Tried Menchie’s at the Mall for the first time. Not impressed. I didn’t find the yogurt selection to be as plentiful or the toppings as good as Yogurtland. Parking inconvenient and too far to walk. Sorry Menchie’s! I wanted to like you but I won’t be back.

I love the variety of flavors. The toppings range from fruit to candy, and anything in between. I usually mix flavors and go crazy with my toppings. The service is always good and the have the cutest little spoons.

«Get your fro-you fix»! I am absolutely in love with self-serve frozen yogurt… the concept is refreshing, simple and unique. Now, who would not want to have a frozen yogurt buffet? Some may think it is a tad bit pricey, but who cares, you get to serve your own ice cream… you are in control! Now, who doesn’t want to be in control! The first self-serve frozen yogurt shops popped up in 2008, I remember, but could have been somewhere else before that year and I didn’t even know it. Before we knew it, they were poppin’ up like hotcakes! The idea has caught on. Many started them, some failed and some prevailed! Menchie’s is just one of those that prevailed! The ice cream is consistently good, sometime flavors are not the greatest, but hey, it’s still fun to push your own! * self-serve frozen yogurt Baton Rouge *

Went here once, and was yelled at by a staff member who thought I was a teenager. Also, the yogurt flavors are disgusting.

Perhaps if I’d never been to Yogurtland before to have the comparison, I would have given more stars. I truly couldn’t stand any of the yogurt flavors. Then they had jelly beans(which I absolutely love) as a topping option, but it was possibly the worst idea ever. I thought I was going to break my tooth they got so hard. Sorry, Menchies, customer service was fine, but for the selections, I won’t be returning.

Living in NYC, there were fro-yo places all over the city(Pinkberry and Red Mango were my favorites). I really miss good fro-yo, but luckily I discovered Menchie’s! It’s not the best I’ve ever had, but it’s better than many. And it’s especially a great find in Baton Rouge! Menchie’s is going to have some serious competition as soon as the Red Mango opens in Perkins Rowe however. Menchie’s charges by weight and there are a variety of fro-yo flavors to mix and match including Butterfinger, cookies & cream, berry flavors, chocolate, original tart, lemon, etc. Toppings include fruit, lots of candies, nuts, syrups, etc. I love the chocolate covered sunflower seeds, the gummy bears, and peanut butter chips. Yum! Can’t wait to go back.

I’ve been to Menchie’s once — and it was enough for me. This summer, I spent a lot of time in L.A. — the land of frozen yogurt. While I love the concept, even though it’s not as original as some think, the yogurt quality is poor. If I were forced to go back, I’d probably load up on just the toppings. Speaking of, when I went they didn’t have mini-chocolate chips — which is tragic.

Maybe I don’t get out much, but this was my first time to visit a yogurt or ice cream shop where you could walk around the store & get your own free samples & fill your own cup with what every flavors you like. And I’ve never seen fruit so fresh that looked like they just picked it. I actually had more fruit in my cup than yogurt.(I’m allergic to veggies, but not fruit) Once you filled your cup, you take it to the register and they weigh it to get your price. Great idea! And it’s right outside of the Mall of Louisiana, in the new outdoor section, I’ll be stopping every trip from now on and not feel guilty.

+5 stars for lots of choices, yummy frozen yogurt, polite staff, and being the best! This is as good as it gets with frozen yogurt! Self serve & pay by the pound, you get the perfect amount of just what you wanted. This place has way more choices than Pinkberry and you can serve yourself as much as you want! I hope Denver gets a Menchies soon.

To me menchie’s is better than ice cream shops, because not only is it self serve, it’s tastier and healthier. When it comes to frozen yogurt, it doesn’t get better than menchie’s. I just moved back here to Baton Rouge from Los Angeles, and they have frozen yogurt on just about every corner. Menchie’s was my favorite out there, and I’m SO glad that they have it here. They rotate the flavors daily, I’ve seen New York Cheesecake, Snickerdoodle, Butterscotch, Irish Mint, Vanilla, Chocolate, Low Carb White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, Original Tart, Green Tea Tart, etc… You put however much you want into a cup(you can mix them as well) then you select your toppings. Everything from fruit, nuts, candy, cheesecake bits, cookie dough bits, sprinkles, hot fudge, and warm peanut butter. If you think you won’t like it because you don’t like yogurt, you WILL! The tart flavors have that yogurt taste, but the others just taste like soft serve ice cream. They even do «No Sugar Added» flavors. Nutrition info is on their website. You have to try it! They close at 10 on weekdays, 11 on weekends, and 9 on sundays
