Came here with some co-workers today. The waiter was friendly and patient. He explained everything since the menu, which is unique with different and has interesting combos. I ordered the peanut butter, bacon, and cheese burger. It was great.

Glorified fast food. Definitely overpriced for the small quantity you get. You are honestly better off going to McDonalds.

We shared the pb burger and return of the Mac. Pb was amazing but what stole the show was the onion rings. These were the best onion rings I’ve ever had.

Honestly, for a burger place you should probably be willing to cook the burgers to order instead of pushing everything out as medium well… The burger as a whole comes out pretty cold considering it is hot off the grill. This disturbs me greatly. I do like the thin patty and the flavor is good. Local beer selection is awesome and the service was great. Pricey.

Had the make your own burger with an Arnold Palmer, slaw and shared the fiddy-fiddy fries(onion rings and French fries). The burger was good, slaw was ok(wouldn’t order again) and the Arnold Palmer is very tangy and sweet so beware. Sauces were good and staff was friendly. Visiting from CA so overall a decent spot but wouldn’t go out of my way to head too. If you’re in the area and want a burger than why not. Prices are a little more than your typical burger place because it’s the new«trendy» gourmet type burgers.

Great addition to Bay Shore! I love their focus on local suppliers for their meats, booze & even ice cream. I’ve tried a few different burgers so far and their Blue Ribbon is definitely a favorite. They have lots of tasty options for sides too including, but not limited to, fried horseradish pickle chips and sea salt & truffle fries. I live locally(no pun intended) and recently started using their app to place take out orders. So easy that I had to use it two nights in a row :) My only wish is that they offered some turkey or chicken options.

Man did I love this burger… I thought it was great as far as quick greasy burger joints go, packed with onion and flavor, good drinks. But wow did I get sick shortly after, my buddy said he was uneasy as well but it really hit me hard, I’m scared to go back but it was so good. Guess I’ll be missing out on any in the future– better safe than sorry

They have interesting sodas and cocktails. Mexican Coca-Cola(real sugar) and Saranac brewed root beer(goood). I ordered a PB& B cheddar burger. Peanut Butter… Bacon… Cheddar. The menu said«trust us» and so I did. It was good. Burgers are 4oz but tasty. Truffle Fries were a bit soggy but tasty. Under 20 bucks with tip. OK and would go again with people who want to try it but five guys is better but not as edgy.

The better burger places on long island thats not Shake Shack or Five Guys. Some of complaints on here are ridiculous. The food here is great, I do agree though the patty is somewhat thin, but I do like this because I left the place satisfied and not hating myself. You may actually have room for a shake or some type of desert. To quote the great Louis CK — «I don’t stop eating when I’m full. The meal isn’t over when I’m full. It’s over when I hate myself.» The fries options to go with your burger is great and to top it all off it isn’t all that expensive in the end. Out of all the burger places I’ve been too I think this ranks up at the top. If you’re looking for a gourmet fat burger, just BBQ one yourself at home.

I will say this, The women and the guys that work at this joint are an attractive young group. The place itself is very nice and hip. Aesthetically this place is excellent as is the food. That said there portions are small. I had the return of the Mack burger and the patty was as thick as a Big Mac patty I was surprised at that. I asked for extra bacon on my burger and I’m glad I did because had I not it seems like there would have only been one strip. Thankfully the Mac and cheese had good flavor. The bun is small and good it matches the burger. The Drinks are weak but it’s a NY burger joint not a Vegas burger joint. For the amount they charge it should be better or at least in a bigger cup. I had two drinks and it was as if I was drinking water smh. The fries were just okay. I would go back for lunch and order something different. All and all its okay

Wow did this place up the ante and respond well to criticism. Atmosphere– noisy, open, industrial. I feel like I need a booster seat on the booth seats. The staff are young, outgoing, and friendly. They use tablets to show pictures of specials and place orders. The best part there is no transfer errors. Food– burgers with a conscious(local products, grass-fed, organic when possible). The gluten-free buns appear house-made, are delicious, and taste like soft biscuits. The veggie patty is an improved, moist blend of quinoa and beans. Creative(and sometimes glutinous) options– Wake n bacon(French toast bun, burger, bacon, cheese, home fries, and an egg) or Street fair(burger, sausage, peppers, and onions). Price– can be high, especially when you start to sub for veggie patties and gluten-free buns(both $ 1+). I think it’s worth the price. Plan on $ 20pp with a drink.

I can see this place sticking around for a while. Burger restaurant that’s nothing fancy but specializes on «local» and organic product including local beers and spirits. The burgers were actually quite good as were the hand cut fries. Ordered a side of chili and it was meaty and very tasty. Service is a bit on the d’uh side, twice they got my order wrong, but still friendly and accommodating. Everything is a la carte but prices are still low including drinks. It’s crowded and loud so be prepared to wait for seating and don’t expect conversation either. All in all, it’s a good place to come for burgers.

