I ordered a pie for delivery at 5:10. Was told it would be delivered in 45 minutes. After over an hour I called and they said he would be here any minute. 15 minutes later they called me saying that the driver was at my house banging on the door and called my house 4 times with no answer.(I was sitting on my porch with the phone the whole time, neither happened.) They then confirmed the address and asked me if I had a boat in my driveway.(I don’t.) they apologized and said he would be here right away. Another ten minutes goes by(I live no more than 2 minutes from the location) and I call to cancel the order. The manager puts me on hold and the delivery guy finally shows up with an ice cold pie. When I asked what house he went to he told me up the block. I wanted to tell him to take the pie back to the pizzeria but my two year old was starving and was jumping for joy at the sight of the pizza. I stayed on hold the while time and when the manager came back on the phone I asked him what was he going to do to make this right since it wasn’t my fault the driver went to the wrong place and never called me. He told me there was nothing he could do and that they were really busy and i should just put it in the oven if i had one. I understand places make mistakes but they need to do right by their customers. He didn’t even try to do anything to correct the situation and i am incredibly disappointed in this establishments management and customer service skills.

Let me just say, I come back here, but not for the pizza. The staff there is amazing, especially a worker named Tyree. This man is an exceptional worker, and I have had my eye on him for awhile. He is handsome, kind, tall, smart, and… well I could just go on forever! I have always gone there until one horrible day. I walked into Alberts and there he was, chatting with a girl. I couldn’t take seeing this so I got up, and left. It took me awhile to bounce back from this terrible event, so eventually when I was recovered, I built up the courage to return to Alberts. When I came back, he was standing over some girls table writing down everything she said on some little notepad. It was unbelievable! I once again got up and left. After many romance movies, boxes of tissues, and ice cream cartons later, I returned, and there he was. I sat down hoping for him to be my waiter, and I got lucky. He walked up to me with the same little notepad as the one I mentioned earlier, asked me what I wanted, and wrote down what I said. This was a telltale sign that he liked me! I know what you’re thinking, his tactic of writing down what the boy he likes says is a little weird, but it definitely gets me to notice him. I continued to go to Alberts everyday. I was there so much, that Albert himself gave me a discount on all of my orders because he said I was his best customer! How sweet! The best thing is that Tyree is the new delivery boy, so I will be ordering a lot of takeout from now on! I was recently on vacation, but I hope to see Tyree again soon! Oh yea, and the food or service is nothing to excited about.

The quality of the pizza was … good enough… if that’s what you’re o. k with. The problem however… was the size of the pie. Holy cow I thought to myself as the man took the little Itty bitty thing out of the oven… is that a personal pie or am I supposed to actually try to feed a family with that? It’s so… small. Also… avoid the garlic knots… they are the size of your thumb nail and hard as rocks. Sorry Alberts… I know that you are trying. … but you can’t expect people to return to your business if the first thing that they think is that you are ripping them off.

I base my opinion on another location. We have been going to another south shore location which bought us here so we would not be surprised, what a mistake and embarrassing We ordered our normal rectangular 2 pie special which instead of 10 minutes became 25 minutes and they were not doing any business. I asked if I could have some grated cheese as it was not on the table and I was given a small container with one teaspoon in it We ate the pizza a few hours later in Montauk and it was basically bread and sauce. I know where we are going with this but if you are looking for a frugal meal and a «watch your calories» pizza this is it. The owner is obviously counting his napkins and I will never return as the take out menu was disposed of. I don’t know why I took the time to write this but it used to be special

Best pizzeria in the area! We pick up dinner from here almost weekly. Food is always great and be portions are generous. The Albert’s slice is a must try, sauce on top of the cheese — very good. Spinach slice is also amazing. Staff behind the counter is very friendly. Great addition to the Bay Shore area.

Yet another pizza place set up shop in the corner of this shopping center. It’s changed hands a number of times since I’ve been in the area — all tenants thus far not putting out the greatest slice. I’m going to give this place three stars for now since I only tried their specialty pie the Albert Pie which on its own should get 4 stars. The Albert Pizza chain has a number of other locations on Long Island their claim to fame pie is square and the cheese goes down before being layered with their house sauce. If your looking for a very cheesy pie this isn’t it but the balance of cheese to sauce on this pie is quite good. Their sauce isn’t heavy and its seasoned very well. The crust that holds it all together is crispy, buttery and leaves you craving that corner slice for more of the crust. All in all its a very different type of pizza pie — It’s a specific taste you need to be craving to order on the regular.
