Loved this place! I had a Rueben, was excellent. Very friendly service. Owner was very sweet, had a very nice visit. So glad this was our first stop in Maine.

Good little shop for sandwiches. We both made our own sandwich with the foccacia and it was a solid and hearty lunch. Owner was friendly too! He gave us a small tour of his ‘kitchen’ and also gave us some Irish soda bread while we waited.

Came here after reading good reviews and so glad we did! Great sammiches on baked on site bread, delicious homemade soups and just about the sweetest owner ever. Highly recommended for good takeout.

Great place! Great sandwiches and the people are even nicer! Might be a little wait during prime lunch hours but that’s because they are actually making ever sandwich fresh. Perfect little lunch spot. Prices are very affordable.

I love the sandwiches here! Service is a bit slower, but as the saying goes, «good things come to those who wait!». If you want fast and don’t care about quality, go to subway. The sandwiches here are made with care and come on homemade bread, which is delicious on its own! The staff is wonderful, very friendly and willing to make alterations to your sandwich if needed. I’ve loved every sandwich I’ve tried here, so I don’t think you can go wrong at O’Donnells!

Just the nicest people, most insanely light and tender homemade bread, and delicious sandwiches! Everybody who came in the door knew each other’s names. We stopped here on the way to Acadia and found out the owner, Bruce, used to be a contractor & built the National Park visitors center! We also had our first Moxie soda here, a rite of passage for New England travelers. Wander in to O’Donnells and sit a while.

My family and I just stopped here while traveling from ME to NH. We aren’t familiar with the area and just happened across O’Donells. So glad we did! We all loved our sandwiches. The bread is the real star– the focaccia in my sandwich was soft and obviously fresh. That’s because they make their own bread!!! Wow. Definitely the best focaccia I’ve ever had. The owner is friendly and they put the sandwiches together with care. Very nice service. Plus the prices were reasonable– on par with Subway I believe, but no other comparison! This place is a gem.

Stopped by here on my drive home from Bar Harbor. Looks like a hole in the wall, but it was a great find. I went with the«Walt Disney» turkey sandwich with homemade focaccia. The foccacia was amazing and made the sandwich. My wife tried the corned beef also with the foccacia and raved about it. The staff is also very accommodating. Can’t go wrong here.

What a great experience we had here! This is a family owned shop. They bake fresh bread daily for their sandwiches and subs. They are so personable and make you feel at home! I highly recommend this shop! Made our day! The food was great cooked to order! We were visiting my husbands mother’s hometown. The owner brought out a yearbook to see if we could find his mom. He also pointed out the directions to her high school. What amazing people. Thank you

Slow service but the sandwich is worth it. Made to order and fresh baked bread. Still getting used to the meat being on top of the bread at sub shops out here but still tastes great! Good deal for what you get!

Excellent sandwiches made to order with delicious home-made ingredients such as pesto and red-onion jam. Top-quality ingredients and imaginative recipes make fantastic sandwiches. Everything on the menu sounds great. We had turkey and cheese sandwiches with guacamole, red onion jam, roasted green peppers and a turkey and cheese with home made pesto and roasted red peppers. Both were outstanding. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

Delicious sandwiches made to order on freshly baked bread. It’s hard to beat that! Service can be a little slow, but it’s worth the wait. Also, menu is small, but I’d rate the sandwiches among the best I’ve had in Bangor.