Warning: Snarky quick POV of a little girl who doesn’t eat beef. Hooray!: — Friendly on point service. The girls at the counter were quick to smile, take orders and suggest items. — Quiona burger was flavorful — Selection of cocktails with plenty of titos and ginger beer for $ 9? Yes, please. — Beautiful interior with an open air storefront. — Emphasis on fresh, local food — Relatively inexpensive Nay!: — As expected, most of the products served here were once mooing. I would have liked to see some more exotic menu items or even a turkey burger? — Burger size is, well, smaller than expected. — Sweet potato fries came out unappealingly mushy. — The special jerk chicken burger was comprised of lukewarm dried out chicken pieces in the bun. Spiced– but underwhelming and lacking heat. — Props for a local products, quinoa burger and even gluten free buns for the crazy folk(or those that genuinely are unfortunate enough to have celiac disease), but as a whole I was not impressed with the menu. Two stars is admittedly harsh as I understand they’re new and working kinks out. There’s potential here so I will be back for another go when the opportunity arises.

Was very excited when I saw the sign going up for this place. Finally was able to drop in yesterday and glad I did. The space had a nice open feel to it — trendy yet industrial. We got seated along the back row of banquet tables if you choose to sit on the booth seat side and your short like me you may feel the need for a booster seat though — wished the table was a little lower to the ground for me. Service was friendly and quick — my husband had the rum punch cocktail and I had a spike iced tea drink both super delicious and not overpowering. Thumbs up to their bartenders! He ordered a make your own burger with chili cheese fries and their house dipping sauce I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with sea salt truffle oil fries and a garlic aioli dipping sauce. My husband felt the burgers were kinda thin but they did taste good — he enjoyed the chili fries but their house dipping sauce wasn’t anything special. I myself enjoyed my meal much more — the pulled pork sandwich was one of the best I’ve had. The sauce was sweet but smokey and the pork tender. The coleslaw was crispy, creamy and a great topping to the pork. The bun didn’t fall apart at all and it was delicious. The sandwich came with their version of baked beans which basically was the same«chili» they put on the cheese fries my husband got and I loved it. Meaty and full of BBQ flavor — I liked dipping the cornbread muffin it came with in it. I literally should of not ordered the fries since the sandwich came with the beans and corn muffin and anyway fries were ok nothing to write home about. Next time I would opt for the sweet potatoes fries that the couple sitting next to us got and they smelled divine! All in all I think as long as they keep up with the good service, good ingredients and wonderful cocktails they should become a great staple to the growing restaurant scene in Bayshore.

Let’s talk about my lunch at Local Burger — the newest addition to the Bay Shore restaurant scene. Good yes — but it could easily be better. First of all. Our waitress was adorable and efficient. One of my friends(old enough to be her grandfather) actually wanted to take her home… Our meals were fine(burgers and fries…) but could have been much better had we been able to get them cooked anything but medium-well. Onion rings and fries very good. Milkshakes could use improvement. Small and thin doesn’t rate a $ 5.00 cost. Lastly, the menu is very weak. No salads at all or even a turkey burger for those who don’t want red meat. Local is ok for now, but with some improvements could be much better.

This place is legit. They are making some great drinks, affordable food and in a fun atmosphere. I tried an Atomic burger and Smokey(?). Both were pretty good. I’d probably go with the same next time. The prices were perfect. I definitely need two burgers this size if I’m really hungry. So at 6 and change a burger it was well worth it. My only suggestion/complaint would be that they use bigger cups for some of their cocktails. The rum punch specifically. Given the amount of ice, size of glass, you don’t get a whole lotta drink for $ 9. Other then that, their drink menu is pretty awesome. It’s new and people are flocking here so expect a wait if you come during prime time. We had a 30 minute wait but turn around was fast, we sat in 15. Will be back often.

So glad this placed opened – lucky me near my home and office! Been there twice since they opened and the food has been amazing every time. They use locally sourced ingredients when they can – the pickles come from commack, the ice cream for the floats from bay shore, the bay shore butcher supplies the meat, and the beer and wine is local too. Had the hipster burger(a burger with fried bologna) and the hangover burgers(burger with fried egg), each were delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned. the truffle fries are great, but the best side dish is the baked beans. Ordinarily i wouldn’t even consider them as a side item, but ever since the owner walked us out a sample on our first visit, i’m hooked. Try the cornbread too. quite yummy. If you are not going back to work and are there for a cocktail too – the specialty drinks are innovative and delicious. they even have rootbeer on draft. Highly recommended, great food, awesome vibe.

Was eagerly awaiting coming to this place, and I am so happy that it lived up to the hype! Bayshore and Long Island needed this place. The staff is friendly and so helpful. The menu is awesome, whoever designed it is genius, so many good options. I tried the PB& B… something I would never in a million years go for, but it wound up being amazing. A bacon cheeseburger with peanut butter on it… incredibly good! Also ordered a side of truffle fries which were perfect and not over-powering. Cannot wait to come here and try everything else on the menu. Excellent food, great, service, awesome concept and modern, cool, décor. Love it! Best of luck to this place!
