Their mac and cheese is overpriced($ 15), small serving, and sucks(watery). This is the place to come to though for soccer matches, especially UEFA playoffs.

Fabulous burger. Better than Abby’s Bistro Burger and very good service. It’s an Irish pub and can br loud during soccer play –offs.

I typically go to Slainte after a nightshift at work. Since the place opens early in the morning, Slainte is a great option for folks who work nightshift wanting to grab a meal and drink before going to sleep. On any given weekday morning, the place is bustling with hospital staff, firefighters, and paramedics. The bottomless mimosa and bloody marys are a value for those who can hold their liquor. The bartenders are friendly and generous. And I would definitely rate the ambience and pub portion a 3.75 star rating. The food is pretty average, like a 2.5 rating. I have mainly had the breakfast, which is pretty straight forward — nothing to rave home about. Slainte is a good place for a solid drink with friends.

The food was excellent. We stopped in for breakfast and had the Traditional Irish breakfast. I ate blood sausage for the first time and it wasn’t bad. The next time we’re in Fells Point, we will be back.

It must have been an off Friday night when I visited Slainte… My husband and I were in Baltimore for a show and decided to head to Fells Point for dinner. Being and Irish pub we both went for some traditional fare and were sorely disappointed. The fish and chips completely lacked flavor and were overly greasy. I had a cup of Potato Leek soup which cost $ 7(!!) — the soup was tasty, but pureed potato and onion should not be that expensive. The coffee was burnt and way too strong and the Spiced Apple Bread Pudding was underwhelming, to say the least, and still cold in the middle. I would not recommend this pub to any friends visiting the Charm City.

Went here to watch the man U game because a friend of ours is a liverpool fan. Service was pretty ok. I didn’t eat anything there but my friends ordered the breakfast sandwhich and another ordered an egg white omelet both of which said they enjoyed it. The waitress was pretty good about refilling our waters, cokes and coffee. Just a regular ol’ bar honestly, nothing special. It is more of a liverpool bar so if u are a Man U fan there is another bar in baltimore more for you :)

Some friends from college and I were meeting for brunch and decided to try out Slainte in Fells Point. Mainly, because it was recently on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. But also because I love corned beef hash, and I would guess that an Irish Pub would make a better version than some that I’ve previously had. As a table, we started with an order of Soft Pretzels, mainly because when one of my friends sees it on a menu she can’t resist ordering them. These weren’t very good, there was no salt on them which is half of a pretzel. Fortunately there’s the soft pretzel stand in Fells Point basically right outside of Slainte, so my friend satisfied her craving after brunch. One of my friends was feeling particularly picky this morning and wanted nothing more than a Grilled Cheese. The bread was crispy and the cheese was melted, what’s not to love. One of my other friends went with an order of Irish Pancakes. This was not your traditional order of pancakes, you were served three rather large potato pancakes toped with herb sour cream and a side of potatoes and sausage. I love potato pancakes, but these weren’t as crispy as I would have liked. The sour cream was a delicious topping for them though. My friend loved the dish, which is really the most important part. My love of Corned Beef Hash is what brought my friends and I to Slainte, so of course I ordered that. This dish came with a lot of meaty tender corned beef brisket, potatoes, onions, peppers, and two over easy eggs. This corned beef hash was on par with the one I had at Woodberry Kitchen, it was wonderful. If you’re looking for some brunch favorites with an Irish twist, check out Slainte in Fells Point.

stopped in w/a girlfriend for a quick lunch since it was rainy out. We ordered the lunch special; ½ a corned beef sandwich, spinach salad, and cup of the potato leek soup. I’ve never been here before and I’m so glad I found out about it. The soup is hearty and seasoned very well. The spinach salad was pretty basic but it balanced out the heavy sandwich

Friend and I were visiting and split 2 crab cakes — delicious! Crispy on the outside and savory on the inside, made even better with tartar sauce with bits of onion in it.

Based on the reviews from DD&D I decided to check this out during a pitstop in Baltimore and the pub itself is not how I envisioned it or how it was shown. It’s charming and got a few differing vibes based on what floor you are on. We chose to sit on the second floor and were the only diners on the floor on a Tuesday night. The waitress a DC transplant was fun and actively attentive. She was still learning the menu so it was a mutual discovery and made a mean old fashioned. Cheers to that! For an appetizer we ordered the crispy Brussel sprouts and the scotch egg. The food came out extremely quick which was great and while the scotch egg was labeled the best appetizer it was the Brussel sprouts that shone. Crispy, earthy, flavorful and dressed with lemon and a nice sauce they were perfect. The scotch egg itself was ok, the grits it rested on were delicious but the egg itself just didn’t seem fresh and was a little dry. For dinner I ordered the Bibimbap and my partner ordered the Mac and Cheese. The bibimbap had a good flavor primarily driven from the Sriracha and the corned beef(nicely flavored). I didn’t get the crispiness to the rice and the vegetables were mainly peppers versus traditional bibimbap. The Mac and cheese did look good but was nothing special or a dish that I wanted to walk away feeling fat and friendly from. Overall creative menu but ok on flavor.

