Just came back from Father’s Day dinner. We were a group of five and happened to order steak for four of us. They couldn’t get our order right. We had to switch steak around the table based how we each ordered. Sides were all wrong too. They had to bring 2 sides to make up for the error but I was charged for 1. What? When we pointed out how our orders were wrong, the waitress gave ridiculous excuses like the kitchen got confused with 4 orders of steak and insisted what was brought out were correct. Seriously we know what we ordered. She also pointed our good fortune of ending up with two extra sides. Wow, thanks alot! I don’t think we will be returning there anytime in the near future. I would have given no star for the service but te food was not so bad so I gave 2.

Went there for dinner hadn’t been to this location in years. They had renovated it since I had been there. It looks good the place was very busy it was around 11 p.m. we had had it two for 20 meal… the food was fabulous. We also had great drinks, food, and service & we’re not rushed out of there. We had plenty of time to have conversation and to catch up and not being rushed out of the restaurant. Even when we left around 1 a.m. the place was still semi crowded with people.

I usually enjoy coming to Applebee’s with my friends and talk about civil engineering. But this time something was different… and I belive it was my waiter. This person had the audacity to tell me I couldn’t eat food from a different restaurant. At this point I am like whirling dervish so I order all the shakes on the menu and drank them all. But little did they know I was eating my pizza under the table. Next time I eat here I plan on bringing my own fried mushrooms and scatter them across the men’s room.

Can’t really go wrong with some appetizers and some ice cold brews plus the staff is always friendly people there are generally dad just to have a good time noted to have to worry about stucco people for not being able to watch the game while you’re drinking wine having a few appetizers with friends

I’m embarrassed to say I went to Applebee’s. You know the food is bad when you actually feel guilty when shoving glorified microwave processed food in your face. It wasn’t my idea but my friends… c’mon! Thursday’s half off appetizers! FINE! I’LLGO! YOUPAY! So ordered the half off appetizers… and what we received was a sloppy mess of something dug out from the far depths of that freezer your aunt has in her basement whenever«company» is over. You know EXACTLY what I’m talking about!!! Some Nacho dish that had a gray colored pulled porkish like meat on it. Mozzarella sticks that were room temp… chicken fingers that looked like it was pulled out of a pigs troth. Chicken Taquitos that was served on a steel slab that came from a toaster oven. I’m done… I cannot support such establishments. I felt like crying after just witnessing such a travesty of food.

On two separate occasions the silverware was disgusting. This time we had to go through three sets before the manager finally went back and washed some himself. Also, the waitress interrupted us mid conversation by talking over us rather rudley. Food is consistently Appelbee’s quality but the seat, table and silverware were crusty. Concern over cleanliness will keep us from returning.

I’ve had a bad experience here a few months back but all I can say is since you guys hired new people and changed your menu I’ve been in love!!! Great service my food came out in a timely manner and everything was super good! I will definitely be back if they can keep up with this new vibe! Excellent! Keep it up!

Clean and fun! Simple food that is good and fast! Rather eat here than a fast food take out. Tell them you’re in a rush and they will prioritize you to get out quick. Do yourself a favor and eat right.

I went here about 2 months ago with a co-worker of mine and the service was horrible. We went for lunch, the place was pretty quite for that time, but there was some traffic. Now let me start off by saying that this review is all about our waiter, I am not trashing the place itself, because I am pretty sure there are other waiters who actually do their job and I will not blame everyone for one persons incompetence. From the moment we were greeted by our waiter I knew something was wrong. He was very unprofessional, and I don’t mean that in the sense that he was rude, nasty, ect. I say that because he was very slow in comprehending are questions and wasn’t listening at all. First of all, he was too busy watching the tv screen that was right above our table(we sat by the bar, next to the wall). They were showing an MMA fight and he clearly was too focused on that. The worst part is that he would actually admit to watching the tv and not paying attention. He would literally say«Oh, sorry(he would then point to the tv) that guy was losing». Second of all, he was exhausted and not exhausted because he didn’t get a good nights sleep. He was exhausted because he had one too many drinks with another co-worker the night before and didn’t get back home until late. How do I know, you ask? Oh! That is because he told us. Yep! You read that correctly, he absolutely told us. Mind you, he mentioned it like it was nothing, like we were just having a normal conversation amongst friends. After an excruciating amount of time dealing with him from time to time, because lets face it even after all of that he was barely checked on us during our stay. We waited longer than we should for our check and even by that time he was still horrible at his job. My friend and I decided to split the bill, so we gave him both of our cards. In the most simplest way, we explained what amount would go to each card(granted both cards were different Visa/MC). Our waiter literally just stood there both cards in hand, and stared blankly into space, clearly burning wood with hard he is processing what we just said. I was completely appalled and I am sorry if this post sounds rude, but I just couldn’t believe the service we received by this employee. I work in the customer service field(different areas) and so I consider myself to be very polite and understanding of those employees who are assisting me, simply because I know the pressure. This employee though had me fuming! Afterwards, I immediately e-mailed the company and explained the situation. Quickly after I received an e-mail stating(and I quote) «We received your feedback regarding your visit to the East Islip Applebee’s and have forwarded it to Apple Food Service, our franchisee that owns this location. One of their representatives should be contacting you within the next four business days.» However, it is now July 30th of 2014 and I have heard nothing from them! I love Applebees, but I will never return to this location after the service I received and the lack of communication from hire management.

I don’t come here often, but when I have, it’s a good meal with a wonderful selection of beer. We come on the early side, around 5:00, and there has never been a wait. The staff is pleasant and courteous, often checking up on us. I enjoy the apps, but the menu is inventive and has new items when we come back. If you like chili’s, you’ll like this Applebee’s, give it a shot, you’ll like it here.

This review is based on CURBSIDE or TOGO however they call it only. With that out of the way. Here I come: Went to use the curb side pick up on a scorching hot day, and the waitress decided my infant and I hadn’t roasted enough all day to make me wait on the phone while trying to place the order, and be absolutely uncooperative, inconsiderate and rude! I asked for help regarding the combos«granted I had already attempted to look up the menu on my phone» with no luck — So, no not a lazy one here. She acted as though she was swamped with work because every question I asked seemed like it was a bother followed by a grumpy sigh. This is again, specially helpful when its 95 degrees outside and I am trying not to wake up my son. After much frustration I decided to go up there and get my order to see for myself why this woman lacked customer service skilss. Get there and they weren’t busy at all. Waht? I got a small salad and wrap and left. The food was not nicely packed, and although it was ok… Am I going back there for pick up? NOTHANKS!
