I just can’t tell you how impressed I was with the service and the owners. Personable and welcoming they introduced me to some Gluten Free products and had their own custom made GF pasta.
They have a specialty of mac and cheese of the day, I ordered it… Canadian bacon and apples… fabulous.
My wife had a lovely lake trout.
Honestly I live in Chicago and I can tell you I would love to have them in my neighborhood and I know this skill would translate to any locale.
Can wait till my next motorcycle ride leads me to Bayfield.

We’re there on a ‘Tuesday back to the sixties night’ after Labor Day. Enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the service. Our waitress and — I think — one of the owners really made us feel welcome.
We splitted an appetizer with different kind of bruschettas. For main I had a wildmushroom pesto pizza and my love a burger. Both excellent. Only remark is about the fries. We’re both not found off sweet patato fries.

1st stop on my visit to the north was some dinner in this relaxing lakeshore town. Being so close to the source a whitefish dish was clearly the dish of choice. I went with a basil pesto pasta with whitefish while the wife went with the salmon and asparagus.
The pasta was lacking in pizaz but the fish was extremely delectable, and this is from one who if you had to pigeon hole into a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ on liking fish I’d have to jump in the ‘no’. The seasoning on the whitefish was lemony and salty and delicious while the salmon was buttery.
So a little downgrade for the accompanients to the fish but in all an excellent dinner, good hosts, and a pleasent atmosphere. Thanks!

This place is awesome. We have been frequenting this restaurant for 6 years and have always been amazed. The pasta is fresh and is perfectly cooked. Sauces are homemade and delish. The wild rice pasta in cream sauce is awesome and unique. We love the owners who are retired and love what they do. If you are in Bayfield WI, check this place out. Be sure however to make reservations. If not the wait is well worth it
