I used to really enjoy coming here and have been a fan since they first opened this location. Lately things have really gone downhill and fast. I went yesterday with someone who had not been to this location figured it would be a great experience. Wrong. Was probably one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had at a restaurant/bar. First we asked about the specials and what they were featuring, was told you call its for the blackhawks game and some beer in a large 32 oz mug. Well we came there based upon what the face book page had said, smoked beef brisket, beef brisket sliders and ½ price off of beer, wine and certain drinks. So when I mentioned this to the waitress she said no that is not our special we changed our menu weeks ago. So I kinndly replied well let me show you Crosstowns post from 5 hours earlier on facebook which specifically said exactly what we read and what drove us to come in. She said let me check with my manager, we were fine with that. She came back and said well you have a few minutes that special is from 3 – 5 and we did not have brisket we had wings and are out of them(funny thing about this the manager later told me well we would not have brisket because our manager is off this weekend and that is his job) Said ok what kind of beer on special? Only a few certain ones, ok I said can you share which ones? I do not know really not sure. I said ok heck with that I will get a drink which we both did. The drink came back in a pint glass and tasted horrible, after 5 minutes of trying to drink it I mention it and the manager comes over. He says sorry about the confusion and issues with everything so far these are on me. Said great but this one tastes bad. He went back and confirmed sorry our soda ware is flat and bad. Ok let me try this beer instead. He goes back sorry we are out of this one. OK now this is getting really funny, well I say it is listed on your paper menu and beer menu’s dot com what gives? Oh we have not updated it(duh obviously). Fine I will take another drink gave an order and that one came back fine. We decided on some food ordered wings which are usually great. Had a cole slaw and chilli. Person with me asked for tabasco they were out of it(go figure a wing place out of tabasco ok fine). Cole slaw was very good. Let’s get to the wings the flavor was great however we ordered 10 and out of 10 wings there were only 2 drums. Found that really strange as in the past I have had wings they were half and half(flappers and drums 5 each). Asked waitress who by the way was a new one due to shift change although the other waitress was still waiting on tables in our section — whatever. Getting back to the wings the new waitress who we ordered the wings from said oh you could ask for drums only? I was like ok but I ordered 10 wings and have had these before and usually they are half and half. She said oh yeah not really sure. By this time i was getting more and more frustrated and at the same time we were laughing because you cannot script this kind of stuff out. It gets better. We eat a few wings each and I say let’s get out of here and go to turf room or bulldogs down the road. This is a joke and everything so far has worked out and we wanted to catch up and stop worrying about issues like this. We ask for the bill. Bill comes and remember those first drinks we ordered. Well they were u call it special however since the first waitress made them tall(we never asked) she charged extra for that. Great way to get a little extra money out of a special. Remember my drink that was horrible and had flat soda water well it was on bill when it was free from manager and I did not drink it and switched it with something else. A comedy of continued errors, false advertising, wait staff not educated on specials or what they have/dont have, quality of items and food poor, billing inaccurate and added things that were not ordered(IE tall drink). Bottom line I will not be back here again. Wish things were different but there are so many other places around this area to go to(bulldogs, nobel house, south moon bbq montgomery, turf room) and more places coming everyday.

Rattle snake bites will change your life. Experiment with all of the sauces and dry rubs. PB&J wings? They were awesome. A lot of beer options as well if you are into craft beer.

