Hubby and I came the Friday before Valentine’s Day, and had reservations for 7PM. We were seated promptly. The service was OK, but our server was rushed. Unfortunately his filet and my seafood pasta were just OK, and especially salty. We had mediocre Caesar salads drowned in bland dressing. This was our third time here in 6 years, and we won’t be back. At these prices, we expect better food and service than just OK.

The food is very good and service outstanding. Bar area is great for sitting or dining as there are four tops in the bar area. Private room can be scheduled for events. The menu has a good variety and there are always specials available.

I just got back from the worst experience ever in ANY eating establishment. We were seated promptly, as we had an 8pm reservation then the experience went south quickly. The place was busy so I was prepared for some delays but what happened next is unexceptionable. It took 10 – 15 minutes to ORDER an ice tea, lemonade and glass of wine then another 10 to receive the simple drink order. We sat there like idiots in the interim drinking water and eating the complimentary bread. Additional bread was offered but never showed up. About a half hour into the experience we received our barely warm appetizers WITHOUT plates to eat off of. I guess eating out of a trough is the expectation. I spoke with our server Pamela and expressed my displeasure hoping it would change something. Her reply was«…I know. This is not how I wanted tonight to go either». She also mentioned she spoke with the owner… about what I am not sure. One HOUR into the«meal» our salads had not even shown up. At this time I had enough. I asked for my food to be boxed up along with a check. She promptly returned with our salads explaining that it would take a while to get our order boxed up. In an effort to not make a scene I excuses myself from the table leaving my credit card with my girlfriend and her daughter to pay and receive our boxed food. On the way out the door I swung by the front desk where three hostesses were standing. I told them that it was the worst experience I have ever had. One of the teenagers literally laughed as I walked out the door. $ 110 later, I am too pissed off to eat the trash they sent me home with. They didn’t even comp a single item for admittedly providing terrible service. I have never walked out on a meal anywhere at anytime. Nor have I ever not tipped. I guess I can’t say that. What I can say is… you are a fool if you go to this overpriced $h!t show. **shortly after I walked out, the party behind us cancelled their order entirely.

Great wine list and delicious food! We come here often and always try new menu items. They have nice seasonal cocktail selections too.

One of two restaurants in Batavia that has never let me down… this is my go-to place for steak, and my wife loves their seasonal Pumpkin Ravioli!

I had ribeye and my husband had chicken parm. Both meals were inedible. We sent it back and gave the remainder of a gift card we had to another table. they couldn’t pay us to come back.

We were there Saturday evening for dinner with friends. We met in the bar, it took 15 minutes for a drink for 5 of us, we were never even acknowledged! That was the only disappointment. Our dining service was great! Our group ordered a nice variety off the menu, and everyone was happy! I had a Penne Pasta with vodka sauce and sausage that was fantastic and a plentiful portion! In fairness to the Bartender, they seemed to be understaffed as a second person came back to assist. The bar was not crowded, but dining room was pretty full and backing everything up. If we were only rating food, would give them a 4 star for sure!

My wife and I hadn’t been to Tribella in years. My first impression walking up was the building looked like it hasn’t been maintained since it opened. The paint was faded and the lights around the building looked aweful and worn out. There were dead bugs in the light above the turnstyle door opening. The entrance looked like a worn out city bar not a classic restaurant. The interior appeared clean but, hasnt been updated since first opening. The prices in the menu were that of a quality, maintained restaurant. Our server seemed like she was irritated the minute she met with us. Our salad was drenched in dressing and the food came out less than 5 minutes after our salad. I ordered 2 Stella beers, the first one came out in the Stella glass, the second in a pint glass. The server said they ran out of glasses and could wash my current glass. I looked around and didnt see anyone else drinking Stella. The menu had $ 39.00 steaks but the bus service employees wore baseball caps! Save your money and go to the Turf room for a quality meal or heck TGIF’s for that matter.

Great atmosphere and good service. The eggplant Parmesan is fantastic! We went on a Saturday night and got right in. The restaurant was full but didn’t seen loud or crowded. They often feature coupons in Clipper magazine which is nice. We also were able to find the $ 10off coupon online since we left ours at home.

Having gone through a significant life change(brain cancer) since my last review, I need to comment on the hospitality of the hosting staff, who don’t seem to give a care about people who are willing to wait for a table because they like the food. But it bothers me to no end that I stood here for over a half hour tonight, with a man who used a walker standing diagonal from me for at least 20 minutes, and neither of us(he more clearly in need than I(I only had a bandage on my head from brain surgery) were asked if we would like a chair to sit down. How this place hires people who just watch people in obvious discomfort or medical need of a place to sit while waiting, and doesn’t even bother to offer them a chair when there is literally a free chair about 5 feet from the host stand(but underneath the wine cabinet, so nobody can sit in it unless they’re a Chihuahua), is beyond me. They had an entire party room *full* of empty tables and chairs, as well. I’m not even exaggerating. That’s why this bothers me so much. That’s just bad manners. I’m sure the food will be great as always, but I now don’t view this place as favorably as I did before I saw them not offer a chair at least to the man with the walker. How rude!