A hidden gem. Well at least hidden to me. We thought we were going to Woody’s Rum Bar but instead ended up here. Our party of 5 was seated relatively quickly for a Saturday night. Once seated our waitress came right over to take our drink orders. Service was fast and the waitress was friendly. She kindly made a few substitutions on my meal. The food arrived with 15 minutes. I had the crab cake but subbed the rice and veggies for cheese grits and kale. First of all that crab cake was everything! AKA delicious AKA soo good. It didn’t have a bunch of filling and was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The grits were good not very cheesy but still good. The kale was excellent as well. Seems simple but many people over cook kale and this kale was just right. Over all excellent meal. The rest of the party had blackened salmon and fish and chips. Both excellent. Salmon perfectly blackened and came with grits and kale. Fish and chips were crispy and delicious. It was a huge portion. All in all this Irish Pub did not disappoint. Especially for the price point($ 16 Fish Nd chips, $ 17 crab cake, $ 18 salmon) I would definitely go back again.

This place is the place to be if you work night shifts and are a 1st responder of some type! When you walk in, you feel like you have walked into your own front door. Come here a couple of times post night shift at the hospital and the place is filled with firefighters and nurses. Nice place to unwind with coworkers as well as get your night cap . Last time I was there I ordered the breakfast boxy, it is an Irish spin on a simple breakfast sandwich. The food was very good, and the meal comes with unlimited mimosas that will get you all warm and fuzzy on the inside! I had to deduct stars for the service. The bartender was the only person waiting on tables for the entire restaurant. He was moving as quickly as he could, but when your full and you have nobody to help you that can make for poor service to the customer. My friend and I were there for 2 ½ hours, most of the time was wasted on waiting for the bartender to come to the table. Haven’t tried their lunch/dinner menu. From the pics looks good, jus hope they have more hands on deck to accommodate the increased volume.

I would bathe in that artichoke dip. Yup, that’s what I left saying when I visited Slainte’s. As a die-hard Blackhawks fan, I needed a place to watch the game during the Stanley Cup playoffs while away in Baltimore. I read Slainte’s was rated as the spot for hockey-watching. While I disagree, I ended up having great food and watching Hawks win. I called and made sure they’d play the game. Hawks fans don’t mess around. I was seated upstairs and indeed, all the TVs were playing the game with sound. I even got the waiter to turn an extra TV on for us :). We started with the artichoke dip. This was the most decadent, cheesy, dip I’ve ever had in my life. The serving size was also massive that the serve brought an additional bread to finish it up. I then had the fish and chips which were quite solid. Baltimore definitely does not f around with their seafood. Our server was really cool and accomodated all our crazy hockey needs while making sure our drinks and food were on point. While Baltimore isn’t a hockey town, I still had a great time at Slainte’s.

Service gets two stars, food gets four stars. The beau and I took a trip to Baltimore to experience the city as tourists and ended up at Slainte, because it’s the Manchester City bar(and I think more generally, the soccer-watching bar). It’s a fun place, generally speaking, tucked across from the Homicide: Life on the Streets building in Fells Point. I loved eating next to the window and looking out over the harbor! It was a Sunday morning, and the place wasn’t packed, by any stretch. I don’t know if they were just generally under-staffed, or what, but it took FOREVER to get drinks, of which I had ONE round because our server just wasn’t really interested in serving us. The food also took forever, but we ordered at the same time as a large party, so that’s totally understandable. But I really wanted to order more drinks — even like, coffee and water and another cider– but never had the chance. The server would drop something off at another table and scurry away before we could flag her down. It was pretty frustrating. But the food was really good. I loved the creamy grits, and my eggs benedict was fab. The burgers that I saw come out of the kitchen also looked really good. Bottom line? Great place to watch a soccer match if you aren’t expecting super high quality service. It was also super family-friendly! I will say, the Baltimore Man City group isn’t nearly as welcoming as the DC folks, so just FYI.

Slainte, you had me at your name! Meaning«cheers» in Irish, I knew this would be a solid choice for some casual afternoon beers. I got a double organic cider bc I wanted to try it, but my trying came with a $ 20 tab which my friends loved to LOL about. Regardless, the staff is super friendly and the space is fitting for the theme. Cheers to you, Slainte!

