Decent food and convenient! We came off a day at the lake and stopped in for dinner. Large portions and good prices. Had the fried steak with mashed potatoes and the chicken sandwich. Both were very flavorful and hot! We sat on the patio with our dog and were provided loads of milk bone dog treats and ear scratches. Great friendly staff despite being slammed with large groups. We did get bit by a few mosquitos on the patio. Lemonade was amazing FYI!

First time here, ordered«THEMEAL» 50⁄50. The fries and onion rings were amazing. I feel a bit misled by the double cheeseburger though. The parties were not of equal size.

Stayed at the Forks Campground for Memorial Day weekend(Monday and Tuesday). Our campground was a short walk from The Forks Resort. We went for breakfast on Tuesday after all of the memorial day crowds have gone home. The service was fast, but not too friendly.(That is okay with me). The food was great! We both ordered the french toast.

Great resort and staff! Family owned for many years! Perfect location and vacation getaway for our group of 8 families for Memorial Day week. Robin and Lisa gave us a very generous discount on cabin and boat rentals! Definitely a place worth going back to!

We stayed at the Forks Resort for Memorial Day weekend and had the best experience. Our trip to the area was prompted by a desire to explore Yosemite and Bass Lake is located so close we were able to enjoy a lake weekend while also experiencing Yosemite with ease. We arrived on Friday afternoon and got checked into our cabin quickly with great customer service. The cabin was beautiful and was perfect for our group(2 couples). We had everything we needed in the cabin to cook dinner on our own and we ate at the restaurant for 3 of our meals. The food and the device was incredible and I highly recommend ordering the Forks Burger. We also rented a boat from The Forks and the process was so easy and the rate was great. Overall the service was incredible, everyone was so friendly and helped us decide what we should do when we were visiting Yosemite as well as guided us to the best place to anchor the boat and swim around on our lake day. We will be back!

Love this place when the tourist aren’t in town! Avoid the holiday season when giving this place a try! Otherwise you will be surrounded by intoxicated tourist and their obnoxious children. The restaurant is too small to be stuck in there with that type of company. If possible, just going on a regular Sunday morning/evening. Much more calm and relaxing. Great food and service; beer is ice cold. You can also rent boats, jet skies, kayaks and paddle boards here for farley inexpensive compared to other locations. The equipment is already on the water, so no need to worry about the transportation.

I’ve been coming here for 20+ years but today was the last time. I only came here because my good friend loves it so so much because he spent lots of time here as a kid. Today we ordered food and we’re waiting about 50 minutes so far for two double meals deals served inside-out. Right then they served the two people sitting right next to us at the bar our meals. These people were only there for 5 – 7 minutes. We called BS and They lied and said they ordered at the takeout window. I heard them order from their friend, a young blonde guy that said he will put their order in with the cook. And then he came back right before they brought them food and asked, «Is it ok if the burgers are inside out?» Making it totally transparent that they were in FACT our burgers! Millers landing is a less than a mile down the road and is a delicious healthy alternative with friendly service & atmosphere. A day later I received this from the«blonde kid» that pushed us aside for his friends. I tried to respond privately but he deleted his account so I will put it right here for posterity. Subject: The burger situation «Hey I’m the blond kid that works at the forks there was no ticket from your sever. The burgers you thought where yours where single meals and have totally different bread and Sorry about the misunderstanding it’s still our fault but the sever never put an order in I would know because I make all the food. We went through every ticket that day and didn’t find the one that should have been yours. Sorry you had a bad time but people make mistakes.» To the«blond kid» who responded to the original post: I understand people make mistakes but you are a LIAR. First off, you are not the cook! I heard you tell your friends sitting at the bar right next to us that you could put their order in straight to the cook. Secondly, we had a conversation with another lady about how she was helping out because her Niece is the COOK. You don’t look like a niece! Our burgers were with the same bread, special ordered. You read my post, you know I heard you say«Is it ok if the burgers are inside out?» I know you lied! You just had the cook take one patty off each burger and served it to your friends. You thought it would only take a few minutes to cook a couple more and bring out our order next. You are messing with the cook, the customers, and the business. Your friends should wait like the rest of the customers period! Take responsibility for your actions. I can’t believe you just threw the waitress under the bus for your bad decisions. Please make good choices in the future.

Stopped in here during a poker run. Didn’t even know there was a bar on this side of Bass Lake! Nice bartenders and cold beer. They make a good bloody mary too.

