We had four children; 5, 6, 6 and 11 plus 2 adults. Staff was polite and attentive. Food came out fast, 2 kids got the corn dogs and the other 2 got the mac n cheese. The corn dogs were all eaten, but the mac n cheese, the kids didn’t enjoy it. The adults got the crab cake entrée(one crab cake) with coleslaw and french fries with old bay seasoning. The crab cake was flavorful and and cooked to perfection, the coleslaw was«slammin» and the french fries had just enough seasoning. Also got the Chesapeake burger, with a little pink meat. The crab dip in it was a bit messy, not too big of a fan, the french fries had garlic butter sauce on them which had just the right amount of garlic(it’s not coming out of my pores). We also got the strawberry lemonade, a bit sour but tasty, one of the kids got a root beer which came in a bottle and was really yummy and old fashioned. Overall it was a decent experience and we wouldn’t mind coming back.

I went to this Greene Turtle for dinner on 5÷3÷16, and will not be going back. Our service was somewhat slow, and the food was okay. The reason I will not return is because I became very sick after eating there. My friend and I both ordered the Cowboy Burger, and shared a Brownie Sundae. Both of us had stomach issues and nausea the entire night and next day. It definitely was not a coincidence. I have a digestive disease that was in remission, but all of my symptoms have started up again because of this experience. I have had to miss work and have been in a great deal of pain. I would advise others to find somewhere else to eat, there are many other restaurants nearby.

Great place. Server was polite and fast! They didn’t cook my burger the way I liked. Didn’t notice until manager came over to ask how everything was. I was yapping… Then I noticed. I was almost done … He was very nice have me one to take home! Thank you

Had fish tacos. Pretty good. It’s a bar. Lots of TV’s. Maybe 42″ TV’s. But, nice environment, plenty of space. Staff friendly. I’d come back.

Came in today alone for a light lunch. Waitress Kate A, barely took my order and I never saw her again until it was time for the check. I guess now I’m supposed to leave this awesome tip. I left 15% against my better judgement. There was a manager that asked me how my food was. I just get a welcome feeling from the door and until my exit. Won’t be visiting again.

It’s usually no problem getting a seat quickly. Food is just ok. Nothing special. They have a decent beer selection. Our order was mixed up with another tables. We ordered a cheesesteak and got a chicken cheesesteak instead. Server was friendly but would disappear for long periods. My beer glass was empty and her absence delayed my drink order so I sat thirsty while she was MIA.

Went for lunch during a workday, took pretty long for a burger and the burger was meh, not terrible but if I made it at home I would be disappointed. Nothing great nothing bad, more like 2.5 stars

I came here for lunch today. I had a $ 9.99 rewards to use, so I figured why not use it for my lunch while I was by myself. I ordered a $ 10.99 flatbread appetizer for my lunch. The waitress seemed less than impressed that I was only ordering the flatbread. I am not sure why I would order a flatbread and then an entire meal, but whatever. The waitress must have thought I was done eating, even though I had 2 pieces of flatbread and just taken a bite, because she came over and picked up my plate and walked away with it. What the hell?! I know I am by myself and I have headphones km because I am watching a video on my iPad, but really?!? So I politely asked for my bill. She came back and made a comment on how cheap it was. Yep, that was the reasoning for using my reward, to have a cheap lunch. So I sat and waited for over 20 minutes for her to return to my table to get my bill because I still needed change. I certainly was not going to tip her $ 18 considering her service. She never came back. I had to ask a different server for change.

