This is our go-to watering hole in BR. Great beer selection and I find their prices are very reasonable, at least for beers. We always enjoy a few rounds of shuffleboard while we are there and they also have ping pong and darts outside. It’s especially nice to stop in when the weather is pleasant as they open up the large garage doors to their back patio. I like that they put on different kinds of events to attract people to the bar, like free food Wednesdays or art shows. If you follow them on FB you will see what I’m talking about. And they are dog friendly! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a laid back, easy going atmosphere, whether it’s after work or a weekend afternoon. The night crowd might be a bit larger and the music louder but we can almost always find an open bench or empty chair in a quiet corner to carry on a conversation.

Nice chill place. A little hipster for the average person but the drinks are extremely good and the bartenders do a great job with the cocktails!

I’ve tried a couple times to get into this bar. I just can’t do it. It’s definitely got a great patio going for them. They’ve got games out there and tables etx. The crowd is just not my scene. It’s very hipster. Also, it takes awhile to get drinks. I guess if I lived in the neighborhood that I would get over my problems with it, but since I don’t, I’ll continue to go on a whim. I will say the food trucks outside of there the other night were on point! Pork nachos at 1 am were great.

Came here a while back for a friends birthday day party and was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a smaller bar with a pretentious crowd and weak drinks. I WASWRONG to assume any of that. The bar opens up to an expanded patio(with a corner bar) and adequate seating through out. The bartenders are as attentive as they can be(the crowd was pretty large) and the selection of brews and spirits are extensive. These bartenders make some great tasting drinks. The DJ was on point with a nice eclectic variety of music(aiding to the laid back hipster atmosphere). It was a comfortable and inviting feel and made a great impression. Great mid-city hangout.

I hate writing bad reviews. I hate not liking places, or having things to complain about. But I gotta say, after all the hype I’ve heard from locals about this place, I was sorely disappointed last night. My boyfriend and I are brand new to town(this is our second weekend), and as he put it last night, we’re looking for«our» bar. You know it when you find it– from the time you walk in until you stumble out, you feel at home. In fact, you feel like you’re at a better version of home, because your bar also has a lot of booze. Your bar is a special place, the stuff Cheers was made of. Anyway, we learned last night that Radio Bar will not be our bar. Worse, it just made me miss my old favorite bar from Flagstaff, which featured all the cool factor Radio Bar really wants you to take note of but without the air of insufferable hipster irony. I lived in NYC already; I’ve been to Brooklyn plenty of times, thanks. I could do without feeling like I walked into Williamsburg when all I want is a pint. Hipsters aside(because live and let live, really), what really turned me off to this place was one of their bartenders, who was incredibly rude to us. Maybe we looked too much like we could, in fact, care less, or maybe he was just having a bad night, but he was hands-down the rudest bartender I’ve encountered in a long, long time. And that includes Brooklyn. After my boyfriend responded to his«Yeah, what do you want?» with his order for a pint of… something we’d never heard of before and I can’t remember now…, the bartender responds with, «Which one?» So my boyfriend assumed he couldn’t hear him, and repeated what he said. I guess there were multiple kinds of this one brand of beer, because the bartender then snaps at us, «WHICH. ONE? There are THREEKINDS.» and rolls his eyes. After they worked out my boyfriend’s order, the guy just looks at me, smirks, and goes, «AND?» Luckily, they only have one Blue Moon on tap, so there was no conflict, only creepy leering and a bad taste in my mouth from the whole interaction. We got that one round, and then left instead of chancing having to talk to Mr. I’m-too-cool-to-do-my-job-or-button-my-shirt-more-than-halfway. Couple the bartender with a generally aloof vibe from the rest of the patrons, and I never felt comfortable there. I hear they do awesome Sunday food days, they’re dog friendly, and they’re creating a beer garden, so maybe I’ll give it another shot for a happy hour drink or something. Meanwhile, we’ll just keep looking for our bar.

This is a great, eclectic, hideaway bar. They have a great cocktail menu that are all freshly made! Not to mention, shuffleboard and PBR on draft!!! Make me feel all warm and fuzzy on this inside. Added bonus: They usually have food trucks outside the joint incase you get the munchies.

Really cool little bar. Straight up it’s a hipster bar, but with that being said any type of person can come in and feel comfy. The have an extensive drink menu and I’ve actually discovered a few new beers that i enjoy highly thanks to this bar, PBR is a $ 2 a pint which is amazing. On any given night this place can be packed. The last time i was here on a Friday it was packed and service was still very prompt and wonderfully. The specialty drinks are crafty expertly and are always good. The bar itself is an old auto garage so it has huge bay doors that roll up to reveal the patio. The patio gets cramped but i rarely go on it because the Louisiana humidity is unforgivable. If your looking for a bar to grab a drink and not the traditional«turnt up «bar club. check out Radio Bar.

