Stopped into WINK during the Christmas holidays while doing some shopping for my wife. The customer service was amazing! Although I’m not familiar with the eyelashes/makeup concept Latrice was more than helpful in helping me pick out the right hues/shades for my bride. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for the perfect gift for their significant other. The other reviews here do WINK no justice…

I’ve been coming to wink since 2012 and this is my first time being treated in such a horrible way. Ashley, a new employee, did my lashes and they all came off. Came the next day and the wait was 40 mins to fix my lashes. Once I came back to town on Wednesday, I headed to wink. The rep acted as if she never did my lashes and manager offered to fix my lashes for $ 11. I will never come to Wink again. The service was horrible. I am a person that never complains, but that’s no way to treat a 3 year customer.

The people are friendly but not too attentive or talkative. I got my eyelashes done & I got the biggest set they had. I fell asleep for the first hour until my lower back started hurting from the table so I kept trying to reposition(which is hard in a dress). This also takes 2 hours so make sure you use the bathroom. My eyelashes look good but 2 have already fell out right when I had got in my car. Bummer. It’s really expensive. Will prob try some place else.

«I wouldn’t recommend Wink Eyelash Bar to a friend… or my worst enemy for that matter.» Here’s why: I’ve been thinking about getting individual eyelash extensions for a while now. A couple days ago I finally took the plunge and got individual Mink eyelashes applied. I did some research and settled on WINK Eyelash Bar in Baton Rouge, LA. I went in to set up an appointment. I had to pay a $ 20 non-refundable down-payment to secure my appointment. On the day of my appointment, I arrived 15 minutes early,(which never happens, by the way!) I was greeted by an employee and she told me to have a seat. The décor of the salon was absolutely adorable. The walls were pink and there were zebra print accents throughout. About 15 minutes later, the woman who would be applying my lashes escorted me back to begin the procedure. At this point I’m just overcome with excitement. I was picturing myself batting my long, thick eyelashes and just looking fabulous! Well my delusions of grandeur came to a screeching halt when the eyelash technician informed me that I had«really curly» lashes and that it would leave less surface area for the false lashes to adhere to, thus they may not last as long and require more maintenance. She then proceeds to ask me if I still wanted to get my lashes done. I said, heck yeah I do! I already paid my down-payment. Make it work, honey! At this point I was annoyed with the lash tech because that’s a cop out. She should have learned how to deal with clients with curly lashes as well as straight. Especially since you’re charging a grand total of $ 127 for this service. You need to be an expert. Moving on. So she began applying the lashes and during the procedure I had to use the restroom.(This is a two hour procedure for God’s sake!) It seemed like she had an attitude about me having to use the bathroom. But hey that’s life. When she removed the dressing from my eyes, I realized that she had glued my eyes shut. It was extremely painful as she yanked them apart. Finally after about an hour and a half my lashes were finally done. I was a little underwhelmed. The craftsmanship was rather shoddy, as there were lashes going every which way. I just felt like the lash tech made a few rookie mistakes and for the $ 127 I paid, rookie mistakes are unacceptable. So here’s the verdict. I am NOT impressed. I wouldn’t recommend Wink Eyelash Bar to a friend… or my worst enemy for that matter. The level of skill that went into this is comparable to an Asian nail shop. Save your money and skip Wink Eyelash Bar.

I’m writing this using my husband’s acct on Unilocal since I don’t have a profile and he does. He doesn’t get eyelash extensions!- I do! I have been getting individual extensions for several years now, first in Texas, now in Louisiana. For the past year and a half Latrice at Wink has done my lashes. I love the job she does. She’s on time, quick and does an amazing job!!! I get so many compliments and Wink’s prices are very fair. Very happy customer.

I have visited this place 3 times. The 1st two times were great and the two girls did an awesome job. I went right before the bad weather hit so my appt was moved. This was great b/c I love wearing my lash extensions. The last experience was terrible. 1st off I didn’t know the name of the person doing my lashes b/c she never told me. Then she glued some lashes together and as she was separating them she hurt me. It was so bad my eyes started burning. I pulled back which is a natural response to PAIN but she was mad at me like I caused the pain! Saying«if you pull back it’s gonna hurt worse!» I told her that it’s has never hurt this bad before! I guess that pissed her off! Then when it was all done she pulled the tape off my eyelids as if I were getting a wax job! This caused my eyes to tear up and she gave me Kleenex! Then the excess glue was visible on my lashes where she hurt me in the 1st place. She got off most of it but some was still visible to me but she couldn’t see it! She said,“I don’t see what you are talking about!” I then just wanted to get out of there! The girl who did them in the past was there and I wish she could have done my lashes. How about she was a little bit nicer after i still gave her a tip b/c of my personality! It takes a lot of time so I just did! My friend said I should not have but I did. She asked if I wanted to schedule my NEXT appt and I said no! I then got home to see that I had a gap where lashes should have been and I had more than usual to fall out the very next day! When I looked at my receipt I seen that the person who did my lashes was the OWNER(Latrice Pinkins) of the salon!!! At least that was the name on my receipt b/c remember she never told me! No manners and very unprofessional! She was also checking her phone because I could hear it! WTH!!! And needless to say I pay extra for mink lashes! I was upset days because I was contemplating calling and making a complaint about this episode! Low and behold it was the owner! It’s terrible when the staff you employ does a better job than the owner! But then why would she refill EVERY lash! They are suppose to last up to 6 weeks but I need a refill now and it’s been almost 2 weeks! This is b/c she didn’t put a lash on every lash that needed it unlike her staff who is great! This keeps you spending MORE money! If you go please get Candace(white female) or the staff member with long light brown/blonde hair(black female)! Sorry I’m terrible with name so I forgot her name! They were awesome and I left satisfied! I’m done! Can’t support a business where the owner is the worst person doing me a service!
