First time here. Got sat right away but then strangely ignored for 15 – 20 minutes before being asked for drinks. Even saw the two waiters pointing at us and was still ignored. Yeah they have a ton of beers and the pretzel appetizer was pretty good but that was about it. Margherita flat bread was soggy and bland and the club sandwich was nothing out of this world, I probably could make a better one at home. Got in, got out, and don’t plan on returning.

Bartender was super friendly. Sriracha Lime Shrimp Tacos were delicious. Tater tots were good. Fries were meh. We didn’t get any beer since we just needed a quick snack before shopping at Harris Teeter, but the food was great as well. Way superior to the Green Turtle.

While visiting Baltimore, my cousin recommended we have a night of fun here… and what a great pick! I’m not a beer drinker, but they had a TON of selections that were really good… and the best part is that they allow you to sample a beer you’re interested in! Also, the food was GREAT… and the service we received(as a party of 6 mind you) was EXCELLENT!!! When I come back to Baltimore, I definitely want to come back here!

Bottom Line: Good beer list, great bottle list, tasty food. I like World of Beer. Sometimes my experience here is better than others depending on the live music. Whereas the live music is hit or miss, you can certainly expect consistency in the beer department. They usually have about 20 craft beers on tap and hundreds of other beers in bottles. Even though they have an expansive beer selection, there food should not be overlooked. I personally like to order one of the ginormous soft pretzels and share it with my table mates as we scroll through the list of beers on the iPad. Yes, the list is so long that it must be provided electronically for adequate sorting. Most of the staff here is good. They seem to work as a team and help each other out so that is good for the patrons. There is two-hour metered parking out front or you can park in the nearby garage. The garage says there is a two hour limit but they don’t seem to have any means of checking for how long you were parked there. In fact, if they didn’t let people park anyway for more than two hours this whole shopping center would lose business.

Went here for dinner and a drink waiting for a movie nearby. This was a great find! I am not a beer drinker and in fact thought the only beer I would ever like is Not your Fathers Root Beer, lol. But the bartender was great! Asked what kind of drinks I like, and what I didn’t like about the beers I had tried in the past. He brought me a couple samples and lo and behold! I found out I like beer!!! I added a club sandwich to the mix. My husband got the wings and a sampler of four beers all of which he truly enjoyed. We will definitely be back!

Outstanding beer selection on draught and bottle… that’s the only reason for the 4 stars. Prices are comparable to anywhere else around except for some of the harder to find craft beers. I’d give the food 2.5 stars but with lots of beer(which they have) the food can taste pretty good with a buzzzzz

Went there Friday night. WOB had a live concert which was very pleasant. Big crowd n outdoor seating. WOB has an amazing selection of beers — 500 beers plus 50 on draught. You can explore yr beer taste buds from any country. Since I also had dinner there, And I did not like it, i therefore give WOB3 stars. I ordered their chicken chipotle sandwich. The meat was tepid and tasteless — probably the worst sandwich I have had in years. And even though I sat at the bar, table service was awful So if you can eat dinner somewhere else, you can at least enjoy the beers. 3 stars Cheers.

I usually don’t waste time giving bad reviews but this place is so bad I feel if I need to save people time and money by warning them not to go. They do have an impressive beer selection but it is vastly over priced, and that is where the impressive features end. Service sucks. Waited more than ten minutes to even be acknowledged and brought a menu. Then another 15 before drink orders were taken. Another 15 minutes before the drinks arrived and was able to order food. Then a full 25 minutes to actually receive what we ordered. The food was basic at best… hardly seasoned… and no salt and pepper was offered… who knows how long I would have waited to get another chance at a server to actually ask for some. They did have outdoor seating if that is your thing. But plan on spending a full evening here jsu to eat.

I’m a beer snob and this place always has an amazing selection of beer — hence their name. I am in love with their vast beer menu and their patio(dog friendly!). The food is pricey for pub grub, so def check out happy hour. Trivia night is Mondays and a ton of fun. You can win booze and other prizes!

Great bar with an amazing beer selection. They offer different types of beer flights and our bartender still let us sample a bunch. Thanks CJ(Charles)… for leaving Wess as our bartender(who claimed his name was CJ because he’s a liar)! He claims he’s awesome but it’s questionable at the moment… Will definitely come back on my next visit to B’more. Ended up getting the mixed draught, the batmobile, which was really good.

Absolutely insane beer selection. Had a blueberry summer ale with real blueberries. Also had a turkey club on a cheddar roll.

A+ on their selection. I’d say it’s only second to Max’s in town. And the service was great. The food could be a bit more varied. It’s primarily pub food. But I think expanding the options for food might be a good idea.

Warning this bar has NOLIQUOR! I get that it’s a ‘beer bar’ concept but to not even have a couple rail bottles is just absurd. I’d complement the bartenders but you do nothing but pour drafts you’re not really a bartender are you? To top it off their beer list was not alphabetized like the list at the FAR superior Max’s Taphouse in Fells Point. I had to look in 4 different spots to find out which DOGFISHHEAD beers they had and even worse it actually featured Corona Light as one of their microbrews, yes you read that correctly CORONALIGHT I’ll save them from 1 star status since the food was good. But otherwise I can’t believe a ‘bar’ like this even exists.