Have been a customer for years but only eat out at high end places few times a year with spouse and or friends. Tribella has always been a top choice. Drinks and/or dining on the screened in patio is wonderful… weather allowing! Lovely atmosphere and not as loud as one reviewer said… we hate loud restaurants! Most recent visit to celebrate a birthday was very pleasant made even more enjoyable by having our(everybody’s) favorite server«Elvia»…if you’re on the conservative side… don’t request her… ALL the servers are extremely good… let Elvia entertain her adoring fans! lol! On the negative side… portions seem to have been cut, but are still very plentiful. Was a little disappointed in quality and number of shrimp in my pasta… and pieces of asparagus were hard to find in my dish! Also, my all-time favorite«shrimp oreganato» is no longer prepared in escargot dish… and no longer has lots of butter to dip bread in. I can make same at home, therefore will not order again… dinner mates noticed proportions being smaller also. Manager/owner?(female) was very hands on and no complaints… which is contrary to rumors I’ve heard about male owner being arrogant. With the STIFF competition in Batavia these days… Tribella needs to up its game to stay on top!

Service was excellent. Calamari fresh and tender. Salads were crispy and served on chilled plates. Pasta dishes were delicious.

Year in and year out, this has been one of our favorite Tri-Cities restaurants. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, the wait staff knowledgeable and friendly, and the food above average to excellent. It’s amazing how consistent Tribella is, too: a sign of good management. Some of their entrees are better than others. I’d stay away from the steaks — pricey and not exceptional. The salmon, veal marsala(when on the menu) and pasta dishes are great. The bar, though compact, is friendly and a fine place to hang out and watch a football game, etc.

I just threw my mom a surprise birthday party last night! I’m not a review writer but we had such a great experience that I felt the need to! We used the private room and the décor was really nice, very classy. The food was amazing, we had an appetizer party but there was enough of a variation that no one left hungry and we actually had food to take home! Yay. All of our guests kept complimenting the food and wait staff. We had 2 servers and they were amazing! Extremely attentive! We never had to wait for anything… I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I would absolutely recommend hosting a party there! Now I can’t wait to go back for dinner date with my husband!

We recently rented out the private party room for a wedding rehearsal dinner. It was nicely furnished and suited our needs. The event planner even made it so we could set up a slideshow which was nice. The personalized menus were nice touch and the staff was attentive. I give it three stars because I thought the food was just alright. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had.

Step back into an upscale, quiet, off the main drag(route 31:) delicious old school Italian restaurant in Batavia. I have no idea how they stay in busyness, but the food IS good and the bar is FULL. My parents like this overpriced place, so I take them here whenever I feel like showing them how many credit cards I have(they don’t know WHY anyone would have more than one), and how successful I must to be to have more than four. Dark, but the Fox Valley wiseguys like it that way. Maybe this is the reincarnation of that hidden Al Capone joint, The Hideaway, near Elgin? Nobody knows where this place is either. Try it. Bring credit cards.

Overall impression: Overpriced. Below average food. Below average service. I was very disappointed. My boyfriend and I live nearby, so we came in without reservations on a Saturday night around 8:30 p.m. The restaurant has a lot of seating, and we did not have to wait. Our waitress did not come over for quite some time, but the bus boy gave us water and bread with olive oil and parmesan. Eventually our waitress greeted us. She was friendly but not very knowledgable about the menu. We asked a couple of basic questions and she had to go check. Even after checking she gave us the wrong information. For example, BF asked how much a domestic beer was, she said she’d go check, comes back and says $ 2.75, but he was charged $ 3.75. I ordered a glass of Merlot($ 6.50). On to the food. Our same bus boy brought our food.(Now that I think about it, I should have split the tip between the waitress and busboy). BF ordered the special, blackened salmon($ 21) over a creamy spinach and served with garlic whipped potatoes. I ordered the linguini with meatballs and red sauce($ 15) and a side caesar salad(approx. $ 3). The salmon had a nice crust on it, but blackened should not mean burnt. The salmon was very overcooked. The garlic whipped potatoes were gritty, as in the kind of texture you might get when you use a box mix. Yuck. My pasta was SO hot I couldn’t eat it for five minutes(under the warmer a little too long maybe?). I wasn’t offered fresh parm, so I had to scoop some out of the little dish for the bread. I also had to ask for more sauce because there was hardly any on mine. My plate in general was nothing special. I’ve made better at home. We won’t be back.

Way OVERPRICED for extremely average food. My $ 31 New York strip steak was tasteless. My request for no butter on my broccoli was denied. I did not enjoy my $ 3 iced tea that came out of a Pepsi fountain– blah. My daughter’s $ 15 pasta dish was overpowered with garlic. Our waiter was just lousy. I won’t be back!

Average food & service. We went for dinner and the place was pretty empty. We had the tortellini con pana($ 16) and the New York strip steak($ 30). I liked the portions to the pasta, and it tasted good, but I couldn’t taste the chicken at all unfortunately. The steak was average, nothing memorable.
