This was my first time here i was referred by a friend and it was about a 40 min drive… The prices are average a lot cheaper than Los Amigos… The portion size was good, i had to stuff my self rather than take a togo box home. Now for the down side of this visit was when we walked in there was no sign sayin«please wait to be seated» or «seat yourself» so we were kinda waiting till staff told us. So finally after sitting down it took 5 min before we got menus. Now we ordered and yes the food came out pretty quick even tho they were busy… I had a burrito and my friend ordered some type of fried pork with cilantro, that tasted yummy but near the last bites we noticed somethin different it kinda looked like a very long curved piece of rice, It was a rubber band that had gotten chopped up with the cilantro, it was holding the bundle of cilantro together… now the only time the waitress came back was to drop off the check, the salsa was spicey which is ok but just needed a refill on water i water, I ended up drinking my friends water… Now its time to pay my friend walked the bill up to the register and told them about the rubber band, the lady behind the counter quickly appolgized and said it was from the cilantro and that was it… so based on my first experience i give it 3 outta 5 will i go back to this restuarant? No but they do have another location closer that i didnt know about, hopefully this one will be better.

Good service and tasty Mexican food… Chips and salsa is delicious :) Chicken with mushroom on a sizzler plate was nice. Lemonada is a refresher!

I love to eat here. The food is always good and it comes quick. The chips are super good. The salsa is always different tasting because it is homemade but is always good. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that some days it will take a while for someone to serve you after you sit down. Overall is a great place to eat.

Never got a chance to eat here. A lot of employees entertaining each other but not taking care of customers. After 10 minutes of being ignored we decided to leave.

I’ve been here probably over a dozen times in the last few years — it often gets picked as a lunch spot with my coworkers since it’s close to the office. Their food is of consistent quality and always comes out hot and their service is great — always quick to take orders and bring out the food. I think they realize that most people are time constrained on their lunch break. I’m rating only 3 stars because I like their food and I would return again for sure, I just don’t LOVE it; their chips are too thick and not salty enough, and I wish they would use all white meat in their chicken dishes. I would rate 3.5 if I could. Overall, the portions are plenty for the price, and I always leave feeling full.

Was expecting an authentic Mexican meal but was very disappointed… The«wet» burrito had the cheese sauce on it, in my mind just a cheap substitute. Margarita was too sweet and I couldn’t taste any alcohol– not planning a second visit

Wow soooo good. We went there twice in one day when we were stranded in BC waiting for a train back to Chicago. Rice and Refried Beans were top notch. Chicken Tamales were the best Ive ever had. Ambiance inside was nice but outside exterior could use a littlr TLC, but no biggie because the food was AWESOME! The green salsa and chips were on par. Servers both times were fantastic and attentive definately smiled and were happy to help you. We went on Memorial Day so place was slow as most would be BBQing outdoors. Also prices per person was high value for sure. Thanks keep up the good work.

They’ve redone the inside. More booths instead of tables and chairs. The food is the same, luckily. It’s pretty simple, authentic Mexican food. Salsa is homemade. Verde sauce is really good. Tacos are great. Nachos are big enough to share, with plenty of ingredients on top. This is a place to enjoy without the hustle of larger restaurants.

Everyone wants to find a good Mexican restaurant. Pass Nina’s Taqueria by and keep looking. There was an «off» taste to the barbacoa filling for the simple quesadilla, and the«mole» on the chicken tasted like it came from one of those pry-off-the-lid jars — but too diluted. The iced tea was undrinkable, if you can imagine. Unfortunately our server washed the adjacent table with strong-smelling restroom-style cleaner just after she brought the food, and the competition was too much.

This is a really nice little Mexican place. The service was great and the food was delicious. Great price. Might not have been the cleanest place I have every been too… but was okay. It is a great casual place with very reasonable prices. I agree it is a nice little gem. We arrived early for our train at Amtrak and walked over here to eat an early dinner.

This place makes you feel like you have travelled to Mexico City. The brilliant colors and unique pottery are great. Our server was so nice and always had a smile on her face. I had a house margaritas on the rocks and man was it good and stronger. Been awhile since I had had a margarita that good. I had steak fajitas with corn tortilla. The steak was so tender and full of flavor. It came with a side of guacamole that tasted so good. I loved how everything was home made. Can’t wait to go back. The prices are so reasonable and the portions are just the right size.

Nina’s is a wonderful family owned taqueria where fusion standards such as fajitas are served as well as Mexican tacos with cilantro and onion. The warm chips and salsa make a good starter. Coke in a bottle is also served here. The food is reasonably priced and is of good quality. If looking for a casual taqueria to take in while in Battle Creek, it’s tough to beat this place.

The chips are always fresh and always grab a bag to go. As far as the menu, it’s not my cup of tea for Mexican food. I got a chicken burrito and requested white cheese on top(on the menu) however, for the second time, they didn’t have it at this location. So, I got nacho cheese on my burrito and it was okay. Not bad, not great… just okay.

Nina’s offers affordable, authentic Mexican food. I am new to the area and pleasantly surprised to see a fair number of Mexican restaurants. Nina’s is my favorite. I have had the enchiladas, chile relinos, tacos and chips/salsa. I was very pleased, but found the chips to be a little thicker than I like. The salsa and refried beans(surprisingly) were excellent. If you are looking for ambiance or dancing waiters, go elsewhere. If you want excellent, no-nonsense Mexican food, try Nina’s.

Fantastic food!!! Salsa and warm chips… always warm, yum! Fajitas are great, they also have huge burritos as an option and normally bigger is not better because you have to sacrifice flavor, but not here. The big burritos are full of fajita meat, pico, guacamole, rice, beans and SO good! Also love the enchiladas! My sis I are food divas when it comes to Mexican, and most places don’t seem to live up to our standards but this place does with flying colors! I would eat here very other day if I lived in Battle Creek Best Mexican Food In Michigan!