I hate writing this based off of customer service, but quite frankly I’m pretty aggravated with Crosstown. My wife and I have ordered food from them before. The wings are great. I can’t complain, they are big wings and the sauces we have tried have been great. This review is based off of our recent visit to Crosstown. For the Super Bowl, we ordered some wings for pick up. We ordered 2 days before because we knew it would be busy. The day of the Super Bowl the restaurant confirmed our order which was fine and then asked if we wanted to pre-pay which we said sure. It made it easy to pick up the wings then. Time came to get the wings. It was a literal s#!%show inside with the servers working the main counter literally walking all over the restaurant and not greeting or talking to customers. There were two people in front of me and they continually ignored people and would leave the front unattended. My turn came up and they got my wings. Asked for my credit card and I said I had pre-paid, girl said they didn’t have my credit card so they ran it again. I’m fine with that-they are providing a service and overall it’s always been fine. Wings were good and everything seem fine. Two days later my AmEx is charged twice for the wings. The amounts are different, one is for sure my order the other charge I have no idea where it came from. Called the restaurant and spoke with Sherry(Spelling?). She was sweet and took my info down and said her GM would call back. GM calls back and he can find the one charge that is mine in his credit card charges, but my second charge he can’t find at all. He said he couldn’t do anything and I’m now dealing with AmEx. Thankfully, AmEx is usually pretty great with customer service unlike Crosstown. My advice, if you are paying cash you are all good. Wings are great. If you are paying credit, be careful because they will screw you.

I’ve been to Crosstown a few times now. Food is good and staff is always friendly. Highly recommend.

The food is great, just as good as Naperville. But the wait was horrribleeee! It took the waitress 25 minute for a drinks! And then an extra 15 to get our order. She even paid for my beer because she acknowledged how long it took her. I don’t think it was her fault, she was great but I’m not sure what the hold up is here.

They’ve got a decent menu here. Went for the Baja Club which was ‘ok’, but I didn’t care for the candied bacon. Club sandwiches should always be salty, never sweet. They have a rotating beer selection which is decent. but the way they divy up beer styles on the menu 3−4x made zero sense. Put your IPAs together, Porters together, etc. My sons pizza was bonfide cardboard and our table service was rushed to put it nicely. I didn’t care for adding my tip to the tablet bill as our server stood over my shoulder either. In the end this place is overpriced, the food isn’t great, and there’s nothing forgiving about the ambience(or lack there of). Can’t see a second trip in the works.

Really friendly staff and really delicious food. You have to try the pretzel it will feed an army and if I could eat one every day and not wait five thousand pounds I would.

Update 12÷28÷15: While the wait staff was very friendly, we left disappointed. Ordered a beer, they were out. Ordered wings, they were out. Ordered waffle fries, they were out. I’m pretty sure this is a place known for it’s wings, yet they only had the boneless fried ones. The Maker’s Mac was okay. One of our plates was dirty. We also couldn’t put the tip on the Crosstown gift card we were using, which sucked since we didn’t have any small bills on us. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be back.

Love Crosstown, but was a little sad last time we went. Normally we don’t deviate from the amazing wings, but we did the last time we visited. On the positive side, the Batavia location now has an app, which allows you to get loyalty punches for visiting their location. When you first download the app, you get a free appetizer, up to $ 11! So, with this unexpected perk, we decided to try the Papi’s Fritas. On paper, it sounds delish, and the server warned us this was a big one! She wasn’t kidding… waffle fries with grilled steak, feta cheese, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, avocado, and bacon cheddar sour cream. When it was brought to our table, it looked delish! Down side? it was cold :(Fries seemed like they were cooked a while ago, but never put under the heater while they finished everything else. Saddest part? Steak was wayyy overcooked :(Wings were delish as usual, and the kiddo’s mac and cheese was a hearty portion, and not super hot(which I always appreciate as a mom!) Service was decent(nothing spectacular, but nothing to complain about either), the food we normally have was piping hot and good… we just may not venture too far away from our normal order next time.

Not impressed… ordered take out wings/tender’s with different flavor of dry rub, could not tell the difference like there was no rub on them at all. Ordered wings & tenders and only received two pieces of celery for entire order and also requested extra blue cheese… did not receive! Requested all drums for my wings, did not get them & paid the extra charge! Called and talked to the mgr and he informed me that they only give 2 pieces of celery per order… really!!! Good beer selection, but probably won’t order take out again if I go back.