This is a great place to hang out. The staff is personable and if you have a pet the Patio is pet friendly. The building they are in is part of the Ogden Market urban renewal project and the perfect place for a local laid back bar. They have happy hour 7 days a week from 4 — 7, serve free meals the first Sunday of the month and one of the best beer menus I’ve seen in Baton Rouge. The music is great and there is an app to allow patrons to help choose the songs. Bar seating, nice patio area, pub tables and chairs and a few booths give patrons plenty of choices. There’s bike parking along the side of the building for locals that wanna save the fuel and avoid the pressure of keeping the BAC below 0.08%. I really had a great time here and saw a few people I knew, one was a Unilocaler friend I’d never met in person. Radio Bar really brings the coolness to Mid City and I recommend you give them a try soon. And yes, I will visit them again.

Best bar in BR, hands down. Great whiskey, great beer, great staff, great patio, great crowd, great music. I’m only in this city a few times a year and I make a point to come here at least a few times when I’m red sticking around. It does get a little crowded at times but I can’t even be mad.

Awesome«neighborhood» bar, good music, nice selection of both beer and spirits. The magic is in the details, and atheistics. Cute glassware and trendy craft cocktail menu. It’s a hipster bar, sure, but it’s a great, friendly crowd. Bartenders are… Nice enough. It’s oddly $ 4 to add olive juice(dirt) to any vodka, so, steer clear if you’re planning on several. Smoking is only outsider, lovely compromise, which is where you may also enjoy ping pong or darts.

Love, love, love this open concept bar! The garage doors were open on a splendid Spring evening! Though there was a fantastic Spring drink menu, I opted for a French 75… yummy! Drink prices are comparable to most hand crafted bar menus. The patio is spacious, open air, and equip with a Ping pong table :) I promised my husband I’d play next visit. Hail Radio Bar!

This is my go to bar. I love it. They have an interactive radio set up so the customers can log into an app called remote on your phone where you can suggest songs to be played in the bar. The application ranks songs based on a ranking system where others vote. The more votes the song gets the sooner your song will play. Pretty cool if you ask me. They draw an eclectic group of people and there are games like shuffle board and ping pong set up. PBR is always $ 2. Otherwise most drinks go for well over $ 8.

One of my go-to bars in Baton Rouge, this place has a great atmosphere. It was a hipster bar for a while, but nowadays the crowd can be pretty diverse. Weekends it’s packed(which is ‘meh’ for me). What’s great is the good selection of beers and interesting craft cocktails. An awesome place to go with a group of 5+ people, pick a song via the free app and upvote it to the top(a decent selection of music, but not the best). Overall a great Friday/Saturday going out spot.

Went there a few times. The first couple times were chill. Then this time was SOOOOO busy. About a hundred or more. There was nowhere to sit. But when we eventually did, amanda went up to our table and asked us about our drinks and how we were enjoying them. Cleared our table of anything we were done with. She was very nice. We noticed that she honestly didn’t stop the entire time we were there. I even saw her in the bathroom changing the TP rolls. She worked VERY hard the entire night. Bartenders were very kind and respectful. Amanda was out there and constantly checking on us. Even when the crowd was dying down. I love this bar!!! To be honest, I started the night with a crazy crowed and no where to sit and already had a stressful day… Definitely didn’t want to stand the whole time haha … But beside my fiancé being there, she really saved it for me. Thank you guys. So much.

Radio Bar has a great selection of liquors and a very hip atmosphere. Being that it’s in the Midtown area, you will see the Baton Rouge hipster but you’ll probably also see a few frat guys too. The drinks are well made and they even have waitresses that do a great job if you find yourself lucky enough to snag a table. The parking situation can be tough some nights but most of us should be taking a cab or Über to and from the bar. They have a few bar games around and a small but great outdoor space if the weather is cooperating. I’ve been here multiple times and you’ll definitely catch me here again. Kudos to a good bar that doesn’t cater to the college crowd only!

«Superb neighborhood bar in the heart of mid-city». This bar is huge! I love it! Since they don’t serve food, the great part is that you can bring your food in! It was so cool to see, when I walked in, boxes of pizza being shared amongst the different parties. Looks like the next spot for my upcoming birthday party! Want to challenge friends or new-found friends to a game of ping-pong? Step outside into their outdoor area, where you can carry-on a fair game(of course) ping-pong. Cravin’ a cold brew… they got one for you! Had a long day at work and looking for a place to chillax with some friends? They have happy hour specials for you, too, from 4pm-7pm(Mon — Fri). Even if you have a large group of friends, bring ‘em all… they can accommodate! Do you want to cozy up with your main squeeze? You will find booths to sit in that feel private because of the high backs!

It’s hipster, y’all. REAL hipster. If you are into that, absolutely hit it up because the drinks are tasty, inventive, and reasonably priced. Go for the Sazerac or any of the whiskey drinks they have when you come in. Another cool thing about Radio Bar, is they use the Remote app for the sound system, so there’s bound to be a random mix of music happening at any given time. Plus, in a very hipster fashion, they stream the music that’s playing in the bar ONLINE from their website. I like it because it’s great people watching, the service is good, and it’s non-smoking, but it’s not usually the first place I think to go, unless I’m meeting friends who live in the area.
