If you need a calzone in Batavia this is the place to go when I visited my dad in Batavia I used to always get calzones from here fast and efficient delivery and only $ 10 for anything you want in the calzone so if you want a cheap calzone that has good quality then. This was started up in Clarence ny and closed because of location but this was the best one for calzones.

Before we start, this place is not owned by any fake tanned shirtless boys from the Joysey Shore TV show. Nor does it have anything to do with the Pauly Shore. Which is a good thing. There were a lot of cute Jersey-esque people working at the Clarence location, but sadly it closed down. I was Ap-Pauled when I found out. But I still make the drive out to Batavia to get my Pauly’s on, that’s how good it is. One of the best Pizza-n-Wing places in all of WNY, and the real hidden gem: the Chicken Tenders. What to get: Chicken Finger lunch special w/medium wing sauce for the fingers, Pizza-and-wings lunch special. What else: Chicken Fingers w/medium wing sauce, Pizza, Wings, Everything. It’s a crime that this place only has 5 reviews, and that it only has a 3 star average. They are the best place to eat in Batavia, and one of the best in the entire region. There are not many better pizzerias in the entire country, believe me. Yes, Main St Pizza is excellent, but this place is better… maybe not the slices, but everything else. Did I mention the Chicken Fingers? Pauly’s, man. Wow. It’s so good they’re considering renaming Batavia as «Bataviapolis», and pronouncing the«Polis» part«Paulys.» Not even kidding. (OK, kidding).(But it is that good).(Trust me).(Get the Chicken Fingers). This was originally my review for the second location which opened up in Clarence, right next to my house, and rocked my world for a year or two… before it sadly closed down(I blame Mazia’s, as do the rumours… I also blame people’s bad taste). I can’t say enough about Pauly’s, really. It’s one of the best things that ever happened to the Batavia dining scene. They are just out of this world, and I thank the Gods of Batavia that they exist. What you should order from here if you only order one thing, are their breaded chicken tenders, with wing sauce instead of hot sauce. O. M. G. So good. Service is pretty good. Pauly is warm and friendly and really into his food and his products. Some of the other employees are more abrupt, but that’s okay — you’re here for the food, not for the service. And it’s pretty damn good service most of the time anyway. We’ll start with the Pizza. It’s a combo of Buffalo, NYC and Rochester style, and is amazing. It’s not sweet, the crust is always delicious, and when it’s hot and fresh it’s very hard to beat. Their white Pizza with homemade Garlic sauce is also divine, and their Steak Pizza is absolutely delicious. The crust is the star of the show… it’s a little flourier than a lot of Buffalo pizzas, a little more dry but extremely delicious. I love it. The wings. Awesome. My only complaint is that they tend to send their wings dry, for delivery you’ll likely get them this way. Ask for«extra saucy» and sometimes, they’ll absolutely nailed it and give you wings drowning in delicious medium Buffalo sauce… so check your order before you leave. But let’s focus on the positives. Some of the best wings I’ve ever had. Close to the lofty levels of Zip’s and Imperial. Their wings are truly delicious… highly recommended. Sadly they don’t make the Garbage Plate that the now-closed Clarence location did. It was as good as Wimpy and Tahou’s in Rochester, although it tasted different, in a good way. I hope they bring it back soon because it was amazing! But very bad for you. Even their fries are pretty good when dipped in medium wing sauce… and I don’t even like American fries. Best item? Their chicken fingers are in a class by themselves. Most places in WNY just take frozen chicken patties, grill them and then toss them in Buffalo sauce. Not Pauly’s. These tenders are handmade, never frozen, and utterly spectacular at that. They’re not even tossed in sauce. The sauce comes on the side. So deliciously breaded and thick and juicy, they are probably the best I’ve ever had. The only chicken this juicy and heavenly and thick and divine, is the Buttermilk Fried Chicken at the Moose Lodge Café in Asheville, NC, which is the best on earth and worth driving a thousand miles for, so that says a lot about this chicken, now, doesn’t it? I finally tried their Calzone, and while it wasn’t half bad, it also wasn’t the best or juiciest Calzone I ever had, but you can’t have everything, so I recommend trying all of the aforementioned stuff before you try one of those. The good thing about the Calzone is, though, that you can add as many stuffing ingredients as you like for free, the bad thing is, they’re not overly generous with the portions of stuff inside. Anyway, I can’t say enough good stuff about Pauly’s. Even if it’s a long drive, get down here for the wings, for the pizza, but most of all, *get these chicken fingers*! Don’t forget to ask for medium wing sauce with them, to dip them in. Amazing. And I’m glad it’s called Pauly’s and not Pollen’s, because then I might be allergic to it. Thankfully, it’s not, and I’m not. Achoo.

Wow — what a great find!!! We stopped here on our long drive to Niagra Falls. We are pizza snobs and were, to be honest, not expecting much. We were blown away. Pizza was excellent — perfect crust and the right amount of sauce and cheese. The fried dough we had for dessert was amazing as well. In addition Pauly and the rest of his staff are just the nicest people. Overall a 5 Star experience. I would be a regular if I lived in the area. And by the way — this is the first time I have ever posted on Unilocal!which should show how sincere I am.

Great Food, Great Service and Great Prices… I have eaten there 3x and have yet to have a complaint about anything. Trust me I’m a complainer!!! Fresh never frozen Chicken Finger Sub with hand cut fries was the best I have ever tasted … I asked for my pizza thin crusted and came out perfect… Wings were large and cooked to perfection. Give it a try!

Cheap and not so good. The meat on the cheese steak and the cheese burger is indistinguishable. Seems like both use an excess of TVP. The lettuce on the cheese burger was brown. I do not recommend this to anyone, no matter how hungry.

So, Mom rented the car — and I’m not supposed to drive it. I’m stuck in a hotel in Batavia, NY. She’s sleeping. I’m hungry. What do I do? I turn over the cable guide in the hotel room, and see PAULY’s PIZZERIA, and its entire menu. I salivated. I phoned them, and ordered mozzarella sticks and marinara… and yes, I know its piggish, but I did order a double order of HOT buffalo wings. How can you be in Western New York, and not get wings? I mean, this is where they were friggen born! 40 minutes later, they arrived. Piping hot. While they didn’t include napkins with the order, I can’t fault them. I ended up using a washcloth from the stack they left in the hotel room. Isn’t that what they are meant for anyway? The wings made me sweat — and my nose run. Which means they were made correctly. The wings were crispy and NOT chewy(which is gross to have chewy chicken wings). They nailed the hot sauce. Plus the delivery guy was super nice. Pauly’s is new to me, it didn’t exist when I lived back home. When and if I ever go back — I’m totally going to Pauly’s for wings. mmmmmmmmmm. Make me sweat baby.
