Coffee is not good. Sweets are mediocre, basically sugar and floor. Indoors are relatively nice and they have large parking behind the building.

Go in, guy behind the counter seems like he’s in a hurry for us to order, not friendly at all. Give us a break, we are looking at what we wanna order! Just grabbed a wrap and a drink. Didn’t feel welcomed at all. There were other people there and it just seemed like a cliquey place. Don’t wanna go back again. We walk out of the place and that same guy is smoking by the entrance. Didn’t even bother to say bye to us. Why 3 stars? Because the interior was decent, good wrap and good wifi. It was cozy.

Very cozy and comfortable coffee shop. Nice art work on the walls, lighting is dim to make this a quiet place to sip your coffee and read a book, surf the web on the free wi-fi.
Coffee was very hot but flavor was very mild for Mackinaw Island Fudge flavored coffee. I will come back and try them again.

It’s not easy to travel and find a coffee shop where you can feel like you’re at your local cozy coffee shop… and today I was pleasantly surprised to find Brownstone while at a training in town. I ordered a dirty chai — perfectly sweetened, simple and sprinkled with cinnamon love and simple lunch offerings for a sweet deal. The quiche was simple, affordable full of big chucks of artichoke, spinach and a well done light breading… While I thought that was just enough I also found the price for cinnamon chocolate covered coffee beans a deal I coudn’t resist. Looking forward to a few more days at this homey, art filled, cozy couch and local flair and great conversation. Thanks for making my return to Battle Creek even more enjoyable!