I gave Crosstown another shot, and once again the wings did not disappoint… probably the best I’ve ever had. If I was rating just the wings, I’d give them a 10. They are huge, and the flavor varieties has something for every preference, whether you like hot, sweet, or savory… just delicious. And, as I’ve said before, there are many delightful craft brews on tap and in bottles which is another selling point. However, the other food items are kind of blah. Not bad, but nothing l’d go back for. This time I tried the chicken tacos, which were bland. My companions had the bacon sandwich and they described the bacon to be more like pork jerky. Also, the quality of service wasn’t the best this time around. Our server didn’t seem to want to be there… not very friendly or interested in engaging with us. I could name her, but being in the holiday spirit, I won’t. One person in our party asked for a beer recommendation and our server’s unenthusiastic response was that she didn’t drink beer, so she had no idea. She did offer to send someone over who knows about beer, and I think she was surprised when we took her up on the offer. A couple of minutes later a very friendly server came over and was very helpful in helping one of my companions in making a beer selection. So, I’d say if you want a wonderful wings and beer experience, then there is probably no place better than Crosstown. But if you are looking for a memorable dinner, this may not be be the place to find it.

I went there, and they had organized a stand up comedy show that was great! They set up a section of the restaurant for a show, and the comedians were tip notch, and everyone had a great time. The service and food were also wonderful! I recommend the Cuban sandwich which comes with soft pork and avacado! Definetly coming back

The only thing that earned the 2 stars was our server, Stacey and the beer list. This place is certainly disorganized. There are a lot of younger people working here and that leads to inexperience and questionable decisions. First off there was a longer than expected wait, which happens but I think some of that has to do with the younger people working there. We were told we had a 15 minute wait which turned into 38 minutes… no big deal, except a group the same size that came in after us was offer a table before us. We asked to be seated at a table near the TV’s where the Blackhawks game was on. They said it was everywhere in the bar. They take your cell number and text you when your table is ready, which is great… but we had been standing at the counter for 38 minutes… they could have just looked up and said, ok your table is ready. When we did give our number to them when we arrived, that was the last communication from them until they paged us, even know we were standing right next to the counter. When we did get seated we were put in the«kids play room» where every table seemed to have at least one bored kid or screaming infant, We did not have a child with us, so I question why they thought that would be a good fit for us. There was NOTV where the Blackhawks game was on in this room. We asked if another table was available and they moved us to another room where there were three tables available and NO Blackhawks game on. The waitress was awesome and said they would get someone to change on of the TVs to the game. They have a great beer list, a lot of microbreweries to choose from. That was the highlight! We ordered before the start of the second period and our wings did not come to the table until 2:18 left in the period. If you know hockey, that’s a long time. We each order that wings, which they claim is #1, which they were very good and they have a lot of sauces and rubs to choose from, but the long wait damped the expectations a bit and they were pretty costly.$ 12 for 10 plus they have a few add ons which add to the price. If you wanted 2 sauces they charge you $ 2 more. They looked like they had some trendy hamburgers which I would try if we do come back and also offered a fish fry(we went on a Friday night). They had messed up on one of they flavors of my wife’s wings and the waitress offered to put another order in, which came in around 5 minutes! Great, so why the almost hour wait to get our first order? It was pretty pricey-our bill was $ 74.57 plus a $ 14.91 tip(20 percent) and that was for 2 wing dinners, 2 beers each and a cheeseburger and coke for our 20 year old. My opinion is they need older more experienced workers up front to work with the younger staff and help keep customers happy. There seemed to be the same confusion with other customers waiting for a table. I had high hopes-as we enjoy going out to watch the Blackhawks play– but there are so many little things a restaurant can do to help you feel welcome and Crosstown did none of them. except for Stacey… her talents are being wasted there! She seemed to be the only one who was welcoming.

As a frequent customer at the Naperville location(a 5 star for sure) I expected to get the same food and service. Could be the most disappointing Sunday lunch ever. There was limited service and the food took over 30 minutes even though there was not a crowd. The server did give 50 percent off given the order was then completed by a rub being brought in a dish versus on the chicken(?) but we won’t be back. Naperville all the way. They care more and you always get great service, food and drinks

Tucked away east of Randall at Mill St. Worth the effort to find. The wings are great. Try them grilled. 30 flavors of sauces or rubs for the wings are very good. Over 36 taps for ales and beer. Alex the bartender was very helpful, knowledgeable and attentive.

