Went to pick up a friend at the airport and we were hungry. We’re not from the area we’re from Virginia. We searched a place up and this was the closest and open the latest. Waiter was really nice and the pizza was AMAZING! I will recommend this place to anyone in the area. We found parking right away too

I was excited, but it really didn’t taste any better than any other pizza I’ve had. It was ok. But their Nutella, strawberry and banana calzone was fantastic!

The pizza was fine — nothing special but not bad at all. However, I’m pretty disappointed in the business. We were staying at a nearby hotel without many nearby choices. We ordered a pizza and two drinks. The pizza delivery came and the driver called me and made me meet him in the lobby rather than bring it to our room. Fine, whatever. I got back to my room and realized he didn’t give me the two drinks I ordered with the pizza. I quickly called him back and he said he would be right back with them. He never came back. I got charged for them anyway. Pretty lousy business practice in my opinion. I called the restaurant but no one answered. Convenient. Not somewhere I would recommend.

Pizza and salad is delicious. BUT Everytime I order a salad, it comes with The smallest thing of dressing. I always order and PAYFOR extra dressing and it never comes. Very disappointing

Our favorite place to get pizza in the city. The crust’s texture is so unique and delicious. Try the Mediterranean salad and the port-the-Bella pizza. Dining in has a very casual and approachable vibe, but we do take out more often. Happy hour prices could be better.

Home Slyce has great pizza offerings made with quality ingredients and decent pricing for the portions. Their happy hour food specials are great! I would like there to be better communication to the customers about lack of particular ingredients; I don’t think it’s appropriate to just substitute ingredients on custom pizzas because you’ve run out(i.e. green peppers for red peppers, one kind of cheese for another). Other than that, and the occasional sloooooowww service, this place is A. OK!

Highly Disappointed in my caprese salad. It had 3 slivers of tomato drenched in oil… A few leaves… And a ball of what appears to be burrata not mozzarella slices… And then a ton of bread. I’m confused?! Plus was this picked at?!

We ordered a large for three people and we all struggled through one slice each. It was a slightly more evolved version of pizza made from kits, sold for school fundraisers. It was also D.O.A.

Home Slyce is great! Their ingredients have tasted really fresh each time that I’ve ordered. Their fried pickles are REALLY good! They’ve got a kick to them!

Ordered a 3 Little Pigs sandwich for my son — he liked it. It looked good, In fact, I wish now I had ordered one. If you look at my last review of this place, you’ll see I gave them four stars for the Mediterranean Salad. Still one of the best salads I’ve ever had… until tonight. Ordered one through GrubHub for delivery, along with my son’s sandwich. Not only was this perhaps the worst salad I’ve ever eaten — I had to make my own dressing. What I ordered: Mediterranean Salad. It’s supposed to come with artichoke hearts, feta cheese, and kalamata olives, along with basil vinaigrette. What I actually received: A pile of spring mix greens(maybe $ 2 worth) along with sliced canned black olives, no cheese, two artichoke hearts, and no dressing. I had to make my own dressing. For a salad I ordered from a restaurant. The greens weren’t even seasoned, so I had to do that, too. So basically, I paid $ 8 for a bag of salad greens I could have purchased at the Harris Teeter for $ 2.99 on sale. Nope. Won’t be ordering that again.

Delicious pizza. Eat it from the tip to the crust. You’ll be pleased. I sampled a meat pizza and it was yummy. The crust is chewy but not too doughy. It didn’t strike me as NY style because the crust wasn’t thin and crusty as I like. Yet, I would pleasantly enjoy eating their pizza again.

Home Slyce catered a Unilocal Elite event recently. These pies are absolutely to die for!?!(Halloween Party Pun) I enjoy the thin crust nature of their pizzas. To me, thin crust pizza leaves you feeling healthy and light, instead of bloated and sweaty like deep dish and Chicago style.

After weeks of planning our kids’ 3rd birthday party I was left with one question… where are we going to get the pizza? So as usual, I wondered around Unilocal and found this HomeSlyce in Federal Hill. I wanted to be able to buy a pie before the party to try it out but I never got a chance. As a result we went into the ordering ‘blind’. Once I told them I was planning for a party I was connected with the manager. They have me an extremely reasonable price for how many people we were feeding. When the day came the delivery guy even helped me set up the food table and get everything laid out perfectly. The food was just amazing and there was not a single slice left of the pizza. It all turned out perfectly!

