My wife and I decided to eat inside and everything was terrible. We waited forever with nobody in the place. Philly Cheese grinder was deflated. Small french fry for $ 2.95 gave me about 10 fries. Bruschetta was swimming in oil and salt. Cannoli drenched in Hershey syrup. Steer clear. Best food in Winsted is Marios Tuscany Grill.

Don’t waste your time or money with this place. Placed an order (this alone was a HUGE challenge over the phone). They are forever apologizing for «new help» — I wonder why that is? We were told 20 minutes for pick up — 35 minutes later we stood in the lobby — waiting, waiting, waiting! They were not busy at all! Food was bad. Buffalo tenders tasted more like a greasy dish! Fried Mozzarella? Farthest thing from fresh. We ordered salads — one was a chef that stated it came with egg — NO EGG! This place fell short on many levels! A few years ago it was much better. Not so much so today!

Worst place to eat. Don’t waste your money or time. My last desperate call was for delivery about a month ago and everything sent to my door was rock hard and damn near impossible to eat.

Something’s different from the last time I was here. Could be a new owner under the same business name? The pizza wasn’t the same as it was when I first visited Solo. I ordered the same former pizza but it was a completely different pizza. Not a bad pizza, but very different. The difference between a good restaurant and a great restaurant is its consistency.

I ordered online when I wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t cook. I ordered a small vegetarian pizza with red sauce and a very particular request for no eggplant and also a side antipasto salad. It took an hour to be delivered which is no big deal. They do have a two dollar delivery fee which they don’t tag on to your order until the very end so you don’t know that it really is going to be there. My pizza had fried eggplant on it which is even worse than regular plain eggplant. There was a lot of it and it took a while to pick all of it off which was a disappointment. Otherwise the crust was nice and it was an okay pizza but nothing to write home about. The salad was typical but fresh which is always a plus. I certainly would never crave any of their food, but once in a blue moon when I need delivery maybe I’ll give it another go but only because it seems better than the only other delivery in winsted.
