The rooms and staff were very nice. We ate at the restaurant and had the prime rib and it was horrible they had grilled or put it on the flat top, yuck, prime rib is roasted not to be grilled. The shrimp was good and the oysters Rockefeller was also good.

The rooms were all booked at the Firekeepers Casino, so we had no choice but to stay at the Quality Inn which is just down the block. It’s kind of like a standard 3.5 star motel/hotel. In the main lobby there is complimentary coffee, which is nice. The man at the front desk was really courteous. Our room was a standard room with a king bed. I believe it was $ 109 plus tax. The room was very clean. The bed was pretty comfortable — the mattress was a little too firm and probably old, but the pillows were great and we were able to get a good nights rest. The bathroom was clean. Tub was a little small, but no big deal. There are snack and soda in the hallway, which is great. There wasn’t any bottled water though, unless there was another machine that I didn’t discover. My only issue is that there are entrances/exits at the end of the halls to the parking lot and you don’t need a room key to enter the building. That is a little unsettling. But, at the desk they ask for the make and model of your car, so hopefully they are on top of it. There is complimentary breakfast which consists of english muffins, white bagels, mini muffins, egg patties, hard boiled eggs, sausage patties, Trix brand yogurts, frosted flakes and raisin brand cereal, quakers oats, apples, waffles(that you make yourself with a waffle maker), coffee, orange juice, iced tea and water. The only thing that looked interesting was the waffle, which ended up being pretty good. Overall, I was happy with my stay. If you can’t get a room at the Firekeeper’s casino hotel, you can’t go wrong here. Granted it may not be a luxurious place to stay, but it worked out fine.

We stayed here on a Friday night since the casino was booked. It was ok. The room was clean. The bathroom door did not shut all the way. It was very noisy. The walls are really thing so we had to listen to the person in the next room coughing really loud all night long. Front desk staff was friendly. They has a nice little free breakfast in the morning and a free shuttle to the casino. The seafood restaurant that was attached was pretty good.

Stayed here over a friend’s wedding weekend. It was pretty average as hotels go, with a few things even less than average. You can walk through the property from the inside, but it is faster and recommended to drive around to various other entrances, «motel» style, to get nearer to your room. The entrance nearest my room was never locked during the day and I didn’t require my key to open it… which is a little unnerving now that I think on it. Front desk staff was really friendly — I stayed one night with my mom and had my own room the next night. They told me to come down at 10 am to get my new room, and were very apologetic when it wasn’t ready and even offered to call me when it was ready so I could move my things in ASAP. Breakfast was okay — two kinds of cereal, waffle maker, hard boiled eggs, muffins/bagels/English muffins, and some dubious looking egg patties, sausage patties, and biscuits(to create egg mcmuffins with my dear!) And gravy for the biscuit. A few apples and bananas the first morning, none the next. Not great, but you should be able to rustle something edible up. Room was clean and comfortable. Sink is outside the bathroom, bathroom only has the toilet and shower and sink next to the bathroom so not private. TV worked, free internet worked(slowly). I was not disturbed by noise but easily could have been if I had noisy neighbors — I could hear my parents sometimes in their room next door, coughing or what have you. Anybody playing music or laughing loudly or whatever would definitely be heard next door. Not great, but I imagine it’s cheaper than staying at Firekeepers?

We stayed here one night in Aug 2012 so we could go to an event next door at the casino. We found this hotel to be quite satisfactory and managed well. The King Business Suite was spacious and clean… I have added pictures for reference. Bed was comfortable with six pillows. Linens were 200 thread count and could be maybe alittle higher grade but were appropriate in this price range of hotel. The room was all updated. A fridge, microwave, hair dryer and coffee service were all supplied. New lamps, clock radio and plasma tv. Room was quiet. Pool was busy. Halls were a tad warm and maybe alittle musty. A huge plus for this hotel us their being right next door to the casino… You could actually walk over. A huge tip here is to get the 20% room discount by using your Firekeepers Player Card… Get one! A shuttle to casino is free and runs on call afternoons/eve. Free breakfast in hotel lobby area was supplied. Front desk, shuttle driver and houskeeping all professional and helpful. So in conclusion we will stay again… For the discount price of $ 103 we felt we got our monies worth.

A pretty good spot for a clean bed and a shower in Midway/Battlecreek. Friendly staff and complimentary breakfast are a nice touch. If you enjoy gambling they offer a free shuttle service to the casino next door.

This hotel is off of the interstate and old-ish although they are trying to fix it up. However, the staff is exceptionally friendly. From the check-in clerk to the manager everyone was very nice. Inspite of the fact that it was an older hotel, I had comfortable 2 night stay. They have a complimentary breakfast and the hotel staffer actually made me a fresh waffle. Very nice.
