Louisiana Nursery

Louisiana nursery has been our go to spot for Christmas trees the last few years. They have a good selection of multiple species of Fir. They have fresh trees every couple of days, so don’t fret if you don’t find the perfect tree. They even let us swap out a tree after we brought it home and did let like it in the house. How many places let you return a tree!

Since I had kids, I unfortunately don’t have the time for gardening anymore, so I’m really only reviewing the gift shop. I just went the other day, so it was mostly Christmas décor. First and foremost, it was so gorgeous and festive and smelled very festive as well. I probably should have just walked around the outdoor tree area to inhale the trees to inhale them because I do love that smell.
They sell a wide range of Christmas decorations from ornaments to Nutcrackers to Elf on the Shelf to holiday painted wine and beer glasses. Oh and I don’t wanna forget their gorgeous ribbon wreaths that they also sell on LSU colors. They make these there, so my guess is that they take custom orders. These would make gorgeous gifts, but I didn’t get to ask if they make and sell matching garland. The wreaths were worth the price, the Elf on the Shelf were the same price as sold anywhere else, but the Nutcrackers seemed high to me, especially when Hobby Lobby seems to always have them on sale.
No complaints with the customer service either. I had a few questions, and they did their best to answer and seemed pretty knowledgable with their inventory. They also had some fun outdoor decorations like beautifully painted LSU rocking chairs and big yard decorations. I haven’t shopped around much to compare Christmas decorations (other than Hobby Lobby last week), but I would think this would be one of the top recommended holiday gift shops in the Baton Rouge area. It’s a little pricy… but I think it’s worth it. The only thing I think they are lacking in is the selection of succulents, my new obsession! The employees are super friendly and knowledgeable. The inside of the store carries lots of cute items. It’s super fun to browse there at Christmas time and their selection of trees is great as well. I’d go check them out if I was you!

Looking for new plants for the spring that are healthy and gorgeous? Then do not miss Louisiana Nursery! Their selection of plants and flowers are second to none; in fact, whenever I’m in Baton Rouge, I make sure to stop at La Nursery to pick up a lovely potted plant.
They also have an amazing selection of gifts, garden items (i.e., wind chimes, flags, decorative balls, etc.), ribbons, interior decorating things, and awesome holiday decorations!
I would have given four stars, but no matter which location I go to, the staff is just not friendly. They’re not at all helpful. If you can get past that, though, the plants are fantastic.
