Good home cook food with lots of flavor. They have lunch specials during the week. Not to mention they have dessert too. Stop by if you are in the area to try one of there delicious meals. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area.

Meats are very good. Great Brisket. But the corn was kinda hard and not sweet… And the rice dressing was kinda Bland… Great Service!!!

OMG, when I tell you that was the best catfish Po Boy I’ve ever had, please believe me! Fried and seasoned to perfection. The bread was amazing, and the service was stellar. The owner Dwanda was friendly and took great care in preparing our food. I’m so glad I found this hidden gem while traveling to Baton Rouge, I will surely return on my next trip.

Friendly staff made the visit nice. I had the chopped brisket sandwich with fries and coleslaw. Good proportions and good flavor. Is that maple syrup in the bbq sauce?

Baby Doll’s is an oasis in a desert. Finally some good home cooking that you don’t have to prepare yourself. Smothered pork chops, greens, cheese spaghetti were all very good. The gravy on the pork chops was perfectly seasoned. My only suggestion would be to simmer & season the pork chop a bit more for tenderness and flavor. We dined in and were serviced in a timely fashion. My husband and I were able to dine and return to our jobs within our 1 hour allotted lunch time. We ordered two separate entrees but could have gotten away with sharing one, the portions are huge. Thanks Baby Doll’s for coming to our food rescue!

I’ve been here twice. The first time was a disappointment as well as the second. The first experience was in 2014, after they moved to Greenwell Springs Rd. The rice dressing, or whatever it was did not taste fresh at all. The macncheese tasted like Stouffers. The ribs were meh. The cashier I dealt with had such an attitude towards me, I was confused and wondered if she mistook me for someone she once knew. Fast forward. I went last week. The sides I got were potato salad(needed more salt and pepper), that frozen mac and cheese again, and smothered turkey NECK over hard rice. I was sad to see one puny turkey neck, when the special said ‘turkey necks’. The jelly cake served there is to die for though. It’s so delicious. I heard a local radio station host gushing over his meal, and how it was kept hot. I guess I’m not important enought to have edible rice or a healthy portion of food on my plate.

Friendly staff, and quick service for small orders. I ordered the pork chop sandwich and I’ve never had one that was fully dressed as if it were a burger. Pork chop was fried to perfection but had little to no taste. Kind of wished I went to Chicken Shack where it would’ve been tastier(and cheaper). My son had the kids rib plate and shattered it to pieces. So he enjoyed it a lot. I also noticed that when we sat down a mother with a group of kids were already waiting, I received and ate my food, and these people were still waiting. Although the service wasn’t done to me, it was quite noticeable that they were not pleased. So my rate is largely mixed on the food as well as the large order service time.
