I feel like this place has redeemed itself for me! I had the fish tacos and they were pretty tasty with a kick. I tried their fish and chips and their tarter sauce is amazing! Their food has a Cajun vibe. I think I’ll be back!

This is an all around great place. We always have great beer and food(their burgers and garlic fries are great) and they have good desserts too. There is a kids area to play in, tvs, nice wait staff and takeout is also good.

Getting to Northwood from Lakeshore is well worth the drive. There is always a good selection of great food & good drinks at reasonable prices. Plus we have always experienced awesome service. And the perk is that tthey have gluten-free items on the menu!

Delicious steak salad, with generous portion of meat. I enjoyed the Backwoods ale, my wife loved the Riesling. Great service and best of all we were fortunate to come on a night with live music. We’ll come back again.

Meatloaf dinner was fantastic, as was our server Jarod. Brought a friend who was visiting from Alaska and he liked the ribs, the biscuits were soft inside and just a little crispy crusty outside-perfect! Whiskey Sour made well, and they use actual Bing cherries instead of the nasty Maraschino ones.

Northwood is definitely not a bad place in Battle Ground. It is kind of in an odd place though. It is in a kind of new development where the parking is a bit wacky, there are vacant store fronts, the property owners still hoping that they will get filled soon and new town house residences line the strip mall. Upon entering there was a brief wait but since we just wanted to drink beer and didn’t want to eat anything a very sweet bartender seated us in the bar. Northwood has it’s own brewery and at the time they had one of their own beers on tap, a red. I got the red and it was very good! While we were enjoying our beer there was a Portland band, Moody Little Sister playing. Steven liked them so much we bought their CD that they had for sale! I hope they have impressive bands like this here all of the time because we went to another brewery the night before and there was a cover band that was quite hair bending in a most unpleasant way!

I really hate to write negative reviews. This place though is a total waste of space in my belly. Both my sister and I wanted the stuffed chicken but were told they discontinued it??? It is still in the menu? Needless to say we ordered something else. Perogies tasty but not filling good starter. Burger why ask how we want it cook if your gonna do it what ever way you want??? Egg on burger was over cooked. Mac and cheese was bland. Salt salt salt. Salmon salad was just ok. Salmon was previously frozen and possibly had freezer burn taste was a bit off. Beers were great! Long story short I know know why mill creek is so packed on a Friday night and this place was not. I hope they respond to this review cause I truly believe this place can be fixed.

Great variety of top drawer beers. Highly recommend the Imperial stouts. Watch the alcohol content of these beers. Many are equal wine.

Well this is most definitely a Public House. I spent a small amount of time here, maybe twice a month. Their beer selection is the best in Battle Ground. Very rustic but classier setting. Live music very often, sports on the many television sets when live entertainment not present. The food overall is very beautifully presented and very tasty. They can be pricey at times, but this is not a huge deal considering how the atmosphere and food contribute together for the dining experience. However, my one complaint is the service, or lack of. It feels like I am forgotten several times I have been there. Usually between 1245 to 445 time slot. Beyond that no complaints and only compliments on everything!

This is my family’s go to restaurant when we want to get together for dinner. I have to say I loved it when it was Laurelwood, and was really nervous about what changes would be happening when they were bought out. But I LOVETHISPLACE! Even more than before. There is something on the menu for everyone, and everything is delicious! The staff is friendly and personable, the wait is never too long(even when the place is booked), and if it is taking a bit too long they always make sure you have everything you need while you are waiting! I would recommend this place to anyone.

Disappointing experience, largely because the service was so-so while the food seemed over-priced and mediocre. In the past I’ve found their happy hour to be worthwhile, but I must say at the moment I’m not too tempted to head back even for that. On the plus side I do like the space.

