food + house wares, like a supersized 711. nice staff, cheap gas and a(seasonal) ice cream stand next door. we’re always stopping by, so glad it’s just a couple miles fm Bryce. just wished it had more fresh produce and baked goods.

This place is a life saver. Nice service and supplies you need. Large beer and wine selection. However, not much fresh produce.

The Community Store IS your local community store. Cuz there just taint much else out here in the Basye/Bryce/Orkney Springs area — short of driving back to Mount Jackson! This is your oasis for food, beverages and other stuff you’ll need for the kitchen/bathroom/house. Stopped in here to pick up some stuff for the house I was staying at — at Bryce Resort: aluminum foil, zip loc bags, corned beef hash, bottled water, and other odds and ends. They have lots of other foods, paper goods, wine, beer, and more. You can also get a decent cup of coffee here.

We were visiting the area for the weekend, and after dinner Sat. night we all got a craving: me and the 5 year old– ice cream, husband– wine. Thank goodness this place was right at the bottom of the windy road from our condo! This old country store looked like they had everything. They had a surprisingly large ice cream selection! I was torn, but I finally decided on Ben & Jerry’s Willie Nelson’s Peach Cobbler(and it didn’t disappoint). My son picked a bubblegum popsicle(he’s on a health kick), and my husband found some wine. While we were there, a woman came in a quickly asked for a sewing kit, and the woman behind the counter told her what aisle it was on! I’d like to stay in this place and sit a spell and hear about all the gossip from these parts.