Been back here close to a dozen times at this point, & usually it’s the same order each time. Pepperoni pizza, probably a beer or two. Last time or two the sauce has tasted a little different, but I can be flexible. HomeSlyce also made an appearance at the Unilocal soirée at Horseshoe Casino a few weeks ago, and they had some yummy options, albeit room temp & a little more chewy than usual. Not sure which location did the cooking on that one. I have noticed a difference between my go-to Light St location and the one on Kenwood. Haven’t tried the Charles St one yet. Today’s adventure brought me back here again, & this time I decided to try the spinach pie appetizer, which really isn’t a «pie» at all. Instead, it’s a surprising pull-apart twist/roll of phyllo dough filled w/spinach pie ingredients. And pretty good! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. So after the first one, I sat for a while, chatting with the bartender Ricardo, & then I ordered another one. :-D And then I realized I should just take it home because I couldn’t finish it. One note, they could serve a little dressing since the field greens come with it.

HomeSlyce has recently become a weekly place for me and friends to grab a bite to eat and watch sports. At first I thought it was just a pizza joint, but it’s a cool mix of a bar and pizzeria. They have a pool table and its free to play! They have tons of appetizers, sandwiches, salads and of course pizzas! I’ve tried a few of the thing of the menu so far. I had the red chili pepper wings and the buffalo wings. They were okay. I like my wings to be super saucey but these wings were on the drier side. Caesar salad is really good and a huge portion! Last time I came my friend and I split a Caesar salad and a 10″ pizza and it was enough for the both of us. We had the Strongman Meat and it was pretty good! HomeSlyce also boasts some awesome specials! Thursdays are sandwich night and for $ 5 you get any of their sandwiches, fries and a side salad. Try the Three Pigs and Cheese sandwich, which comes with salami, pepperoni, prosciutto, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Soooo good! And their fries with the YumYum sauce are addicting! They also have happy hour 4 – 7 everyday! Yes, everyday! Even the weekends! They offer $ 5 house wines, $ 1 natty boh cans and $ 5 mini pizzas. I’ve never had a huge problem with the service. Yeah, the waitresses have been forgetful at times, but nothing to get your panties in a bunch about. And as for parking, most of it is permitted but there is a some un-permitted parking available on the street.

A few blocks from my apartment in Federal Hill, is Homeslyce which is my roommate and I consider our go-to for carry out. We don’t eat there often, but when we do we are never disappointed. My roommate had a friend over and the three of us were looking to grab a bite to eat before heading to the bars. We were all in the mood for pizza and looking for something a little more causal than Hersh’s. My roommate suggested Homeslyce and we headed over. At Homeslyce, they serve their French Fries with a delicious ‘yum-yum’ sauce, so we started with an order of these. The fries are sprinkled with seasonings and the yum-yum sauce is a cajun aioli. It’s not very spicy but it is wonderful to dip fries into. My roommate and her friend shared a Cheese Pizza. Just like the pizza at Two Boots, this one is also made with a cornmeal crust. The pizza is fairly straight forward, and a great option if you’re looking for a pie in Federal Hill. I wanted to try something a little different and went with the Margarita Sandwich. The sandwich came with fresh mozzarella, basil, tomatoes, and herbed olive oil, I also added chicken to the sandwich to make it a little more filling. The bread tasted like pizza crust which was amazing and all the components of the sandwich were incredibly fresh. Additionally, it came with more of that yum-yum sauce I love. If you’re looking to grab a quick pizza in Federal Hill, Homeslyce won’t disappoint.

Went in two nights ago for dinner with a girlfriend and remembered immediately why I never dine in. It took 15 minutes before a server came to greet us and they only came over because we were putting on our coats to leave. The restaurant is small and there were empty tables so there was no excuse for why we were ignored for such a long period of time. Two strikes– not coming back for the third.

Home Slyce has become a go-to for me if I’m ordering in on a cold/dark/rainy night when all I want is to curl up with a bottle of wine and… wait, where has all the wine gone?! Home Slyce has a ridiculously good deal where you can order their biggest pizza and a bottle of wine for something crazy like $ 25. I live pretty close by so they deliver menus here. There’s a $ 5 off $ 20+ coupon, so I get a huuuuuge(delicious) pizza and bottle of wine delivered to my door for around $ 20. You cannot beat that! In addition, Home Slyce has really unique toppings, which is always a perk in my book. The calzones are yummy too!
