We usually have our cheap dates at the slice counter of the Montpelier location, where the best pizza north of Brooklyn is served in an atmosphere reminiscent of the pizza parlors we grew up with. The one time we tried the Montpelier restaurant, we were disappointed by the service and the food. The Barre location is a great improvement. Service was slow at first, but the staff were sensitive to this, and brought out drinks order quickly, and were fast to serve once they took our food order. The décor is fun and Sohoish, and the pizza was as good as the slices at the counter.

Just not staff to handle the volume of business. Only one guy making pizza and the orders are backing up. 40 minutes to wait is to long

Definitely recommend the fried Brussel sprouts. This was our first time at a Positive Pie restaurant. I really liked the set up of the place. We went on a Monday around 12pm and was a few people in there. Has full bar area and I enjoyed their draft beer menu and Alyssa was our server. Great service and food. The surrounding area of the town is nice place to walk around as well.

Don’t usually have issues at the Montpelier location but Barre should be avoided at this time(Spring ’16). Why? Service is terrible and depressingly slow, even in the daytime. You will wait forever and have little chance to eat simultaneously with the others at your table. If that doesn’t bother you, proceed. If it does, go to Montpelier. This isn’t a reflection on the friendliness of the waitstaff. Just, process– and service-wise, something’s not right here. Hope that’s helpful to both customers and proprietors alike.

I have been here many times and have never been disappointed by the experience. The staff is always extremely friendly and service is fairly quick. Then there’s the food. Everything from pizza to pasta has been downright delicious and if you are looking for a perfect dessert, their cheesecake is to die for! The atmosphere is comfortable, the prices are reasonable, and its a great place to take people for a taste of Vermont!

Very casual. TV with the football we wanted to watch. Pizza good. Mussels tasty. Brussels sprouts delicious. Good choice of beers.

1. This restaurant has a cool, modern vibe. 2. Food portions are large enough. 3. Noisy environment. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with bacon. Tasty and enjoyable. It came with a huge serving of french fries…(more than I was willing to eat). Overall, I was surprised and impressed with the cool vibe of the place. You will get a quality meal at Positive Pie. Though be prepared to have poor quality conversations. Nothing absorbs the noise here. The sound waves bounce off of everything. So hearing what your guest(s) are saying will be a struggle. It’s a cool place, though.

I was worried when we got yet another pizza place in town. Positive Pie is so much more! Nothing here has been a disappointment yet. The fried Brussel sprouts are amazing. The granite chicken is juicier than I thought a chunk of chicken could ever be. I love the black bean burgers(with a cilantro pesto) and hand cut fries. If you sign up for their specials via text message you’ll get about a message every week, usually w some sort of pizza special that will save you a ton. The first one I got was $ 15 for three pizzas($ 52 original price!). Despite it being yet another pizza place, the pizza here is actually really good. Thin but chewy crust, New York style. They have an interesting variety of specialty pizzas too. Each night there is a different special too. Monday is ½ price kids meals, making them $ 3.50. The kids pizzas are huge!

Always great, great staff, good local food from local sources. All the prices are fair. With one exception, the wings are tasty, but(in my opinion) a dollar or two over priced. Either way, always my local favorite!

This restaurant just opened in the downtown area in a brand new building on N. Main St. It is number four in a chain of positive pie restaurants and it follows the positive pie recipe of high-quality food, at a relatively good price. The atmosphere is upscale, the food is locally sourced, and a very good quality. The service is excellent and the prices are moderately high as with the other three restaurants. I had a locally sourced hamburger with hand cut fries. It was excellent as was the Vermont raised bacon that was on it. We also ordered the poutine, which I have seen done better but still it was very good. My companions had the carbonera which was beyond excellent! I highly recommend trying this restaurant.
