Just ordered and received my lunch within 30 minutes ! I really enjoy Sushi Village because it’s great quality food for a reasonable price. I ordered the 3 roll lunch special which is only $ 10.99 and you get soup and some salad(lettuce and a miso dressing). I also get their gyoza also known as dumplings. It’s all good trading food for a great price so go try them when you get a chance.

I was looking to try another sushi place that was near my work. I found sushi village to be right down the road. Their menu had a lunch special to get 2 rolls and soup or salad for 7.99, so I went with it, and took it back to work. I chose the spicy tuna roll; unfortunately it wasn’t very spicy and the flavor of the tuna was covered up by these tempura crispies that were rolled up with it. I also chose the phillidelphia roll since that was what I was craving. It had this wierd flavor, like maybe the fish or thr cream cheese was placed near onions and the oils were absorbed. Dissapointed that it was somewhat of a miss. Their menu is filled with regular and special sushi choices, so maybe after some time I’ll try the lunch special again. Overall visit, I give it a B.

Decided to try this place out and it’s all you can eat sushi and kitchen special. For 21 bucks you get to pick items off a fixed menu. The menu has a good variety. To get to the point everything was tasty. The gyoza and crispy calamari were great. All and all good meal. Better than sushi masa imo

Sushi was mediocre. The servers were nice, though. Something in the water tasted like either bad eggs or good cheese; regardless, wouldn’t want it in my water. This was my first and last time going here. There are better sushi places around.

First time in for a lunch with a business associate. Got a booth first but they are kind of tight and weirdly situated so we switched over to a table. Lunch menu for sushi/sashimi and the regular menu has pretty much the standard fare you are accustomed to at a smaller sushi place. Bill for two came to $ 40 plus tip, a bit more than one might want to spend on lunch but when you go sushi and sashimi it can get up there. Overall service was steady but it seemed our server did not understand English very well when asked a question. Minor nit. Would try again since it is near my place of work and a healthier option than some others if you know what to order.

The sushi was average at best. The place is run by a hardworking family, the preteen daughter waits tables. Service wasn’t charismatic but they try… That’s the bigger reason they got an additional star. There are several places in BR that has better rolls. Probably won’t go back.

We went here because I’d purchased a Groupon. I’d read that the Gyoza(shrimp dumplings) were good and they were! Actually, everything we ate was pretty delicious. I didn’t give them a 5-star rating because of the service. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable but she never checked on us and we were given the check without asking. My son wanted to order another order of the dumplings but we just paid the check when a guy(not our server) handed us the bill. Our server was super young and I’m guessing she was maybe the owner’s daughter or niece. I have a business and my son works for me too but they should only do this if they are trained. She was sweet and pleasant but not exactly trained in the finer skills of waiting tables. Still, I’d go back because the sushi was that tasty.

I dropped by for dinner after getting a groupon($ 12 for $ 20). The place was completely empty at 730pm on a Sunday, a bit alarming but given the area I assume they are mostly packed during lunch. I ordered the gyoza dumplings which I thoroughly enjoyed. I liked that it was all shrimp, most places have a shrimp/pork mix. It was nice and fresh with a little dipping sauce. The avocado salmon sushi roll was simple and nicely filled. We got the yummy roll which was very refreshing. It had grilled eel, avocado, and mango inside with spicy tuna on top. It all made for a very flavorful bite with hints of sweet, sour, and spicy. I hope my assumption that they’re busier for lunch is right. I would like to see them stick around, especially since there aren’t many sushi places open on the sherwood side of town on Sunday.

This was the worst sushi I have ever eaten in my life, and I eat sushi a couple times a week. This is my second time here, one was in house the other was delivery and both times were awful. I should have trusted my gut instinct and not given it a second try. Please steer clear… there are some many better spots in Baton Rouge! Gross and never again! Pissed I just wasted my money man! Darn!

So yummy! I’ve had awesome sushi from around the the country and this is by far one of the better places in Baton Rouge. All you can eat is totally worth it.

I love love love this place. I order pick up or delivery and the rolls are always amazingly fresh. They also have great delivery service. I highly suggest the Paradise roll, the OMG roll, and the fish katsu.

I order sushi from here for pickup regularly. I have never eaten in house, but every time I order the service is great, prompt and my order is always correct and delicious. Prices are very reasonable — a great reliable find.