All green turtles are pretty much created equal and the only things that set them apart are the service. I came to this location because I had a old groupon that had expired for here worth $ 10 so even though it’s out of the way I figured I would pass by two others to come here. I got there at about 10 to watch a few March madness games. Bar area was crowded so got a booth. Probably was a bad sign to start with that the hostess was talking to a waitress and had her back to me for a solid 3 min. But we were eventually seated. It’s nice that they have little TVs at the booths so I could still see the game. Thought they had shell raiser IPA on special like other locations during the tournament games. Was told that since I was using the groupon I couldn’t get the specials. No big deal or so I thought. I love the crab dip and the crab flat bread pizza. My waitress was slow through out the night. I understood at first because she had a large table she was working with. But after they left she was still pretty slow. At the end of the night it took her forever to bring me the check. Then she didn’t even accept my groupon. So pretty much a waisted trip. Next time I will just go the the green turtle by my house. The service here is not up to par. The only reason it got 2 stars is because the food is good.

Stopped in for lunch during a snow storm. David the bartender was the only one working this day because everyone called out. He single handedly worked at least 10 tables by the bar area. They have a great lunch special, pick 2 for $ 7.99 from 11 – 3. You can pick a half sandwich or pizza, soup, or salad. I chose the cheese steak and salad, both were great! My sandwich came out with a few toppings I don’t normally eat because of allergies. When I told David about this, he said no problem and took it back to get me a sandwich that was okay in less than 5 mins. Superior service on a short staffed/busy day!

The food and service was great, however, they stiffed me part of my change when I paid cash. If I did that at my job, I would get fired. They gave me the change when they realized that I was upset about it. They claimed that only the bar gave coins and they round to the nearest dollar for table service. Not cool.

The green Turtle is a fast growing regional brand offering value through a full bar of the most popular beers and liqueurs, complimented by a large and evolving menu that offers perfectly matched bar food. The Fort McHenry location is one of the newer GT’s and is an emerging social scene as well. My thoughts: What I Like: — GT is safe. You always know what you are getting. Menu is consistent from bar to bar. The food is always good to great. — Drinks are well priced. You won’t get whacked for expensive drinks at GT. — Service is always fine. Never had a disastrous experience here. — Parking isn’t bad, with street spots and a full garage attached tot he main area. What I Don’t Like: — The main bar is very sport-viewer friendly, but the rest of the dining area lacks the same overwhelming amount of TV’s other GT’s have. In Hunt Valley and Towson, you literally have TV’s at every seat, or walls of large projection TV’s attacking your vision. The table-to-TV ratio is lower here. Overall, if you’ve been to a Green Turtle, then you know what to expect. If you have not been to a Green Turtle, this location feels more restaurant than sports bar. I would raise my rating if they had more aggressive drink specials in terms of creativity(just new options, maybe seasonally), and if they had more and larger televisions. God, I’m such an American male. Nice location, good food, will definitely repeat!

Went there to watch ’13 Ravens season opener and was so turned off by the service I won’t be back., possibly ever despite living in the neighborhood(FYI I left at halftime before Denver destroyed the team in the second half). — 1 large projection TV synched to sound system. All other smaller TVs that are showing the same game are 1 second behind the projection screen and audio and it has been this way since they opened. This delay makes football etc watching on the smaller TVs incredibly annoying as the fans scream/cheer 1 second before you see what happened. — ordered medium spiced wings… ate 2 and found out they put nuclear/atomic on them. They brought me new wings and they were only slightly less hot… I’m talking tears streaming down my face. 3 of the 12 wings for $ 13.99 were covered in a black tar from overcooking and were not edible. — they charged me for two orders of wings and I had to get manager approval to get 1 of them taken off. Should have eaten for free considering my GI nightmare ahead. — not enough staff on hand to serve our table of 3 — 25 minute wait to order refills etc — my friends vowed never to meet me here again as their experience sucked. It’s a service/management problem. Otherwise a good physical location.

