More like 3.5 stars. We stayed here over thanksgiving and checked in on Wednesday and it was a ghost town. Went to our family member’s home and returned and it got busy yay! The lobby is very nice and updated and the room itself is ok. There is no complimentary breakfast which sucks. There is only 1 elevator and its of average speed. There is an indoor and outdoor pool. We asked the front desk to have housekeeping freshen up our room while they were doing some maintenance but that didn’t happen hence the .5 stars(such a Unilocal thing to do yikes).

I finally decided to write a review of this place. Stayed here enough times that I have a very good feel for this particular hotel. Now, the only reason I don’t give this place a 5, is because I reserve 5 stars for those establishments go above and beyond. The location is solid, right off of I-10 and has with in walking a few food options. The front lobby area does feel a bit tight and needs more lighting. The staff when I arrived greeted me warmly and got me checked in right away. The room(it’s probably the 3rd time in this particular unit) have always been clean, beds made, bathroom spotless. Courtyard is great when I’m traveling on business, not a fav for family or leisure travel. That said, you also need to sign up for rewards program, if you travel at least 10 nights a year, I get in at least 50, and getting to gold or platinum status is very much worth pushing. Use the perks. In the end, will I stay here again, absolutely. Free wi-fi, clean rooms, good staff, near most of the main business areas. All keys to the business traveler . Again, if staying for fun, heck I’d be down by NOLA, not BR. Hope this helps!

Great customer service! Comfy beds, decent wifi, and starbucks on site. What’s not to like? Texas Roadhouse, Backyard Burger, and Chili’s within walking distance. I didn’t book this hotel or see the bill so I can’t comment on pricing. When I traveled frequently on business & I could choose the hotel Courtyard was always my choice. This location did not disappoint!

The staff was wonderful. Cheerful, attentive and very informative when it came to explaining the hotel’s amenities. When I got to my room, it had no been«inspected» so not even 5 minutes into me setting my belongings down, a floor supervisor entered and apparently I scared the life out of her because she was clutching her chest apologizing frantically. She explained that my room hadn’t been inspected and that was why all my drawers were open and all the lights were on, etc. which didn’t make much sense to me but I went with it. Upon inspecting the room, the bathroom was filthy. There was noticeable dirt in the tub and along the tub wall and there were what would appear to be pubic hairs on the floor near the toilet. Keep in mind, at this point I haven’t done anything except put my luggage down and start visually inspecting so they definitely didn’t come from me. The rooms were antiquated for my taste, I usually like newer, more modern hotels, but unfortunately this hotel was selected for me by the company. I didn’t have a car so having all the restaurants around within walking distance was a plus and the bistro downstairs offered breakfast, which I tried a parfait and oatmeal and both were excellent. The bistro overcharged me, but the girl was honest and brought back the change so I appreciate their honesty. All-in-all it just wasn’t my kind of hotel and I probably(given the choice) wouldn’t elect to stay here again, but the hospitality was top-notch, I just really wish the cleanliness and styling matched.

If you’re looking for a nice and relaxing time, this should be the place. Lovely clean room with a very comfortable bed. Great restaurants all around. Especially with great helpful staff you will enjoy your stay.

«Clean” room except for 2 roaches that greeted us. Not a 3-star hotel. Nobody there to serve dinner or breakfast, housekeeping kept knocking at the door even though our ‘do-not-disturb’ sign was up, front desk did not pick up the phone, no room service, no wireless internet.

Yes Mark, the entire hotel went through a 7-month renovation at the beginning of 2010. It’s very fancy-lookin’ now. Clean & modern. Bed is comfortable, space is well-used, staff is helpful & friendly, lobby is fabulous, and I love the little coffee shop/bistro. So long as you don’t care about internet speeds, it’ll be a 5-star for you. Sadly, I’m one of the few that really need fast(or at least normal) internet. Ping is RIDICULOUSLY bad. Best I saw has been 2500, usually up around 5000. If it was just a night or two, fine. But being stuck with that for 2 months makes me bang my head against the wall. Forget streaming television, and video games should not even be attempted.

I’m not sure if there has been an overhaul, but this courtyard was clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and they had a nice restaurant/coffee/bar area that was very pleasant. I’d have no problems recommending this to anyone based on my experience.

I agree with the last post. I live in Houston and went to visit friends in the BR area. I’ve stayed in many Courtyards throughout the US and I have never had these kinds of issues. I’ll start with the room UN-Cleanliness. I found food and condom wrappers in the sofa bed. There was PUBIC hair in the drain of the shower. I asked to speak to the Manager and was also told she was outside smoking. There was nobody else available for me to speak to. Once the Manager came out she was less than helpful. She actually made it seem as though what I was saying was a complete falsity. WHOWOULDMAKETHATUP? It’s not like they have SUITES at Marriott. I wsn’t looking for an upgrade but a clean room would have been nice. So, she was able to move us to a different room — hich din’t have crack whore remnants throughout, so it was at least okay. The towels ere scratchy and the food in the restaurant is SOGROSS. And if you pay cash, don’t expect a receipt. I’m pretty sure they pocket it. I’ve never een such an ordeal for a receipt in my life. Pancakes and Cat Pee is an amazingly accurate descriptin for the lobby smell. but you may want to add the aroma of Pine Sol on top of it. Mayb they tried to clean it? But Old Mop Water w/New Gallon of Pine Sol will rarely fix anything. PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE Don’t stay here. I Promise. You will Regret it. I’d rather sleep in a tent next to a chicken joint than sleep here again.
