Went with my gf and we had a ball! Bento boxes and spicy salmon rolls were to die for! Bottle of coconut lemongrass Nigori sake between to two of us was trouble lol but amazing! Will definitely visit there again and frequently!

Umi Sake is what I would call our fall back sushi joint, for when we don’t want to wait forever at Shoyu or go over to Fed Hill for one of our go-to sushi places. They have a few speciality rolls that are solid 4 stars, but there a couple rolls like the Ravens roll that should earn them a negative star. With that said portion size is good, especially on the Sake Don(salmon sashimi on top of sushi rice). The sushi chefs are quick and efficient. Wait staff can be slow, sitting at the bar usually guarantees you a little faster service.

The ambiance here is quite nice. The service is very good, and the food is as well. I got an order of nigiri sushi(salmon). I find this is a great way to gauge how good the sushi or sashimi will be. The salmon was good, but not the best I have ever had. Presentation could have been better, but it was not horrible. The cooked dishes my love and I chose were very good. Subtle flavors that were so delicious, and well done. Spices can be the key, or the demise of any dish, but particularly eastern dishes. The food was delicious. I would recommend this place for dinner. I am pretty picky on sashimi and nigiri sushi, and I was not blown away with it, but it will do in a craving pinch.

Kinda sad cuz this place is abandoned on a Saturday night, only customers are at bar and appear related to the hostess. don’t see it surviving. Sushi is solid and we take my kid here during happy hour for great prices on the rolls.

Terrible experience, I don’t even know where to begin… Sushi were poor quality(though uni and hirame were ok). Wontons from the wonton soup have wayyyy too thick of the skin to be cooked fully, and even the hot sake, whose name should be changed to the«not-even-lukewarm-sake». My one star goes to the cozy décor.

I love that this location is off the beaten path, They have great lunch specials and a great place to watch sports events. They have a fully stocked bar and a NICE staff. You should check them out.

I liked this place — great service, nice lunch specials. I’ve tried a hot dish and the sushi, and both were tasty. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, and frequently has a number of tables filled, though I have never seen it packed(which helps them, as it allows for better service). I give it 4 stars because, although the food was tasty, it was really nothing special. This place is good and convenient, but comes in as average when compared to some other Baltimore sushi restaurants

Best sushi in SoBo! Portions are big, fish is very fresh. Wish they did the Sunday brunch like the Timonium location does!

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere! Everything is very reasonably priced and you get a ton of food for what you pay. The service was very attentive and quick! You should definitely check this place out! Delicious sushi and entrees!

Gorgeous and delicious sushi! It was a Monday night so the restaurant was on the empty side, but it was very pretty inside and looked like it would be a good spot on weekends for a night out. We had very attentive service. Sushi is definitely inventive. it was a large menu and we had trouble deciding. However every roll we ordered was a work of art– and tasted fantastic. Will definitely be back.

Excellent sushi and service. Lunch specials are a great deal as well. Free parking in Harris Teeter garage but remember to pay meters if you’re parked on whetstone way.

I tried this for the first time a week ago and I was quite pleased! Ambiance: Beautiful. It’s a really modern and cool place! Food: I ordered the chirashi sushi entrée and I was good, but I wish there were more veggies on there or something besides just rice and fish. My uncle ordered their sashi platter that came with a tuna roll and it was good also. The check(without tip) ended up only being around $ 60! WOW! Much cheaper than I’m used to! Service: Really nice kids. I live right upstairs so I will be coming back soon for more!

We ordered the Peking duck and some sushi. Actually, it’s American style Asia food. All in all, it’s OK though.

Have been getting a lot of takeout sushi from Uni Sake and am impressed with the size of the rolls and Nigiri. Definitely good bang for your buck. The white tuna and salmon nigiri are highly recommended. The Eel portions are generous but it is very fatty. Upgrade to four stars!

Decent lunch menu. Huge portions when you choose the rolls. The bento box is also a great option. Plenty of seating and easy to park.

Wow this place is 10 out of 10!!! Their sushi is out of this world. I’ve had sushi platters that range from $ 60-$ 140 and those do NOT beat the quality of this sushi. I love the D-5 roll, as recommended by my attentive waitress, and the 8 is enough sushi entrée. — D-5 includes eel, salmon, avocado, cucumber and is topped with tuna, eel sauce, and spicy mayo($ 13.95) — 8 is enough includes a variety of 8 sushi pieces chosen by chef selection($ 11) They have awesome deals for lunch specials and happy hour too! Will most definitely be coming back!

I can’t believe this place has any ratings below 4 stars! This place is MILESAHEAD of any sushi place in Fed Hill. Shoyou sushi on Light street has a 4.5 on Unilocal and the last time I ordered from there it was Un-stomachable… Umi Sake Row, as this location is called, is a little pricey but absolutely worth it. Their ingredients are better quality, fresher and in good portions. The atmosphere and décor is way better than the other sushi bars downtown, great for a date. And every time I have come, it has been excellent, speedy service. I started this review when I ordered my entrée, and guess what: it’s already in front of me!

Our waiter was very awkward but very nice. That is where the compliments end. The food was just average and their menu is too big to be focused enough to be a sushi joint. The price is far too high and they have too large of a space to last very long in the expensive real estate of McHenry Row. If you were in the Red Parrot prior it is the same exact setup. Dinner for 4 with drinks was ~$ 120.