We were here for the American Outlaws’ night before party earlier this month, the night before the Gold Cup quarterfinal(for soccer). As a group, we are 30,000 strong nationwide, and given that Baltimore’s easy to get to from the New England area, DC, etc, we can easily pack 500 in a bar, no problem. Unfortunately, the bar was not ready for us. Not only was there an event on the third floor, but the bar was imposing a strict policy regarding the number of people allowed into the bar due to fire code. Strangely, when we visited under the same circumstance two years ago in 2013, they did not care. As a result, the bar lost a lot of business. People didn’t want to wait a long time to get into the bar, so they left. In addition, I was texting and tweeting friends outside stating there were empty tables inside, but alas, they were still not allowed into the bar. As a result, our night before party, which usually has hundreds of people, only had about 50 by the time we left(about 11PM, which is early for us), which was quite sad. To give you an idea of how much business our group provides, in Chicago we paid for Weathermark Tavern’s first month’s rent, next month’s rent, and last month’s rent. Per the bar manager there, we are welcome to come ANYTIME lol! Since this place was on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives, we decided to try the items that were on the show. I ordered the seafood gumbo, and it was terrible. It was too salty! I have definitely had better in Houston and Louisiana. My friend ordered the Irish Bibimbap, which is stir fried vegetables, corned beef, rice, fried egg, pickled, cabbage, and Sriracha. It too was abysmal. The rice was not an Asian rice, which means it was really hard. The vegetables were huge and awkward, from an Asian perspective. I realize this is an Irish pub, but if you’re going to advertise a stir fry, do it right! The taste was not good, and we left, unsatisfied. The only reason for two stars instead of one is the service. The waitress came around pretty often, despite the crowd during the peak hours. We probably would’ve left earlier if she hadn’t kept asking us if we wanted to drink more!

A dozen or so brunch visits warrants me putting proverbial pen to paper on this one. We started going there when we discovered they often a discount to nurses and MDs when they are post-call and show up in their scrubs. If you’re here on a Sunday morning you’ll see a team of OBGYNs decompressing and occasionally falling asleep into their mimosas. I’m not sure why, but I LOVE their English Muffins. I always order one but could probably eat a cool dozen. Grits, breakfast potatoes, Eggs Benedict and bottomless booze round out our top menu choices. The service is always great, and we like going upstairs because it’s quiet. Ascend another flight of stairs and you’re at Woody’s; aka. the best view in Baltimore. Speaking of views, from the 2nd floor, we watched 100 or so fire-fighters last weekend as they searched for a potential drowning victim. Turned out to be a shopping cart, but the waiter was kind enough to let us sit for 2+ hours to watch the drama unfold. You can also go here to watch any futbol game. They play them all. In the summer get there early for one of the coveted outdoor, people-watching tables. We haven’t tried the outdoor raw bar but they were running it last week(mid-February) and I know it’s really popular. One of our favs!

Love coming here for breakfast and bottomless mimosas/blood Mary’s. Decently priced and delicious Irish food. They’re big into soccer if that’s your thing. The corned beef nachos are really good if you come here for dinner or snacks while you’re drinking. Not sure if they still do this, but they give 30% discount for breakfast to EMS and nurses. Plus you can’t go wrong with $ 10 bottomless mimosas/bloody Mary’s!

Slainte is an awesome traditional Irish pub(at least as far as I can tell around the U.S.). They hit all the favorites from a great selection of Irish beers to shepherds pie, Reuben sammies, bangers and mash, and a Guinness stew. I kept things light and had the cod with broccolini, asparagus and chimichurri. Very delicious. Everything was well seasoned and well cooked. The fish had a great sear from the sauté. The veggies were hot but still retained plenty of crunch. The vibe is of an upbeat lively Irish pub. Dark but not dank. Good music. Friendly helpful service with plenty of detailed recommendations. One nice touch I noted was some Irish takes on nontraditional dishes such as the Irish Bibimbap: stir fried veggies, corned beef, rice, fried egg, pickled, cabbage, and Sriracha. The server explained that it is a traditional Korean dish that Slainte makes«Irish» with the addition of corned beef. Not the most creative but my dad got it and it was delicious and packed some serious heat! Something else to note that I haven’t experienced is that Slainte is a well-known hardcore soccer bar, voted best soccer bar in Baltimore many years. I’ve seen many want ads for servers and bartenders citing a love and knowledge of European soccer as a prerequisite for applying. Definitely go check out this Fells Point classic.

Loved this for lunch/brunch on Sunday! It was lovely with the soccer games going on in the bars. However we had a sweet little window table on the second floor and it was lovely Our server was very attentive. we order four done rent things. My friend ordered the famous seafood gumbo. The«cup» is actually a bowl. A lot of quality food for only 9 dollars. Warning it’s very spicy!! She then had the truffle Mac and cheese with pulled pork! So delicious! I wanted it just for that subtle truffle flavor. Decadent and no way did she finish. I ordered a cup of the potato leek soup and it was filling… Just mediocre though. The main dish — the fried chicken sandwich was unreal. It had avocado and a jalapeño cream. It was HUGE! Seriously the largest one Id ever seen.(ThAts what she said) I cut in half and ate the smaller half and wrapped the rest up. A great bonus — the fries were perfectly crispy. What an epic sandwich. I’ll be back!

Had dinner here with some friends. Service was fast and friendly. My crab cake was top notch. My friend had some salmon and it was delicious. We sat on the second floor, which was a little quieter than the ground floor. The restrooms were clean. For a pub in a touristy area, this exceeded my expectations.
