Had an excellent brunch there, best I’ve had in a while!!! The manager Heather was very accommodating, she made my Bloody Mary personally and it was great. The place is great and she is a gem!!!

This place is mediocre at best. Slow service and average food. Had cold undercooked french toast and had to flag down wait staff for coffee refills. Came with elderly mother with walker and no one helped get us seated.

Can’t quite understand the poor reviews… Went for the«2 for Tuesday» package and was very pleased. The restaurant had a nice buzz — filled with hungry bargain hunters. Our server was friendly and helpful. Although my onion soup starter was substandard, everything else on the table was fine. Salads, salmon, and pot-roast were all ok. Sides were also good. Large portions and priced extremely fairly. How can you complain?

Wanted to like this place. It has nice curb appeal and had a friendly staff, but the food was a flop. It wasn’t absolutely terrible but not something I would want to eat on purpose. My chicken penne pasta was soaking in a watery sauce that tasted like something from a Fazolis.

After learning that this is a restaurant owned by the Bohlsen Group my husband and I decided to give it a try… BADCHOICE. The restraurant décor is outdated, the tables were dirty and the restaurant just needs to be completely renovated. The menus were sticky(obviously never cleaned), the food was mediocre at best and the staff was indifferent. It took our bartender 10 minutes to even greet us. Fridays would have been a better choice. Very disappointed to see this restaurant on the Bohlsen Group website. As a patron of Prime, Verace, H20 and Monsoon I expected better service and quality. Disappointing to say the least.

This place is ok. Been there a couple of times, really nothing special about the food. Drinks are ok, wednesday drink deals are pretty cool. Staff seems like they’ve worked there their whole life and are sick of it! No enthusiasm at all, barely smile like wtf! Anyway, just a regular american cusine.(Btw, Karen the bartender SUCKS!!! shes rude and her drinks suck… and God forbid you ask her for another drink, she said«wow you guys are thirsty»! How RUDE! geez her attitude is horrible)

Went for the express lunch. Garden salad was very fresh, turkey club was excellent. Our waitress was prompt and attentive. I would definitely return based on my experience.

I went there tonight and had the Lobster Bake for $ 15.99. I was well worth it. The clams and mussels were very tasty, the corn was delicious and the lobster was very good, although a bit on the chewy side(a little overboiled … perhaps not with enough vinegar and salt in the water). I also had the caesar salad, which was very fresh. The waitress was not very attentive, and she took a long time getting the food and the check to us. Otherwise, everyone was very friendly and accommodating … especially to my elderly friend who had chosen this place for us to go to for dinner because they have a handicapped entrance with a ramp for people with walkers.

I stopped by the Beachtree Restaurant last night with my family after a Ducks game. The building looks like a country inn from the outside. There is very ample parking in their lot. Getting seated was very quick. The food was good and the waiter was polite and attentive. I had the Steak Salad which was fine. My nephew had the All America Burger which he liked also. The pricing was reasonable for a table of 4. There is a bar area off to the side with large screen TV’s. The bar space looked open and comfortable but would not be ideal to attract very large sports crowds. One concern we had is that the main dining area appeared cramped. It looked like all the booths and tables were seemingly pushed together. Any way, we had a pleasant dinner and the staff is very professional. We would certainly consider the Beachtree the next time we visit East Islip. gk.

Went last night for dinner with the kids after not visited in quite some time. Was not at all happy with the service, waited a long time for the waitress to take our order, felt that the service was sub par at best. We sat several minutes with 3 empty glasses as the waitress ran back and forth without even glancing at our table. Was disappointed with the tiny dinner salad that contained 4 very small shrimp. Food was just so-so– will not be visiting any time soon.

Came here for dinner, read some bad reviews but was told by a few people this place was good. Ordered the salad with grilled marinated shrimp which was very good, the dressing had some great flavoring. For 2 people and each of us getting a drink(glass of wine and a mojito) our bill was only $ 50, wow, not bad for the quality of food. Only downside, our waitress was very slow moving, we were there for a few minutes before she came over and asked for what we wanted to drink. Overall great place and will definitely be back.

This place is alright, the drinks are okay, and I only go here for the convenience of an express lunch. The deal on Tuesdays is great — buy one get one free, however the wait staff is a little slow. The waitresses don’t seem to have all tables in one section which is frustrating and hard to flag them down. The food is alright I keep going back to the same things because I feel that if I wander and try something else I am disappointed. Convenient location — french onion soup is really good though.

