Homemade, fresh, delicious. Best tortillas. Affordable. I only wish the best for this little taco company in Bastrop.

The place is situated close to the convention center in downtown Bastrop. In fact coming off 95 or 21 it’s just across the railroad tracks by a laundromat. A coworker of mine said she’d eaten there and raved about the food. In particular the tacos and brisket are her favorites. I made a quick run to the place and was met by a few others with the same idea. The actual cooking goes on in a trailer. There’s a carport with about six picnic tables on top of a concrete slab. Parking is sparse and you must be careful leaving due to traffic and people walking around as was the case for me n Alright so I got there and the people I assume are the owners were a middle-aged man and woman. The man took orders while the lady cooked. They have quite the menu board for a food trailer. Get this they even sell dun dun dun… tamales by the dozen. It appears they’ve established a good rapport with customers, I overheard a few conversations about family betwixt them and said customers. I put my order in and grabbed a seat The tacos are made to order so have patience and make a buddy or not. About ten minutes later my order came up. I got their red and green salsa’s to try. The place accepts cash and credit/debit via square(as of 1.31.16 my visit). I got home and my God the grease on my bag was staggering. If I didn’t know better I would thought something spilled on it. Something did folks… grease! I’m not naïve to think there wouldn’t be grease but it appears the meat wasn’t drained. My Wife and I opened our meals and she dabbed grease off with a few napkins. Her tortillas were soggy so she changed them with some we had. I however opted not to and should have. The grease hit me like a punch in my gut later. Yes we liked the tacos with less grease. The flavors are a good blend and size pretty fair priced. For the first visit it was okay but we hope the grease will be drained. Grease equals more than flavor, it also equals grease and stomach ache. Given time I will return and try different menu items. My Wife enjoyed the green salsa over the red. Nice folks and I see a brick and mortar coming if they want one.

I’m from the valley, and I have been looking for a good Mexican place! Was skeptical at first but had their Barbacoa taco and it was amazing! The salsa is spicy the way it should be. And their home made tortillas hit right home! I’ve only had their breakfast tacos but I can imagine lunch being amazing as well!

Yolis tacos are the best in Bastrop. Its a family run business and it always has lines a mile long. The brisquet served on Saturday and Sunday is outstanding and they are not greedy with their servings. The picadillo taco is great and all the breakfast tacos are affordable and priced right. Try it once and you will be writing the same review
