ordered every time. We have been happy with everything, especially the salmon burger and fries. The crab cake is good but it is very small so I would avoid that.

My first time traveling to Baltimore and I can across this restaurant because it was recommended by the hotel concierge. I was told that this place was a local favorite and that I needed to try the soft shell crab as it was in season. Sure enough I arrive at the restaurant and the house special was the Soft Shell Crab. It was yummy! I highly recommend this place. I’m used to soft shell crab in a sushi roll as that’s how it’s typically served in the west coast. I was not expecting 2 whole soft shell crabs. It was delicious!!! I also had the French onion soup prior to the entrée and that was also very yummy! The service was friendly. I will definitely come back to this restaurant the next time I’m in town!

Unfortunately, I have found that the stigma associated with Federal Hill’s nightlife scene has transgressed into a general stigma where people won’t even want to pursue day-time activities there. Well, those people are somewhat missing out. Federal Hill has some good breakfast and weekend brunch options(notably, Spoons and Ryleigh’s) with Regi’s being one of them. I have been to Regi’s once and was seated on their outdoor patio on an early fall afternoon. They have limited seating both inside and outside so I would recommend calling to see what’s available before you devote yourself to driving around searching for parking(if you opt to drive) for 20 minutes. I ordered the Eggs Chesapeake Benedict. When it comes to brunch in Baltimore, I tend to gravitate toward crab anything(«when in Rome» philosophy, I guess). The most I can say is that it was good. After all, I did eat all of it. But I must admit, I have had better. Especially for the price: $ 17 for crab cakes that were certainly on the small end and did not have that lump crab look or taste. Service though was very friendly. Aside from the service and the outdoor dining option(which is a little rare in the Federal Hill area), this place was pretty unremarkable. I’d recommend going around the block to Spoons and getting yourself some unique, tasty, and better-priced breakfast/brunch/lunch dishes. If you are looking for outdoor seating AND a seafood-heavy menu, Regi’s offers the most seafood breakfast/brunch options I’ve seen on Federal Hill menus(aside from Ryleigh’s Oyster of course). Just be willing to pay a little extra than you would elsewhere.

I was recommended Regi’s by an acquaintance of mine. Within ten minutes or so of arriving, I can understand why he recommended it. Regi’s is a small restaurant with a really warm atmosphere. Upon entering, you’re greeted by friendly staff and are seated in the small area the restaurant occupies. There always seems to be quite a few people who are eating there. The place looks great, and the food is presented quite beautifully. Now, you’re probably thinking, «That’s awesome! Why only three stars then?» I’d be asking the same thing too. All good points aside, Regi’s seems to be one of those places where part of what you pay goes towards the ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant. A decent chunk of what you pay, actually. Any way I look at it, the prices of every item I saw on the menu is at least a few bucks more expensive than what I would have thought they would be priced at, and it doesn’t seem that there are any good cheap options either. In addition, the menu seems a bit uninspired. I didn’t really see anything on the menu that really stood out to me, and rereading the menu several times didn’t yield anything different. Service, while friendly, was a bit slow, although I never got the impression that my table was completely forgotten. I guess I expected a bit more from a restaurant with this one’s particular price point and the strong initial impression it made. Maybe I’m just hating. Maybe the service was a bit off that day. I also here that brunch is where this places really shines too. If I decide to come back here to try it, it’ll probably be after exploring more places around the area looking for something better.

I like to call this my Cheers Bar in Federal Hill. A place where the locals love to hang out and the owner is always on site making sure his guests are happy. Just recently popped in and they were celebrating Hanukkah– serving fresh jelly donuts, brisket dinners and their same wonderful daily menu. There was a lively crowd and everyone seemed really happy. I enjoyed a chicken Caesar salad and my friend had matzoh ball soup and potato pancakes with fresh applesauce.

I love going out and trying new things. But I often fall back on the ol’ familiar. So when some friends came up from DC to visit, we ended up visiting Regi’s for lunch. And I’m glad we did. The menu has a nice solid list of usual stuff they serve every day, and a separate page of daily specials. I decided to go with the cranberry chicken salad, but with tater tots rather than fries. Why? Because tater tots rule, obviously. Friend #1 got the broccoli/cheddar omelet made with egg whites(zero hassle when she asked for just whites, btw), and Friend #2 got the salmon with green beans & tots. He also ordered a tot appetizer. Nutshell: everything was good. Friend #2 said his salmon was the best he’s ever seen in the area, with a nicely blackened outside and a nicely cooked but not overdone inside. Friend #1’s omelet was the size of her head, and looked amazing. As for me? My sandwich was gigantic, and the certainly didn’t skimp on the chicken. I’d have liked a bit more dressing on the salad, but then I’ve always been a mayo junkie. That’s a me problem, not a them problem; having that much chicken on a sandwich is definitely nothing to complain about. The appetizer tots were delicious, and lightly covered with a white sauce & shaved parm. I’d have never thought to put«real» parmesan on tater tots, but I will now. Thanks, Regi’s! I’ll be back y’all. BTW, they make their own pickles, which are a crazy-cool mashup of dill and bread & butter. I loved the strange«hey, this dill is… wait, now it’s kinda bread & butter» Willy Wonka-ness of ‘em, but the waitress said they’re a love/hate proposition. Me? Can I buy ‘em by the mason jar please? I know you have jars, you serve your beer in ‘em. Mmm, beer. Just far enough for me to walk to, and then walk off lunch from… I’ll be hitting this place again. Especially since our waitress told me that they put a crayfish garnish on their Bloody Marys. Let the crayfish boogaloo commence!

We wandered over to Regi’s American Bistro from the Book Festival, and were pleased that they were able to seat our party of 8 outside. We were disappointed to see they did not have a menu posted, and if we had noticed their limited selection and their prices we would have kept walking. The service was very good, and the food we had was prepared very well but all their sandwiches are in the upper teens and they didn’t have any entrees less than twenty bucks. Price wasn’t really an issue, but we were hoping for simpler fare. I ordered the salmon flatbread believing it was a pizza, but it was listed under the sandwiches because that was what it was. It was tasty, but impossible to eat as a sandwich since flatbread is not going to hold anything anywhere. I’ve been meaning to try Regi’s for a while now, and I think I’ve had my fix.

IMO, it’s the best restaurant bar in federal hill, great food/service/people. There are three bartenders that work there regularly, Tricia/Colin/Dena and the trio are very attentive. They will make you feel like home, and the owner Alan will greet you at the moment you walk in. I love their concept about supporting local produces and also with fresh herbs/veg straight from their rooftop garden. Everything is super fresh! Namaste