The wings here are just as good as the ones at the Naperville location! Half price wings on Thursdays, and they don’t run out at 9pm like Napverville. PLUS, they also have half price appetizers and $ 3 Revolution pints. There was a short wait, but well worth it. The wings are meaty and there are tons of wet and dry rub options. My favorites are garlic parmesan and honey Sriracha. 10 wings per order and you can do half and half on flavors.

This place isn’t great, but it doesn’t suck either. craft beer menu is pretty good but varies between the Naperville and Batavia location. The apps are solid — however when ordering the saganaki, be aware it is served with bread sticks and not pita bread and you only get 2 breadsticks. You’ll be charged for extras. My one warning is DONOT partake in Taco Tuesday. Their tacos lack flavor and I rather eat Taco Bell. Seriously, guys. They’re that bad and flavorless. Ultimately not a bad place to go if you order the right thing.

Seriously guys… what happened? You used to be so much better! I met a friend last night for Loud Lucy Trivia and it was pretty much empty, and yet it took 20 mins to get a beer menu and another 10 mins on top of that to get a food menu. We ordered two things that usually take a few minutes to make(Mac & Cheese and waffle fries) and they took about 25 mins to get to us. I ordered another side of «loaded» waffle fries and they first came out with one or two blobs of cheese. I asked them to remake them and they came out a bit better, but there was a giant salt deposit in the middle of the fry pile. The saving grace was the trivia, but honestly, I was so let down by a place that I usually love to visit. Please start caring about your food again, guys. So, so disappointed.

As a huge fan of the Naperville Crosstown location and someone who has turned dozens of people who never heard of it into regulars I was excited when I heard about a new location. As far as menu, ipad ordering/payment, and they other typical Naperville crosstown business this one is right on the mark. Efficient, friendly, and a great selection. As far as bringing things up to speed they definitely have some work to do. We were told this location was newly acquired and it shows — just remodeled with nice seating, a lot of TVs, and good décor. The sign in front is impossible to find, but they promised that’s going to be worked on this spring. The server’s weren’t totally familiar with the menu, but they were doing pretty darn good and could access the information you needed reasonably quickly. This shouldn’t excuse not having a beer list though — especially with the great selection I’ve come to expect from Crosstown. Get a darn list guys! Step 1! As far as food prep goes — they need to get familiar or get some help. My medium burger was way underdone(luckily I’m not shy) and had a bunch of the outer layers of a grilled onion on it(unchewable). The baked mac ‘n cheese was basically Velveeta Shells ‘n Cheese with some bread crumbs on top stuck in the oven for a couple of minutes. OK but not as good as everything else I expect from Xtown. My friends ordered some of the famous and delicious wings that have helped me convert regulars, but the imbalance of sauces was a bit disappointing. Honey sriracha plus parmesan garlic had all of the former(though maybe a bit less honey than the last couple times), but just a sprinkling of the latter. I expect those Xtown wings to be swimming in parmesan! Overall the service was friendly and wasn’t bad as far as timing /etc, but the food prep did seem to take a little longer and there were a couple of other minor complaints. Good things were still abound like a nice sized flatbread, tasty wing flavors, and Burton Baton on tap is always nice as well. With a little work, a little leadership, and a proper sign this location can become as good or better than the Naperville one — but its going to take the effort to get there.

Stay away!!! Service sucks! I understand they just opened but everyone was rude even the hostess(which was on her phone when we left) they were still all un educated on the menu. The wings are good but I’ve had better. The«spicy» bloody mary was not spicy. Pretty much the whole staff was clueless and to mention it felt like I was sitting in a dungeon, very dark and the shades were closed on a sunny afternoon.