My wife and I have been here a few times in the past, a few years ago, and used to like it for the small charm and pleasant service. But our recent foray into the Beachtree café a few days ago left a sour taste on our palate’s. Service was the worst! My wife was munching on a side dish of fried calamari and discovered she had a small piece of plastic in her mouth. We told the bus boy beside us; and he just took the dish away without a word. No one came by, no one mentioned the dish, not even a replacement. After waiting a good 15 minutes wondering what was going on. I spoke with our waiter when he came by. We told I’m about it and asked him what happened to the appetizer? He was surprised, had no idea about it, apologized and went to check. When he came back all he said was, «Yeah, sorry everything we have is wrapped in plastic wrap so the piece must have came from there». They didn’t offer to replace the dish or even take it off the bill. OK! So your customer gets a foreign material in their food and you just say sorry and do nothing? They took the dish away with half the calamari uneaten. Even the Chinese take out place down the road from us is more courteous! Come on now, It’s a side dish! not even the main meal. It’s not like we want something for nothing, but we certainly don’t want to eat plastic! The main course we ordered was however good, so no complaints there. We both ordered the Chicken cordon bleu. But be careful not all there dishes are as delightful. For example do not order the Seafood fra diavalo, Pesto chicken sandwich, or their Burgers. however the Chipotle Chicken and Avocado Sandwich is very good, as is the Chicken cordon bleu we ordered mention above. Service was a tad slow but forgivable and when asked how the food was we told them it was good, which it was. Though to top off the evening, the waiter gives us the wrong bill from another table. We had to wait for him to appear again to tell him«uhm, this isn’t our bill». Luckily we got the right bill and of course the calamari was still on there, as I knew it would be from the responses I had gotten. We paid the bill and didn’t complain further and still left the waiter his fare wage of tip. Now I say«Fare» and not«Fair» because tips have become part of the cost of the meal instead of a generous donation as they were meant to be. Diagnosis: Internal Service Combustion .

The Beachtree café is always a great choice for us. The food is consistently good and they have great weekday deals. We never have had a problem with service. This is an «ol reliable» for our family. My favorite dish is the Mahi Mahi.

Went for the first time today for lunch. Will not be going back anytime soon. Ordered a burger. Overcooked and had no flavor. Asked for a refill in my iced tea. Still waiting! The décor is in need of a desperate makeover. There are much better places in Islip. Go there and enjoy your lunch!

I used to really love this place. It wasn’t mind-blowing food, but everything was flavorful and pretty decent(except for the«fluffy» buttermilk pancakes … those were as flat and weak and stringy as the frozen ones), and you simply couldn’t beat the value. However, as time has gone on, they’ve steadily declined in quality. The 15-minute lunch service is a joke — my friends and I work in a time-sensitive office, and we waited 45 minutes just to get our food, between being ignored by the waitress to the actual food. The make-your-own salad option is gone, replaced by uncreative combinations, whose dressing tastes straight out of the bottle. The lettuce is soggy and weak, and a lot of the flavors they have paired don’t really mesh that well. I haven’t been back there for dinner in a while, but the last 3x I ordered the Eggs Benedict for brunch, the sauce was thin and watery, and tasted like just straight up melted butter … and not in a good way. The hash browns – which, when fresh, are delicious – were cold the last two times. Miserable. I’m so disappointed that a Bohlsen restaurant that started off so positively has gone so thoroughly downhill in the past 6 months. They were a legitimate 4 stars before, but they’re no longer a go-to for a tasty meal at an economical price. On the other hand, their marketing customer service is really great. They send out gift cards like there’s no tomorrow, and they’re always advertising things like BOGO dinners(Tuesdays) and value-added combo plates. But you get what you pay for now, versus a year ago, where you were shocked at how cheap good food could be.

The food here is good, consistent, the pricing is good, and the menu is extensive. Don’t expect anything awful but don’t expect anything off the charts, either. Your experience here really depends entirely on the server you get.

This place is pretty good. The menu is extensive, the food is decent, the prices are reasonable. I find that the upstairs dining room kind of sucks: it’s ugly and harder to call over a server, but it’s not the worst thing. The nachos are insane! If you’re going here, you HAVE to get them. They are huge with chicken finger bits and like a billion different types of cheeses in all different textures. Soooo good. Also, they have a cool make-your-own salad thing, where you get to choose excactly what you want tossed up. That’s nice and gives you a satisfying sense of control. Overall, this place is pretty good. Not amazing, but good and fairly priced.
