We were recommended to come here from another local restaurant that served us one of their tasty apple pie. We decided to try it out as their apple pie was great. I ended up getting their ice cream which was nothing too special. Their peanut brittle was pretty tasty. The low star rating was due to our experience with the owner. My girlfriend really enjoyed the apple pie so much she decided to approach the owner(who was making a some pastry) and said«we really enjoyed your apple pie!» The owners only response was«Oh, ok,» and then she turned around and said nothing else. Umm, that was kind of rude especially if someone was complimenting your food. Their treats are good, but their customer service was lacking friendliness, unfortunately.

The perfect stop for people with a sweet tooth. They don’t have everything, but they have some good classics, fudge, ice cream, and some fun special candy options(like oversized jaw breakers!). We came home with some fudge and I always love getting their chocolate covered raisins. The fudge is amazing — try the turtle! I need to try their cinnamon rolls and ice cream — I can’t believe I haven’t yet but they looks so delicious.

What a great find! The candy was wonderful. And the prices were so low that we had to come back every day for more! The service was amazing — every day we were left with the greeting that they hoped we enjoy our stay in Bayfield. The Candy Shoppe was one of the delightful reasons that we’ll be back.

They make their own waffle cones, they serve AMAZING icecream and it is heaven in a little store. Cute, quaint and yummy!

Oh man, I don’t think you can go wrong with anything they have inside. I think we must have came here three times throughout our trip, sampling the ice cream, baked goods, and candy. Worth waiting in line every time, never disappointed once. Definitely do not pass through Bayfield without stopping here.

This place is highly recommended! It’s like a paradise for the sweet tooth! As a student from uw-madison, I never thought that there could be any place which sold cheaper and better ice cream than our Babcock ice cream. But it is true! We had two ice cream waffles. One had coconut joy and the candy shop special, and the other had chocolate and butter pecan. The waffles were huge and the flavors were fabulous! As recommended by an earlier review, we ordered the apple crispy pie with cinnamon ice cream. The combination was sooo good! Also, we tried the toffee, which was the best toffee I ever had~ but it’s a pity that their cinnamon roll and wine bread already sold out~ still sad for missing them~ also, all the food was so good that I couldn’t stop eating till finished, so didn’t take an pictures~ ;)

Wow! We purchased a blueberry wine bread which is like a large Croatian breakfast roll. Man! Was it outstanding! We also had a scoop of ice cream(rocky road, mocha almond fudge, and mint chocolate) served in their homemade waffle cones. Best cones we have ever had! Don’t miss this place!

Super cute little place! We ordered a raspberry wine bread and picked it up the next day and it was to die for!

I’m not sure where all of these people came from right at 9 a. m in this tiny quaint town, but the Unilocalers were right, get there on time! Frankly, I don’t know when Bayfield blew up, but I’m starting to feel a bit crowded in the ‘hidden gem’ of my childhood. Guess this place being in Bön Appetite doesn’t help ;) Cinnamon bun is good, but not mind blowing, I think Cinnabon is even tastier… just sayin

I love this place! It is the epitome of a small town bakery/candy store. The cinnamon rolls are so rich and delicious and the frosting is very buttery delicious. On the weekend, you better get there early to get one or they will be gone. You can order ahead to have them reserve some for you. I come to Bayfield almost every weekend in the summer and it is great to be recognized and greeted by name by Dan and Beverly. Don’t miss this place.

I can only comment on the raspberry cheese wine bread. Fantastical! So good. A chef friend told us about this place and the wine bread so we put in an order. The counter person was so sweet and cheerful. Obviously she liked working there. I took my wife back later to see all they had to offer. A real find and we’ll be back everytime we visit Bayfield.

A tiny shop with an amazing amount of goodies. We walked in and were face to face with some of the largest, most delicious looking cinnamon buns I’ve ever seen — made Cinnabons look like crap, for real. We were able to resist and chose ice cream instead — chocolate malt with chocolate covered peanuts and a caramel swirl — delicious! If you want traditional candy, you can pick your own taffy mix or they have pre-bagged gummy candies in several varieties. Behind the counter are homemade chocolates with several varieties in sugar-free if you prefer. If you’re here during Bayfield’s very awesome Apple Fest, know that the Candy Shoppe is consistently awarded the«best apple pie» award so you’ll definitely want to check it out.

This place is very good. Nice selection of ice creams and candies. It is very popular and can be crowded on a high afternoon. I’ve heard the cinnamon rolls are fantastic but I didn’t get the chance to try them.

The Candy Shoppe might be my favorite store in Bayfield. One step inside is like being transported back in time. The wonderful smells of fudge and baked goods hit you right when you walk in the door. While they have a lot of delicious chocolate candies to choose from, the homemade apple crisp bars immediately called my name. It was served just warmer than room temperature with a generous scoop of cinnamon ice cream. This bar was like heaven with a flaky pastry crust and tons of fresh and cinnamony apples. Combined with the creamy cinnamon ice cream and it was the perfect afternoon treat.

It’s places like this that made you grow up with a mouth full of metal. Gladly. Totally hooked on the chocolate ice cream, and got it every evening I wasn’t getting the panna cotta dessert at Rittenhouse Inn. A wide variety of flavors never confuse me because I only eat chocolate. Love the nostalgia candy, especially the taffy. I would be here every day if I could. It’s fun to watch the workers in action.

Simply put, some of(if not the) best cinnamon rolls I have ever had in my life. Period. The place opens up at 9am, show up right then and you will be treated to fresh cinnamon rolls, straight out of the oven, still hot to the touch. They are amazing. You don’t need to know anything else. Just go to Bayfield, go to the Candy Shoppe at 9am, watch the wonderful owner making amazing cinnamon rolls. Enjoy!