Just… Don’t. Don’t go here. I know, it’s convenient, it has drinks, it has TVs, it should be a «good time.» It isn’t. Just don’t go here. I understand that the Green Turtle is a bar first, and a restaurant second. But bar food can be a delicious splurge. This, is not. I have sent so many items back for being truly inedible that I can hardly remember what I finally choked down. I remember a pulled pork sandwich that I couldn’t neither bite through, nor saw through with a steak knife. I have never tasted a salad so covered in salt. I downed 3 glasses of water trying to eat 1⁄3 of that small, sad, wedge salad. Just about everything served here comes from a frozen package, so how, how can the«chefs» mess it up THAT bad? The service is generally fine. What you would expect from a place like this. I just feel bad for the waitstaff having to deliver this slop, only to take it back to the kitchen. They know the food they are bringing out is terrible, but there is really nothing they can do about it but say sorry, and ask if you’d like it replaced with something else that will surely be, just as awful.

I’ve been here a number of times because I live above it. I wish it was better, because how great would it be to live above a bar/restaurant you really love? I guess in the end, I’m saving money because I don’t have any desire to come here on a regular basis. I do know people that love this place, though. I finally had the first thing I’ve ever really liked from here, and it was on their summer menu. It was some kind of sunset chicken or something like that. They also had bruschetta that was OK. The burgers are so-so, as with most of the other food I’ve had. Only had beer here and it’s nothing to write home about price or selection-wise. Supposedly they have special deals for residents but I have yet to see this definitively anywhere.

I go here because I live really close. Probably at least once a week… but this has to end. Every time I go the service gets worse and worse… and the servers get younger and younger. Had a 12 year old girl last night serving us and our food was actually inedible… and she still charged us for a rock hard brownie dessert. This truly is the last straw.

I have been to many of The Greene Turtles(McHenry Row, Fells Point, DC, Columbia) and have always had cold drinks, decent bar food, and good service… We recently held my boyfriends surprise birthday party at The Greene Turtle @ McHenry Row and cannot say enough about how great the staff was for the party! During planning Dan, the general manager, answered my millions of questions promptly and gave me many suggestions to make the night a success. During the party, the wait staff and the bartenders were super friendly, really helpful, and always available. We couldn’t have asked for better service! As for the food, we had bar food staples: wings, meatballs, a veggie tray, and crab dip in party platter-style. All of the food was yummy and the guests really enjoyed it.

So we ended up here after trying to go to two other restaurants mainly Hersh’s and the other pizza joint over there and not being able to find a parking spot. I figured we go there for dinner and then grab some stuff from Harris Teeter it was evening this past Sunday. We get there and the place is pretty empty so we pretty much have our choice of where to say we ended up at a booth which was fine. We order our food and we get the Pork Hammer app which was good but it tasted very charred. When I got my stuffed burger, dinner it was so charred that it was inedible. I understand you want to put grill marks on everything, its the American way, but the food was terrible. It was like they hadn’t cleaned their grill in ages. I don’t think that i’ll be coming back

The service was very good, and the manager was kind enough to come over when I sent my appetizer back. The manager apologized, and there was no problem with exchanging the Bruschetta for the Mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were almost as bad. I ordered the Ty Cobb salad, and I couldn’t finish it. However, the Strawberry Pound Cake is a MUSTHAVE! It never occurred to me to «grill» the pound cake with butter, but it was delicious! Otherwise, the Green Turtle desperately needs a head chef, and a new menu!!!

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at the new Green Turtle at McHenry Row. For starters, this fabulous new location offers a free parking garage! What’s better than free, convenient parking in downtown Baltimore?! I wasn’t sure what to expect when ordering ahi tuna at a chain sports bar, but the menu did not lie when it described the dish as «seared and blackened on the outside, rare and moist on the inside». It was delicious! Some of the best tuna I’ve ever had, and I eat tuna roughly once a week. I highly recommend this dish. The portion size was perfect. The atmosphere was nice, there was a great live band playing, and the crowd was pleasant. No rowdy frat boys here; this green turtle was very family-friendly! The only reason that I’m giving the Green Turtle four stars instead of five is because our waitress wasn’t that great. She rarely came by our table, even though during the first hour or so, the restaurant was pretty empty(it filled up as the night went on), and she wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu. She was nice, but a little flighty. Had she been more attentive and known more about the menu and had our food come out with better timing, it would have been a perfect evening!