Happy hour is happy time here. Good food and drinks for reasonable prices. Big menu with lots of options. There is plenty of seating inside the clean spacious building. There is also a bar w/TV and outdoor seating. It doesn’t seem too busy when I have gone. They also have live music every now and then. From the happy hour menu I have tried the nachos, steamed clams, sweet chili wings, and pretzel. The nachos come loaded with all the fixings and looks like a little mountain piled high on the plate. Steamed clams were good and came in a butter garlic sauce. If you get the pretzel you should get the cheese as well. Pretzel was warm, soft inside, and smooth outside. I was disappointed with the wings. Came with six little wings in a basket with veggies, and did not look appealing at all. It was not crispy and the meat was not satisfying. The upside is the bar. They do not serve domestics, and only microbrews. There are alot of choices to try. I wanted something light, so I got the Common Pilsner which was very good. Northwood is a place where you can just relax and have a good time. Fantastic drinks and variety of food definitely puts this place on the map.

The food is just ok; it is far too overpriced for what you get. The last time I was there for lunch I had their Cuban which was $ 11 and made on a pretty mediocre bun. It was also made with shredded pork and stoneground mustard which did not taste the way I expect a Cuban to taste. My wife had a $ 14 prime rib dip sandwich which she said was good, but not worth the price. The kid’s meal for our daughter was $ 5.50 and came with a cafeteria style hamburger, a small cup of apple sauce, and a cookie. Burgerville kid’s meals cost about the same and come with a superior burger. This place isn’t exactly a prime location or a hip date spot, so paying this much for food should mean that the food is great but it’s not.

This is always our favorite place! Great food, friendly servers and nice ambiance. Every time we come we are well treated and the food is always great and predictably so which doesn’t often happen at lesser hit and miss places. You can’t go wrong here!

This was a hard one to rate. The reason? There were four of us and there were some things we felt weren’t quite a 5 star so those needed to be noted. However, three of us rated it a 4.5 and one rated it a 5 star. I probably should round up but there were some quirks. Then, of course, there is no half rating but we are a fan and 4 seems just right. This isn’t a place just off the main drag in Battle Ground. You have to know where you’re going and if you don’t know the little town, you better have a GPS to find it. The outside is unique but nothing special about the inside. However, it was nicely laid out and the bar was separate from the restaurant eating tables. In addition to that, there was a kid’s area in the back. It’s a place to keep the children entertained. We just happened to show up on Monday. That’s the day that Happy Hour lasts from 3:00 until close. We thought it pretty great. However, there is a caveat to that. Some of the food items are quite a bit smaller than regular menu items and you never know until you order it. For example, our first appetizer was the deep fried pickles. Actually, it isn’t pickles … that’s pickle with an S. There was one deep fried pickle cut into thirds and served with ranch dressing. The price for the one pickle? $ 3.95. Now that’s expensive. The pickle was delicious but definitely a rip-off. Another appetizer we ordered was nachos. The price for Happy Hour nachos was $ 5.25. That was a huge delicious serving. We just didn’t know what they cut back and what they didn’t. Other items ordered at our table were the fettuccine alfredo from the Happy Hour menu and smoked salmon alfredo from the dinner menu. The Happy Hour size was perfect and the regular menu size was huge. Steamer clams were ordered from the Happy Hour menu. They are the same size as the dinner menu. The food served was delicious and the service was great. Regular menu items were pretty expensive but it is what it is. We all enjoyed Northwood’s and I’m sure will return.

My wife, in-laws, and I were at Battle Ground Village and literally stumbled upon the 1-year anniversary celebration at Northwood Public House. It was a party. They had beer. ’nuff said. Celebrate good times, come on!(Let’s celebrate) Let’s all celebrate … and have a good time Celebration We gonna celebrate … and have a good time It’s time to come together It’s up to you … what’s your pleasure? Every … one … around … the world … Come on! Northwood features beers from Little Dipper Brewery, so, I tried a couple pints. The first was the Little Dipper Brewery anniversary ISA with a medium bite of hops while the second was a smooth LDBCO Vulcan Imperial Stout. I’d get either again, but would probably steer clear of my wife’s lighter Crux Pilsner. For food, we split some Northwood Wings with Sweet Asian Chili Sauce plus Carrots & Celery and an order of Fish & Chips. The pub grub was a-to-the-o-to-the-k. Besides the beers, the best part of Northwood was the service, live band, and celebratory atmosphere. We didn’t win any of the raffle prizes, but Northwood Public House and Brewery did win me over as a fan. Celebrate good times, come on!