Wonderful stay cabin 9 excellent one bed cabin very romantic nice wood deck with a view of the lake water is low but of course but still plenty of water to kayak and boat and inner tube and swim in. many different beaches now of course because the water is low. A few moarings out there people have left behind that you can use but bring your own anchor + ball just in case very quiet lake so perfect if you want to bring the family cabins at the forks affordable better than staying in Oakhurst and just 30 minutes to the front gate at Yosemite which is where we played for 2 days and just slept here at Bass Lake so perfect vacation, breakfast at the forks patio then hike Yosemite during the day after eat dinner at the forks at night. Rest of the time we just kayaked around the shoreline went over to the pines at lunch motor scooter with us to ride around the lake a bit very fun vacation. The Forks is perfect, would not change a single thing. (side note) some beaches u think u see doggie Dodo on the sand but actually it is goose dodo unpleasant but nature is that way sometimes Beach is still very usable.

Even though their burgers are about the best I have ever had there are some glaring observations that I made after being a 35 year resident of the area and revisiting it after 2 years. They used to serve their milkshakes and give you the extra in the silver can now for $ 4.50 you get a tiny approximately 8 ounce glass with no can. To get two burgers and milkshakes with a salad is $ 40 for just two people. The service was wonderful we sat outside. But honestly it was so sad to see one of the best things has gone to commercialism you can’t tell me they save the shake that is left the canister at least give it to someone and let them think they’re getting their money’s worth.

WOW… What another diamond in the rough. The check in was worth $ 1.00. Our waitress gave us $ 3.00 total. A bunch of great burgers. Fries fresh. chili burger was split into two. great flavor. This place is right across from the famous«DUCEY’S. On the south side of the lake. Do yourself a flavor… Go get some!

As a local, I have been coming here for years as is tradition every summer. I could not be more dissapointed with how downhill the quality seems to get each year. When I was first introduced to The Forks, they had the best burger around here hands down. They were thick, hand packed patties that were juicy and flavorful. Then the owner decided to start cutting corners and ordering frozen patties which were about as thin as burger kings whopper patties and bland as sawdust. Today I decided to give their salads, soup, and chili a shot. Worst $ 20 I’ve ever spent. Their pesto soup is like bland vegetable water, and the salad, which was advertised as grilled chicken on top of a bed of crisp lettuce with bacon bits, tomatoes and blue cheese crumbles, in fact was more like prepackaged salad chicken on iceberg lettuce with tomatoes and super runny ranch dressing. Maybe passable as a side salad, Definately not an $ 11 one. The chili was actually decent. That and the burgers, which are ok, are the only reason they’re getting even two stars. If you want a great burger, go a little further down the lake to Miller’s Landing. It’s a beautiful drive and it’s absolutely worth it. They still understand the meaning of quality. Hopefully the Forks will someday return to their former glory but I’m not holding my breath.

This review is for the restaurant at The Forks Resort only. We needed a place to grab a quick bite before going out on the lake– The Forks restaurant hit the spot. This dining area is pretty small(a patio with about 10 tables), with a golf course type of menu(hamburgers, hot dogs, salads), but is one of the only restaurants we found around the lake, and was exactly what we were looking for. The waitress was super personable and helpful! She helped me narrow down my lunch choices. I picked the Chicken Salad(I can’t remember the name, maybe«California Chicken?», but it had all the ingredients of a Cobb salad, but with chicken– genius!) The clam chowder was alright, nothing to write home about– not clammy enough for my taste. The prices were good for what you got. Will stop by again when I’m in town.

Came here on vacation with friends and after being told that«the meal» was the best thing on the menu. Well she was right! Everyone seemed to be stuffed and the sourdough bread was the best! The meal came with salad and fries! The burger was on sourdough bread, had thousand island, and some ordered it with bacon, best in town. I personally think anything with sourdough bread is the best! Unfortunately, I do have one huge regret… The chicken fried steak! Do not, do not get it. It is not worth it. It isn’t famous either. I personally was expecting a legit chicken fried steak… I sadly got a whole plate of Cfs and a lil splash of mashed potatoes. The gravy was horrible and the breaking was too thin! I also had chili beans and those were delicious. The salad was really fresh and the ranch/blue cheese mix dressing was great! A friend had the taco soup of the day, she didn’t like it… But I thought I was tasty. The service was okay, nothing special. Nothing quick. But regardless go for«the meal» and avoid the chicken fried steak.

Great hamburger with a lake view for lunch. The Forks has a grocery store, too, that is loaded with«stuff» you would need in the mountains, at the lake. Parking can get tight on a weekend, when traffic is heavier.