I don’t remember the beers Andrea served me but she was definitely educated on what they sell! I was definitely in for food too and she recommended the Reuben, which I haven’t had in years… It was awesome and she offered a beer that actually fit with the sandwich! It was a slow day at WOB but my guest and I stayed because the service was just that good! Will return again soon. Thanks Andrea!

I love WOB, just not this place. Service was terrible. The girl behind the bar was too busy texting and talking to other patrons instead of coming and giving me my first beer. When that was almost done, i had 1 more sip left, she walked by 3 times without asking if I was ok or need another one. Love the beer, just not this WOB.

First time coming to a WOB. Had seen and heard a little bit about the place before, so I had been meaning to give it a try. I am a huge fan of microbrews and they have a gigantic selection of beers on tap. The staff there is very knowledgeable about beer and will help you pick something you may like. They will also give you samples to try out so you don’t have to worry about buying something you don’t like. I love the fact that they change up their beer list. I always like to try something new. I would not recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t like beer. But who would go there expecting anything but great beer? The décor is just like any of the other sports bars out there. Plenty of tvs and beer signs along the walls. The noise level is moderate but that probably depends on the night and the games on tv. I only ordered the bratwurst sliders and tater tots. Both are good but I have had better. Come for the beer!

I am not a huge fan of chains — but when it comes to watching sports — especially not the local teams, they seem to be the best choice. CJ over at World of Beer has been incredibly responsive and accommodating for my alumni group to watch our football. They have a ton of large TVs and offer tons of games. Now, anyone who knows me knows I can talk for days about football — but, this blog is about the food. IMG_2226They have great happy hour specials — $ 1 off drafts and $ 5 food specials — including this ginormous pretzel with 5 choices of dipping sauces. It’s a soft pretzel — soft bread with glazed and salted crispy crust. I got the honey mustard and the spicy mustard and the beer cheese. The honey mustard was by far my favorite. The beer cheese was quite disappointing — it’s kind of nacho cheesy style — with some peppers — but it has absolutely no flavor — no spice, no cheese notes, no beer taste… Not sure why anyone would pay an extra $ 1.50 for it. I will definitely order this again, as long as I have someone to share it with — this picture does not do the size of this pretzel justice. That same beer cheese is the reason I also suggest you skip the tater tots. Once again, not much flavor in the beer cheese, the sour cream is really not necessary and kind of unappetizing. Plus the tater tots are so uninspired, the bacon and jalapeños(which are not pickled) don’t really make the dish any better. Truth is — the food here is quite good — including this fantastic Pint of Bacon. It is exactly what it sounds like — a pint glass full of bacon. The folks here take thick cut bacon and cover it with brown sugar and spices so that it has a little bit of a crusty glaze. I like to add a little more sweetness and get a little maple syrup for a dipping sauce. Plus, there is plenty to share with all of your friends. I also really enjoyed these cute little sliders. They are made with a bratwurst that is infused with Guiness beer and topped with Dijon mustard and caramelized peppers and onions. Plus, they have these tiny pretzel buns that are warmed and add just the perfect amount of sweetness to the sausage. You can get these with tots as I did, or with a kale and apple cole slaw or garbanzo and edamame bean salad. A few of my friends have tried the cole slaw and are big fans of the tangy and crispy apples combined with the small bites of kale. There were also no complaints about any of the flat bread — we had the half portion on special. Our group tried the Chipotle BBQ Chicken(shown here) and also the Margherita, which came with a perfectly nutty pesto. In fact, there were many glowing recommendations for the mac and cheese and a few beer pairing suggestions. As for the beer at this place — they have about 60 or so different draft beers. They range in price and alcoholic beverage content — so please be careful. They also change very regularly — the menu is printed daily, so you might not always be able to find the same beer week after week.

The servers undergo an extensive 2 week training course and taste most of the beers and all of the food! We’ve had mostly great experience with the servers and bartenders(but also had quite the angry/unhelpful dud of a waitress last night, so it does vary) The rotating draft menu has a great range of beers(some imports, mostly domestics). I love that the support local breweries(typically have Brewer’s Art on draft) and love the range of the selections. they also have ciders on draft. They also have ~5 white and ~5 red wine choices but no full bar /no hard liquor. The food is hit or miss(but more miss than hit). The Black and Tan onion ring batter is amazingly flavorful and my favorite food item so far. The margherita flatbread came our horribly burned to a crisp. Our waitress was extremely accommodating and acknowledged this, so we ordered the shrimp instead. It was a decent attempt at some sort of fried shrimp dish but I will be sticking with the onion rings in the future.(and will avoid flatbreads like the plague). The hummus tastes like they bought it from Harris Teeter but i did enjoy the fried pickles(umm, it’s fried pickes. who wouldn’t like it?) The huge pretzel looks impressive but is sadly overwhelmed and drenched in butter. So far it’s a 3.5 stars but would be 4 if the service was consistently good and the food was better. This place is 1000 times better than the Greene Turtle next to it(with their well known not-so-nice bartender) and may drive it out of business(!)
